Wharfedale House - Leonard Cheshire Description

Wharfedale House is a home providing a range of services for adults with physical disabilities.

Wharfedale House is a purpose-built home in Wetherby, a lovely market town in Yorkshire. The house is only a few hundred yards away from the market square and has extensive views of the River Wharfe and surrounding countryside.

Wetherby is perfectly placed between Leeds, Harrogate and York. Leeds is a vibrant city with plenty of attractions, festivals and music events, while York is well known for its architecture and café culture. Harrogate is a popular tourist destination, famous for its spas and tea houses. Residents can also visit the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors.

Our residents make sure their home has a lively atmosphere. At their request, we offer a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts, computing, music and floristry. There are also various events held in the home such as barbeques and an annual fete. Wharfedale House has its own charity shop in Wetherby, where residents like to get involved by holding fundraising events.

Our fully-trained staff work hard to ensure everybody here is happy in their home. We pride ourselves on putting our residents first and we support everybody to be both independent and to take part in community activities as they wish.
