Wanted to book a party for my daughter. For some reason computer said no ..... was a previous member and this seemed to confuse the system for this booking. Staff were fantastic, very determined and with some effort managed to get everything sorted! Fantastic customer service!!! Thank you ever so much to all those concerned. Looking forward to the party x

Great coaches at kids football on a Saturday morning, really looked after my little boy who was very nervous at first but loved it by the end

Energise provides a community which is very welcoming and inclusive. The instuctors are fabulous, reception professional and welcoming with a great coffee bar. This is great value, I'm a big supporter!

Just wanted to say I like how I can now log on and see my daughters progress with her swimming lessons. I can show her what sheā€™s passed & what she needs to work on so that when we go swimming together we have a focus. A positive change for Energise.

I love this gym. Good equipment and quiet. No little teenagers being idiots like in some other gyms. It has two disadvantages though ... I think it should be open 24/7 like pure gym is. The other disadvantage is Ā£33 a month for a gym membership or Ā£6 odd for pay as you go is a bit steep. Especially for a single parent. Pure gym is only Ā£22 a month (i think). I would go to pure gym instead but without a car it's quite a trek from Acomb to Clifton moor.... But otherwise I'm quite happy going to this one.

I have been a member here for years and really disappointed with the recent changes- I am unable to access my account online to book classes etc despite several attempts to rectify this. The website is terrible and the links I have used have not worked and I have had no response.

The pool is absolutely freezing as are the showers! My little girl was in tears after her swimming lesson because the shower was so cold! The toilets are absolutely disgusting! Half of the lockers donā€™t work, you end up loading & unloading stuff in and out of them wandering around in swimwear! The staff on reception and fitness instructors are lovely and get a touch job at times as problems out of there control are highlighted to them.

I have completed feedback forms and donā€™t get a response, becoming increasingly disappointed with the set up.

I think the gym facilities are fantastic and the equipment is excellent however when it comes to the swimming pool facilities I don't think they are as good. The pool itself is fantastic and I know it is cleaned on a regular basis but when it comes to the changing facilities I think they are abit of a let down in the hygiene department! The floor and the two individual showers are often dirty and unpleasant to use. Come on energise up your game!

Great new facilities and Great staff. However the men's gym showers are disgusting. Tiles missing off the roof, needs re-grouting, smells and no shelf to put shower fell! Please sort this as a priority!

Twice this year reception staff have told me the pool is too full for more swimmers and when I check there are only a handful of people in the main pool.

If you are told the pool is too full, check it out, the reception staff can't see the pool and only relaying information which may be out of date.

The pool needs a better real-time relay of info from the pool to the reception staff.

It is very frustrating to be denied a chance of a swim on the basis of wrong information.

Still can't log onto my online account, very rarely manage to get through on the phone lines, the dance studio floor is filthier than ever, my direct debit details weren't sent across properly so I was accused last month of not paying the fee or being able to pay (despite being a member for over two years). When I asked for a feedback form last week, they were conveniently out of stock...



However, most of the reception staff and all of the trainers are absolutely lovely!!

Lane swim in the big pool at 12pm on a Thursday in the school holidays, catering for about 3 people.



Massive queues for the new membership system, long (and unknown) wait for the small pool, 6-year-old in tears coz he canā€™t go swimming.



Iā€™ll give it 6 months till theyā€™ve run it into the ground and have the bright idea of selling the land off for flats.

We visited here today the 1st time in a long while and we will not be returning!! Firstly, the lockers are an absolute pain and do not work properly, so faffing around trying to find one that does. Secondly, the big pool is so cold for us adults and having to take young children in it was not nice as the children's pool was full. I think you should notify your customers before they pay if this is the case. Thirdly, to of paid Ā£15.15 for 2 adults and a child is disgraceful to of only had a maximum of 35 minutes in the pool, this led to some very upset kid's and not just ours and their parent's. Even for an hour is appalling but to not even get that is just wrong. I will stick to Yorks Sports Village.

Was hoping to take my child (2 yrs old) swimming this morning. However there is NO small pool session available all morning (not just the case on a Thursday morning -Iā€™ve checked the timetable). Due to nap time the afternoon session is no use. Learning to swim and be comfortable in the water should be a right, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford/are happy to pay an extortionate amount for swimming lessons. In 5 years time you will be wondering why the public no longer uses this pool.

Very disappointed with this place! Staff was very rude and unhelpful! Nobody take a step to help you out. Swimming pool and timetable is a joke. Before we joined we been informed something else, after we joined we find out it is very different to what we were told! I wonā€™t come back there!!

The Facebook page says you typically answer with an hour but I have messaged on 3 separate occasions and never had an answer for days each time staff are not very knowledgeable in what they offer

So disappointed to see what GL has done to Energise. There is nothing 'Better'. New phone system doesn't work. New website doesn't work. And the pool was cold! We're not fooled by new T-shirts and a lick of paint and can't believe CYC have let themselves be duped! Despite being told last week that prices weren't going up, have heard tonight they are. Get out GL. You are 'Rubbish'.

It took half an hour to buy one ticket for one swim. Staff were rude. There were 3 members of staff on the desk, including the manager, all of which could not look up to serve me, to say could you wait one moment until we finish what we are doing.



On a more important note, the first life guard on duty would have done her job a bit better if she had her eyes open!

Thirdly, to of paid Ā£15.15 for 2 adults and a child is disgraceful to of only had a maximum of 35 minutes in the pool, this led to some very upset kid's and not just ours and their parent's. Even for an hour is appalling but to not even get that is just wrong. I will stick to Yorks Sports Village.

Was hoping to take my child (2 yrs old) swimming this morning. However there is NO small pool session available all morning (not just the case on a Thursday morning -Iā€™ve checked the timetable). Due to nap time the afternoon session is no use. Learning to swim and be comfortable in the water should be a right, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford/are happy to pay an extortionate amount for swimming lessons. In 5 years time you will be wondering why the public no longer uses this pool.

Very disappointed with this place! Staff was very rude and unhelpful! Nobody take a step to help you out. Swimming pool and timetable is a joke. Before we joined we been informed something else, after we joined we find out it is very different to what we were told! I wonā€™t come back there!!

The Facebook page says you typically answer with an hour but I have messaged on 3 separate occasions and never had an answer for days each time staff are not very knowledgeable in what they offer

So disappointed to see what GL has done to Energise. There is nothing 'Better'. New phone system doesn't work. New website doesn't work. And the pool was cold! We're not fooled by new T-shirts and a lick of paint and can't believe CYC have let themselves be duped! Despite being told last week that prices weren't going up, have heard tonight they are. Get out GL. You are 'Rubbish'.

It took half an hour to buy one ticket for one swim. Staff were rude. There were 3 members of staff on the desk, including the manager, all of which could not look up to serve me, to say could you wait one moment until we finish what we are doing.



On a more important note, the first life guard on duty would have done her job a bit better if she had her eyes open!
