4D ULTRASOUND FACT SHEET
4D technology uses sound waves that are out of the range of human hearing so your baby will not be aware of the scan taking place. For good clear imaging, we need a pool of amniotic fluid around baby’s face. To get the very best 4D images it’s important that your baby is in a face upward position However the images of your baby’s face will be affected by anything that blocks or reduces the sound waves or causes a shadow, the umbilical cord, baby’s hands and feet.
Babies position also plays a large part in the clarity of the images. If baby is cuddled in to the wall of the womb or placenta your imaging will be hazy. We can try to encourage movement by asking you to roll onto your side, sometimes taking a walk around is also needed. Our policy is to try our best for you on the day, unfortunately this means we may over run on our scan times. Please be patient every client is very important to us.
Our clinic offers pregnancy scans at all gestations from 6 - 40 weeks of pregnancy and all our sonographers are fully trained in clinical & diagnostic ultrasound. All our scans are started with a well-being check of baby and if they feel there could be a problem with baby we will explain as fully as we are able and speak to your midwife with your permission.

Window to the womb offer gender scan at 16 weeks, so I thought why not? We really wanted to know! I’m SO glad we booked this scan. From start to finish every single member of staff were wonderful. The sonographer and her assistant were lovely, took lots of time to have a good look at baby and were extremely personable! The room is gorgeous, big screens, soft music and lighting. We couldn’t be more happy with this experience. Thank you!
Went for an early gender scan at 18 weeks and staff was amazing. Very friendly and approachable. Made the experience 10 times better. Also i was allowed 4 people in the room with me including 2 children. I would definitely recommend it
We visited for a gender scan on 5th May and it was THE BEST EXPERIENCE! We were welcomed when we arrived and made to feel so comfortable, our little one Harry, was over the moon when we were told we're having another boy! One of the best things was the Bumpies app that you get all your pictures downloaded to, so we could show them off to anyone and everyone! Thank you so much!
Toke my niece for a 4D scan last nite. Wow the girls/staff were so friendly and helpful. Our slot ran over and we was the last booking of the day and they still toke time to answer all our questions. Which made them finish 20 mins late. Thanks guys you made the experience all the more exciting and enjoyable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough �����
The ladies are lovely � I was a little bit early for my appointment the other day and they fitted me in straight away they are so helpful! can’t wait to come again when I’m 28 weeks for my scan � and on the plus side I’m having a little girl ���
Me and my partner went to the Leeds branch and it was absolutely amazing, lovely calm environment when you walk in and lovely receptionists that talk you through the paperwork and the process of the scan and are happy to answer any questions you have. I upgraded to HD live and saw our baby in 4D to find out we are expecting a baby boy, the scan experience was brilliant and they talk to you the whole way through explaining what you are looking at and what baby is doing, with calming music, big screens and comfy chairs. I’m coming back again when I’m further on to see baby in 4D- would highly recommend💙
Me and my family visited window to the womb for the VIB Baby package which included the 4D scan, a selection of images and a video as well as a wellbeing report on baby. We couldn’t get any clear images on our first visit of our baby’s face as the cheeky monkey was playing peek-a-boo and his hands and feet were curled over his face restricting our view. We were very kindly offered a re-scan to get the most out of our money and we re attended the clinic a further 2 times. The staff were all lovely ladies and the understanding and flexible nature of the clinic and it’s staff made the experience of seeing our first baby on screen all the more special. Thank you!�
I went here for an early scan at 16 weeks to find out the gender of my baby � ( I’m having a PRINCESS) the girls were really polite and helpful, they had a laugh with me & my family while scanning the baby and explained everything to us in detail �

I came here on the 24th April for a well being and gender scan and found out I was having a boy! The staff were so reassuring and kind it was so much fun seeing my little boy up on the screen, and I even got to take away so many pictures I can treasure forever. Will definitely be back �

Had 4D scan package this morning and really happy with experience, staff were great, time with sonographer didn’t feel rushed and was they made sure we got some really good photos, would highly recommend to go �
Had two scans here now, an early reassurance scan and a gender scan. I have loved both times and can’t recommend enough! Back in four weeks for my 24 week 4d scan and I can’t wait!! �
Had our 4D scan at the weekend and it was amazing. The girls were really friendly and helpful. There was a slight technical issue with our video and pictures so we were scanned again and they couldn’t apologize enough and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. We were given a gift bag to apologise too which had a couple of bottles in and other items. Can’t recommend them enough.
Had an early pregnancy scan at 10 weeks that provided us with reassurance after a worrying start to my pregnancy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the shop is in a great location.
Had 2 scans here at the Farsley one and due another one in 2 weeks! The girls are so friendly and make you feel at home. I would highly recommend this place. They look at baby thoroughly and give you plenty of time to enjoy such an amazing experience! We’re looking forward to find out what we are having! ��xx
Cannot recommend window to the womb enough! Our baby did not want to show us what gender it was! But with the persistence of Maria we got to find out ��� all staff were so friendly. But we have to say a massive thanks to Maria for not giving up! Thank you so much xx
Came today for a 4D scan @ 30 weeks. Loved the HD live upgrade, well worth the extra £20 to see my little lady. Lovely friendly staff, patient despite being very busy! Thanks again �
Receptionist was lovely and afterwards was lovely but the sonographer seemed a little aggressive when asking me questions which put me off a little. i went with my daughter and mum for a gender scan and she wrote down the sex on the screen before even asking me what i thought or telling me what i was having which i felt spoiled the experience a little. just felt a little rushed and that moment to me was supposed to be a big deal. one of the reasons i didnt book my 4d scan with them. have rated 4 cause the place is lovely and didnt want it affecting other people who worked there.
