Initial appointment 50% fee reduction.

Fee £40 per hour

Reduced rates for students and counselling trainees £30 per hour
Reduced rates for unemployed and benefits individually negotiated


A German national having come to England in 1985 in my early 20’s as an ‘Army wife’ I fluently speak English and German and work in both languages.

I believe in the importance of a trusting relationship between therapist and client. Trust results from a genuineness, empathy and acceptance shown by the therapist. It is from this therapeutic relationship that the client will gain the confidence to explore their difficulties whether past or present. I am curious about the influences of language, culture and contexts and I am passionate about encouraging engagement in the therapeutic relationship. Providing a safe and confidential setting for you to talk about the difficulties you may be experiencing; I offer both short and long term counselling for individuals and couples.

Working with the coaching model I support individuals in unlocking a their potential to maximize their own performance by helping them to learn rather than to teach. The following definition best describes my style of coaching; as "a collaborative, solution focused, result-orientated and systematic process in which the coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, life experience, self-directed learning and personal growth of the coachee” (Grant 1999, basic definition also referred to by the Association for Coaching, 2005).

Having had the opportunities to experience working with individuals, couples and families from many different backgrounds including clients where English is not the first language if necessary clients can be seen with a dialogue translator.

Over the last 15 years, I have been able to build up extensive experience of working in the public sector, NHS, not-for-profit and voluntary sector, supporting people with a variety of vulnerabilities including mental health, addictions, trauma, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, abuse, and adjustment issues.
