Woodhouse Community Centre Description

Woodhouse Community Centre has been at its present location on Woodhouse Street in Leeds since Victorian times. It was managed by Leeds City Council as a community centre for the past few decades. It’s still a community centre, but it was refurbished and reopened by Oblong in early 2012. We hope you’ll like the improved facilities and find it easy to use the space and participate here. All kinds of things go on at Woodhouse Community Centre: healthy cooking classes, family celebrations, community fun days, drumming classes, meditation, exercise classes, youth activities, Spanish lessons, counselling sessions, English courses, IT learning, video production, a food co-operative, a parent-toddler music group. . . and there are new things starting up all the time!

Special guests at tomorrows Table Top Sale Oblong
In Touch Massage and Holistic Therapies CIC will be present at this event offering taster sessions of some of the complementary therapies available at Woodhouse Community Centre, including Thai seated massage, and manual and remedial massage! They will be available to discuss the ethos of In Touch, which is a social enterprise that aims to make holistic therapies accessible to everyone, including low income, minority and socially excluded groups In Touch Massage & Holistic Therapies CIC
