I really like North Leeds Gym great staff and very friendly always eager to help.

I love this place. Has everything I need. Reception staff fantastic, PT instructor Dan is a great and is fabulous at his job. Cleaning staff (I only see the lady that's polish) working exceptionally hard to keep it so clean all. Thank you all for everything

Great gym, got Scott as my PT there and he’s gone above and beyond to get me motivated even tho I can’t stand working out! Only improvement would be to get some proper bangers on that music system! 🎧

First time I've ever joined a gym and I love it here, have been coming since it opened alost a ago, the standards are as high now as they were then.

There's all the equipment you could ever need, the PTs are really helpful ( they've been great a novice like me!) And there are loads of classes to choose from. Where else could you all that and a couple of hours away from the kids for just over £2.50 a week?! 😊

Been a member of kirkstall since it opened and moved to the north gym when it opened ace gym just the machines need fixing and water fountain doing gym is ace

Been a member about 6 weeks now and its great. Loads of equipment to use, large clean changing rooms. Wasn't going to do classes as I didn't want the pressure, but I have tried 2 or 3 different ones now and love it. PT(Joel) is great, encouraging without being too tough. And the yearly subscription price of 12.50 a month is a bargain, even if it is contracted. The rolling contract at £20 is also reasonable. Would recommend

good faculty range of machines and weights very clean.. most of staff friendly

down side quipment not repaired over 3 months even when complained

watch times in when busy many on Machines and weights not doing very much or on phones

Personally, I think it’s a great gym. A vast range of space and equipment and kept tidy consistently. My only issue is the maintenance side of things e.g. the lifting platforms being out of use for months, the slow water fountain, the transferable fingerprint system. Other than that, I’ve really enjoyed training here over the past few months

Having been with Xercise4Less for over 3 years I haven't had any issues. I joined with the kirkstall one initially then moved to the north Leeds when it opened as it's much closer to work and home. I haven't done any classes but that's personal preference, I am always able to use what I need whether it's the main gym or ladies only section. Would recommend to anyone that just wants gym service, only down side is they have no swim facilities in any sites.

Equiptment out of service for weeks no explanation. Not that I lift weights but I noticed plenty do. Hand dryer in gents not worked for over a month. Apart from that its ok if you want to watch everybody walking around on mobile phones even though it says no mobiles and this includes staff.

User

Great at first but now lot classes getting cancelled no staff disappointing but the manager lovely try’s her best to help not her fault but the companies see how it goes lot people leaving

User

Been a member since October 2017. Started off being great, with a wide range of different classes. Last couple of months has seen a high turnover of personal trainers leaving and spin classes being cancelled last minute.

Spoke to the general manager Vicky about it yesterday and she was just plain rude.

Very poor customer service.

Although tried Kirkstall one today and they seem a lot friendlier and more organised

they say you can leave anytime no probems but fail to tell you they are liers.. they will lock you into a contract. and if you have any future bank problems within the contract they will threaten you with baliffs and charge you £25 even when you cannot afford to pay it.If you want to cancel early they will demand the full years payment even after only 2 months have passed. Also their customer support is shit and will do all they can to NOT help you..

Today there were multiple shards of glass on the floor in the class, along with a hell of a lot of mud. A bit of glass went in my palm whilst doing press-ups. After telling reception, I'd have at least thought an apology would be in order but of course that is too much for them.

The class timetable is getting worse and worse with every revision. They cram more people into classes than is comfortable and then run out of equipment due to there being too many people. They lure people into signing up for year long contracts with the promise of all these free classes, most of which are either rubbish or during the day when most people can't attend. Then they bombard you with junk mail to try get you to pay extra for bootcamps which are massively overpacked.

Quite often I come across broken equipment both in the gym and in classes.

Overall, X4L is a terrible gym.

Right now it’s shocking here!! All 4 squat/lifting platforms are out of action due to requiring a service, not sure how you’d service one of those in the first place with no moving part and staff can’t tell you when they’ll be back, could be a month, it’s been a week already so I’ve had to train at another gym! Walked in today and the t-bar row has disappeared! Other machines not not been fixed for a long time!!

Never in all my 37 years of my own personal experiences, both working and training in Gyms both locally and abroad. Have I come across one that is run as badly as Exercise 4 Less, in Seacroft Leeds. Were the majority of the staff are made up of inexperienced kids, that seem to have no idea of how, when and what. I actually saw one of the so called PTs supposedly doing his thing with a paying client . Ensuring he gave her exercises that were long enough and that he didnt have to demonstrate, so he could chat to his buddies on FB, This I know because I was stood rite behind him. Absolutely disgusting. I was in there a couple of weeks ago when the fire alarm went off. Only one member of staff actually came to tell everyone to clear the building and that was the cleaner. As for the Gym its self. There is no policing of bad or dangerous activities. Leaving fellow members at the mercy of bad or non existent health and safety protocols, caused by the lack of staff on the floor and unsupervised, inexperienced members of staff and the general public. As for the equipment. It is either falling apart, just about seized ( I have to carry a can of WD40 around with me ) or disappears over night. An example would be the four power racks. When all four, I was told, had broken, all at once, in the same weekend. I would have respected the duty manager more if he hadnt of lied to my face, when I already new. That Virgin Medias call centre under neath, had complained of the constant banging below. I could go on and on. But before I go. I would also like to mention the so called air conditioning, that constantly blows out freezing cold air. I was told this was, yet again, in the hands of head office. Who also seem to have no idea of customer care, needs, welfare or satisfaction. As I said the only person there with any idea at all, is the cleaner.

Never even set foot through to the gym but had the most horrible experience with the receptionist. Speaking to me like I'm stupid and being snappy. Ended up cancelling there and then

User

Joined on a £12.99 30 day deal, decided to cancel it as wasn’t using due to work commitments, now being chased by their debt collectors saying I signed up to a 12 month contract, even though they don’t have a contract for me and nothing in their terms and conditions about 12 months minimum.

They debt collectors still insist I owe full years membership and starting to harass me now.

Look out if you decide to join!!!!!

User

Joined a few years ago and used to attend the Metafit class every week (it was always full) then they stopped the class. Joined again and started going to the insanity class(it was also always full) and they have stopped that. It seems these classes you have to now pay for are taking all the space? we joined this gym due to the large amount of free classes we could use, not pay for.
