As a Lead Associate Centre with the Royal Shakespeare Company our students get some amazing opportunities to gain real life experience in the Performing Arts industry. Last week, Bradley, one of our Level 3 students, spent a week in Stratford upon Avon as part of the RSC Next Generation: Backstage project. Along with 39 other young people from across the country he spent 4 days working on a staging of Act 1, Scene 2 of Twelfth Night. The students worked with nine different de...partments to create every aspect of the performance. On Friday 26th of January everything came together for two public performances. The piece was directed by Robin Belfield- the Young People's Performance Developer, and was performed by Eloise Secker and Esh Alladi - both members of the current RSC company. Bradley was part of the lighting team and helped to rig the lights, plot the cues and programme the lighting desk. "It was the greatest experience...I hope I get to do it again next year" he said.

On our courses you learn from tutors who are still working in the performing arts industry. Look out for our HND Performing Arts course leader, Tom Aldersley, in the new BBC Drama, In The Dark.
