We are so excited about the idea of having a cafe. An amazing cake table goes without saying, but we also want to showcase our bread with gorgeous sandwiches and toasties. What would you want to eat in your ideal allergy conscious bakery cafe? Don't forget to pledge and help us make this real! #TeamWildcraft https://www.kickstarter.com/…/wildcraft -bakery-the-next-pha…

User

Thanks so much to everyone who has pledged so far, we're on a roll! One thing that's really important to us about our new space is accessibility. Inclusivity is at the heart of our plans for the new bakery, whether it's dietary issues or physical ability, we want everyone to be able to sit and eat together. Here's Mina with more thoughts... https://www.kickstarter.com/…/wildcraft -bakery-the-next-pha…#

User

We may be busy with our kickstarter project, but it's still business as usual at Wildcraft. Here's a couple of the very diverse bespoke cakes we made last week. Fresh cream cake and a cycling fan's special 😊 #TeamWildcraft

User

It may not look like much, but we'd love to call it home. Imagine this space as a bright, welcoming bakery, where you can bring anyone to eat tasty, freshly baked goods. Please help us by supporting our kickstarter. Choose a reward in return for your donation. If we don't raise the full amount we get nothing. No money will be taken until the full amount is raised. We have lots of new postal options, check out the rewards at https://www.kickstarter.com/…/wildcraft -bakery-the-next-pha…# #TeamWildcraft

User

Think of a Kickstarter like you buying things from us in advance. From superhero reveal cakes to mail order yum yums, there are rewards for every budget. With Kickstarter, its all or nothing. So if we don't hit our target, we don't get to keep ANY of the funds you've pledged. So please pledge, share and spread the word. Together, we can do it!

Wow, first visit this morning for my wife and we were both blown away by the choice and enthusiasm of the team. We bought doughnuts (which didn’t make it to the car) along with whoopie pies and bread. All tasted and amazing. We will be back

User

Wow wow wow. I’ve been on the hunt for some nice bread rolls and cakes for Christmas for everyone to enjoy together rather than being singled out! The products we bought today are amazing! Sourdough rolls. And a marble cake. Not forgetting the crepe which I devoured walking round the kirkstall deli market thank you!

User

Well I've just been reduced to happy, disbelieving tears in the bakery - 2 years after my coeliac diagnosis I've just tasted bread that actually has the squashy bread texture that you could make a sandwich from, - rather than cakey, crumbliness that you have to eat with a knife and fork!!! I can't express how happy this has made me. Thank you so sooooooo much

User

We popped in today for the first time and were blown away by the selection. We've just polished off our scones and they were delicious. My non-coeliac friend said they were the best he's ever eaten! All very reasonable priced and a very warm and friendly welcome too. I’ll definitely be back in the very near future!

User

We discovered Wildcraft through a foraging course run by Mina some time ago, which was a brilliant day out and we were very well fed. Since then my partner (who is not gluten free) rates your sourdough as his favourite bread! I had my first chance to try some newer creations at the coeliac fair this week, and am already a little bit in love with the cinnamon buns and the doughnuts... first doughnut I've been able to eat in about 15 years. I can't rate Wildcraft highly enough :)

User

Visited the bakery for the first time at the weekend and went a bit crazy..... whoppie pies, brioche burger buns, jam donuts and an amazing Sourdough loaf!!!!!!!! All amazing and delicious... thank you so much.... I can’t wait to come back!

User

The most amazing Gluten Free baked goods you will ever eat. Mina is a total wizard when it comes creating fare that will satisfy all of your senses, and leave you feeling happy inside. There's always a warm welcome at the bakery, and lots of laughter to enhance your buying experience. I can highly recommend!

User

Thank you so much Wildcraft for making my partners 40th birthday cake. He absolutely loved it! He was really impressed with the craftsmanship of the cake and how true to the Boba Fett character it looked! It tasted amazing and everyone at his birthday party was saying how tasty it was. It went down a storm. We’ll certainly be back!

User

So my husband came on Saturday to buy me some after work treats!! He was amazed at how friendly everyone was and how beautiful the products being made were.... and best of all he had a bite of my doughnut and said they were better than a normal one!!!!

I've just had a whoopie pie for breakfast and I'm one happy customer.

User

Oh my gosh, if you are a Coeliac this place is HEAVEN! My 9 years old coeliac son is seriously happy when we head on over. The doughnuts are incredible as is their tasty bread. This morning we took our doughnuts to Golden Acre park and enjoyed them after a dog walk with a hot cup of tea. Sugar everywhere and it was awesome! Thanks ladies your bakery Rocks!!

User

I took my daughter here today. It was great that she could choose anything she liked and felt 'normal' and she's definitely enjoyed everything she's had so far! The staff were lovely and are clearly enthusiastic about what they do. Well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back!!

User

I popped along to Wildcraft Bakery this week, and it proved to be a lovely little oasis on a cold wet day. I now can’t wait for my next visit. I rang ahead to check opening times: Mina answered very cheerfully, and said that she’d put the kettle on.

I was met with delicious smells as I arrived at the Bakery, and received a lovely warm welcome as I sat down with my baby. Mina straight away offered me a cup of tea, and a selection of Whoopie Pies. The chocolate and blackberry version, vegan and gluten free, was to die for. She also kindly bought a miniature pie for my little one to have a chomp on.

We had a great chat as Mina iced more pies for some upcoming events. She made me feel very welcome, letting me try some of her delicious gluten free bread, and thoughtfully brought over some left over carrot puree for my wee companion to enjoy. Mina was very warm and interesting and I enjoyed the hour or so I stayed there. She also sells soup and gorgeous looking preserves she has created from foraged foods (she is also a foraging expert), that you can buy from the bakery. I went away with some delicious ‘Yorkshire Antipasti’ and a gluten free baguette. It’s been lovely to have some gluten free bread that actually tastes like bread!

It goes without saying that I heartily recommend Wildcraft Bakery! Get yourselves down there.

User

I picked up some donuts at the Leeds Food festival last weekend. What can I say about my first donut in 15 years? Nothing, as my mouth was too full of it’s cinnamony, sugary delight! Just gorgeous!!!

User

Hands down the best gluten free baked goods I have ever tasted. I was impressed with the samosas, but the bread genuinely almost made me cry a bit.

The flavour was fantastic, but the texture was unbelievable. I often struggle to swallow gluten free bread, and a lot of it just plain tastes bad untoasted. Their teff bread was amazing on both counts.

I can't wait to try more of the range, and hope they might consider a delivered regular box one day, I would love to "subscribe" to their bread as now I've little desire to eat anything else.

User

First of all, the lovely ladies were so welcoming and kind and we had a good chat (despite them being busy). Could not of been more helpful in choosing what I wanted which was hard because I wanted everything! The deconstructed cup cake was to die for! And such a good price! The croissant was gorgeous couldn't fault it! Will be going back for my weekend treats!

User

Couldn’t recommend more highly! Fabulous day today at Wildcraft Bakery’s Gluten Free Masterclass. Super full on day with so much packed in! Mina, Sam and Alice were amazing, lovely ladies sharing their knowledge and skills. We learned a lot about the science behind gluten free baking and we baked so much! Brought home cupcakes, mince pies, focaccia bread, gingerbread and bagels, as well as extra dough to bake at home and some sour dough starter. Refreshments were yummy! The day started with a delicious breakfast of gf pastries and a lovely selection of fresh fruit. For lunch we had fab homemade soup and with it we got to sample 3 different breads from the bakery: white, buckwheat and spinach & ricotta. All delish! This was followed by whoppie pies in 4 different flavours and lemon meringue pie doughnuts! All gluten free - amazing! So whether you want to learn how to make the best gluten-free baked goods, buy gluten-free bread or cake flour blends, or buy breads, biscuits and cakes that are infinitely superior to those available in any supermarket, Wildcraft Bakery in Leeds is the place for you. Thank you Mina, Sam and Alice for a lovely day

User

Been to the taster evening tonight with my 22 yr old son who is coeliac, everything was delicious. The quality of the goods both for taste and texture was amazing and if these were amongst other products you wouldn't know they were gluten free. Came away with a buckwheat sourdough loaf, a doughnut and a black forest whoopie pie. Told him he had to leave something for others. Can see this being a regular stop when we go to visit him in Manchester when he returns to uni.

User

Absolutely love this find. I'm gluten free and I can't say enough how beautiful all the treats are here.

The sour dough is lovely.

Chocolate brownies are to die for and the whoopy pies are all gorgeous I can never choose and have to let the staff choose for me. Lol. Keep up the good work..... Love from a gluten free buddy xxx

User

Absolutely amazing gluten free baking. I have no idea why I have waited so long to try it. It's over 10 years since I'd had a samosa and these were mouth watering, truly. And the donuts were so good I couldn't actually believe it was GF. I also bought the Focaccia (tasted fab) and the sourdough and the white bread (both sliced brilliantly and tasted lovely even without toasting, which is usually essential for GF). It's all fantastic and my freezer is now full of tasty bakery :-)
