amazing! very informative and interesting, got to hold all the guns and bullets, etc etc. they have TONS of things from the wars and are amazing to look at!

would HIGHLY recommend keith the tour guide! answered all our questions and my granddad loved talking to him and sharing their own experiences!

User

Wow what an amazing day out. Didn't realise it was a guided tour until we got there but it makes it so much more worthwhile. They tell you truth from their own experiences which adds to the tour. They allow you to try the soldiers uniform (don't envy you at all) and handle the guns. My 9 year old daughter found it very interesting and is looking forward to coming to the back holiday fun day. You all do an amazing job Thank You.

User

User

We spent nearly three hours here. It was really interesting the youngest in our group was 13 and the eldest was in her 80s. Mick gave us a tour and was really knowledgeable. Very cheap and for an excellent cause xx

User

Took my grandson there for the 3rd time he is very interested in military warfare as his great great grandfather was killed in the 1st world war in Belgium but was never found.

Our tour guide was very good and explained everything in great detail allowing us to handle many items and wear clothing of the time. Many army vehicles and guns on display. Well worth a visit.

User

Spot on. 3rd time round and the place is still evolving with new things to look at. Thanks.

User

Really great trip with my son (10). I learned a lot and Sam loved getting to handle the kit on display and learning about all the VC personalities that we were told about. Thoroughly pleasing couple of hours.

User

On behalf of myself and our family I'd like to say 'A BIG THANKYOU' to Helen and all the Ashworth Barracks team for a truly wonderful day. You put on the best 'birthday party ever' as described by our son and his friends. From initial enquiry right through to leaving today you were all so generous with your time and in-sight and made the day fabulous. The assault course, firing range and open hatch vehicles were definate hits, along with the delish and plentiful freshly made and baked buffet. We will rave on about it for years to come and would highly recommend. We'll be back to visit for third time soon. Thanks again and congratulations on being a brilliant venue with an inspiring and informed team of volunteers. Liza x

Great little hidden gem. Well worth a visit. Fantastic guide in Paul who was funny, friendly, informative and interesting. Will be recommending to friends for sure.

User

Cannot recommend enough, this is a wonderful place! What really made our visit special was our tour guide Paul, his knowledge was incredible, he was informative and funny! Some of the stories moved me to tears, my Son enjoyed trying on the gear and holding the weapons, it's education in a fun and relaxed atmosphere and the memorabilia and displays are impressive. I feel priveledged to have spent 2 hours today with a man who has fought for this country and is still dedicating his time sharing incredible real life stories.

User
