Blackhills Scout Campsite is run by the two Scout Districts of Bradford (North & South). Visitors to the site will enjoy the countryside location set in some 40 acres of unspoilt rural woodland.

Bonfire is lit at Blackhills gates are still open! Come along.
Free parking ( as directed ) on the top fields. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Please bring a torch some areas of the woodland and track are dark.
Young people under 6 years - free entry over 6 years + adults £2.00 payable at the gate.
... All under 18 years must be accompanied with an adult ( no exceptions ). Please obey the staff stewards at all times.
WE DON'T HAVE A CARD READER, PLEASE BRING YOUR CASH IN PLENTY OF CHANGE.

WORK WEEKEND -- OCTOBER 20th & 21st
We are planning a work week for this coming weekend, staying overnight is available.
The primary purpose is to to move the tuck shop from it's current location, back to the old building in the turning circle, set up, and create a rail to control customers in an ordaly manor.
... The stock room will also be emptied and moved to the secure store adjacent to the tuck shop,
In addition we have jobs to do to get ready for Winter, along with a good Autumn Clean to the buildings.
If you can give some of your valuable time, we start Saturday at 9.30 a.m. and hope to be finished by 12.00 on Sunday. Please provide your own lunch ( Saturday ) we usually go out for tea ( and a rest ). We will do breakfast buns for Sunday Breakfast.

BRILLIANT TWO DAYS OF WORK FROM BRITSH GAS’
Two teams of volunteers from British Gas, Leeds worked on site this week completing a number of vital maintenance jobs to improve our young people’s experience of Blackhills.
* They repaired our well used adventure play ground and repainted the bouldering wall.
... * They fixed a new anchor point for the crate stacking activity.
* Repainted the storage container.
* Completed the fence around our work compound.
* Cleared the brambles and replaced a fence around the Carlton.
* Treated the cladding around the Cub Shelter.
* Treated the woodwork on the Carlton Building.
* ENJOYED THEMSELVES
Thank you for the 18 volunteers, some of whom we were pleased to welcome back again. We look forward to the next visits in August; we’ve still lots to do.

My favourite Scout campsite, a peaceful relaxing place to spend a weekend or longer if you have the time. This is not a public campsite
Loved camping here as a cub & Scout. Fabulous place. Highly recommend it.
Love blackhills never had a bad time there and had so many good times.
Just visited for my sixth time, this time with my kids (both scouts) and slept in our Hammocks. We had the whole backwoods 'zone' to ourselves. Thank you to Hayley the warden and Jacqueline for the easy booking. We will return!!!!
Just spent the weekend in the Grimley. Kids loved it. Big thank you to the site team and especially the wardens who couldn't have been more helpful.
I went with school and it was amazing we had the best time ever we even had a bbq thanks Mike and the team
