We are regulars here as the food is great value for money and the staff are always accommodating and friendly. Working in Retail myself you can see the staff running around, multi-tasking and clearly needing more help but they keep smiling and always make us feel welcome. A credit to your staff but you could do with more people helping at the bar. From a customer point of view it's hard to know where to go for drinks and where to order food, it seems to be a free-for-all and not very organised. I don't feel this is the restaurants fault, this to me is down to the layout.

The staff here were absolutely fantastic! I was worried about trying to get breakfast while controlling a 1 year old alone but the staff made it a breeze, seating me so I could constantly see him while getting food and offering to bring me anything I needed.

Evening meal for my husband, son and myself was a little expensive but expect as with any 'motorway restaurant', but the service really did make up for this.

Highly recommend if you are staying in this area.

Had my daughter's 18th surprise meal here today. The staff were extremely helpful, the food was delicious and everyone had a fantastic afternoon. I would highly recommend.

Arrived on a busy Sunday with half hour wait but when we explained to the waitress we weren’t going to be too long she offered us a table that was reserved if we were happy to vacate it in time for the booking. I chose the roast chicken and rib combo with the jack daniels glaze and it was gorgeous, the nicest meal I have had from there. We have been several times before this and have always been happy with the service and will definitely be returning my in the near future

The gents toilets near the main entrance were disgusting. Very dirty and the smell was unbelievable. I worry for the future of this once fine pub/ eatery after looking at recent reviews and the fact that the local competition of pub food type places are far superior.

Four of us ordered the curry. Buffet style. We went to get our food when the rest of the meals arrived. It was a bit of a disappoint to find only a few samosas left. Three dried up onion Bhajis and one lonely poppadom. No sauces to go with the starters. One of the young waitresses said some more food would be along in a moment. It never arrived.

Went back for main course, most of the dishes were just a few slops left. We asked the chef what was on offer, as there are no labels on anything. He was beyond rude. The duty manager is lovely and apologised over and over. She came to tell us when more food had been served up. Sadly most of it was barely warm. The Naan breads were dried out and hard. I then had a stand up argument with the Chef. Totally bizarre. Once again the duty manager was left to apologise. She even deducted the price of the four meals.

Overall staff attitude, from one of the Chefs is chronic.

We booked well in advance stating where we wanted to sit because of the children in our party. However, they'd booked us in their system for the wrong day, and when that was sorted and we arrived on correct day they hadn't put us where we had requested, but put us near the entrance which was freezing cold every time the door opened. Some meals on the menu were unavailable and substitutes were substandard. Whilst eating her ice cream sundae my daughter found a piece of plastic in it. She actually had put it in her mouth, luckily no harm was caused, but was very upsetting. Needless to say I doubt we will be visiting again!!!

This place is getting worse what food were out was cold. We were waiting for more food to be put out on the buffet constantly. The table areas were disgusting yet they seem to be plenty of staff about. We use to come often Not been for sometime will not be back again this is the second time now it's not been nice.

Pretty unimpressed with my ham and eggs - large but of indigestible gristle in the meat and two bits of shell! The service was fairly quick but that’s the only real positive from this trip. Also seems strange that the carvery can’t be found on the menu.

On the way out Nichole asked if we had enjoyed our meal?

She offered us a refund. Good show, well done, hoorah!

Used to love coming here with the hubby for a breakfast haven't had a problem and then came today and asked for the same as we always did hubby had a full English breakfast and I asked for 2 sausage and 2 bacon to make a sandwich as don't eat the rest ov a breakfast and she said she couldn't do it I had to pay 8.99 sorry love I'm not paying 8.99 for a sausage and bacon sandwich wont be coming back here again would rather go somewhere else and pay less ��

I did not discover this until I had used it and found that the flush wasn't working. I informed a member of staff who said he would have a look. There were a total of 5 disabled people including myself in our party, one in a wheelchair and myself on crutches. I again went to the toilet during the meal, the disabled toilet was out of order. I had t struggle in and out of a cubicle in the ladies toilets as there wasn't an accessible cubicle. Those toilets wouldn't flush either. Another member of the party went to the toilet a short time later, those toilets were out of order. Leaving the only working toilets bieng by the front door. I have very poor mobility and fibromyalgia, at least 3 times during the meal the same waitress stood on my foot (with her full weight). I had moved it further away each time, she did apologise after each occasion but how many times can a person walk into a room without watching where she I putting her feet after standing on a customer especially when their feet are under the table?

My father and I were going to the bar to order our food and stopped a member of staff to ask if the food could be ordered at the table given the que at the bar (and the fact that I am on crutches) the member of staff huffed and said they would go check. Luckily a different member of staff came to take the order. The quality of service and standard of food have dropped considerably at this establishment and I have to say it will be a good long while before any of us visit again. We were thoroughly disgusted with the standards we saw here tonight and on one of the busiest nights of the week! You should be ashamed.

Not a reflection on the staff as they were brilliant sent my steak back one as I as medium rare and It come back well done brought my second steak order ribeye and it look like they give me a lump of fat awful

It was shocking �dried up peas and microwave frozen mash gravy like water and the burgers had a fried fish taste won’t be goin there again !!

Then when the meal came the chips where inedible they were cold & hard the coleslaw was missing of the meal so had to ask for some. Then we asked for salad cream for our salad only to be told they did not have any & i do not like salad without salad cream. So all in all it was our first & last time there.

The waitress on the next table knocked over a bottle of vinegar which splashed my daughter's coat. No biggie. Could happen to anyone.

But my daughter's ice cream never arrived.

On the way out Nichole asked if we had enjoyed our meal?

She offered us a refund. Good show, well done, hoorah!

Used to love coming here with the hubby for a breakfast haven't had a problem and then came today and asked for the same as we always did hubby had a full English breakfast and I asked for 2 sausage and 2 bacon to make a sandwich as don't eat the rest ov a breakfast and she said she couldn't do it I had to pay 8.99 sorry love I'm not paying 8.99 for a sausage and bacon sandwich wont be coming back here again would rather go somewhere else and pay less ��

The food was poor, staff attitude wasn't much better. There is only one disabled toilet in this pub which was apparently out of order before my party arrived. I did not discover this until I had used it and found that the flush wasn't working. I informed a member of staff who said he would have a look. There were a total of 5 disabled people including myself in our party, one in a wheelchair and myself on crutches. I again went to the toilet during the meal, the disabled toilet was out of order. I had t struggle in and out of a cubicle in the ladies toilets as there wasn't an accessible cubicle. Those toilets wouldn't flush either. Another member of the party went to the toilet a short time later, those toilets were out of order. Leaving the only working toilets bieng by the front door. I have very poor mobility and fibromyalgia, at least 3 times during the meal the same waitress stood on my foot (with her full weight). I had moved it further away each time, she did apologise after each occasion but how many times can a person walk into a room without watching where she I putting her feet after standing on a customer especially when their feet are under the table?

My father and I were going to the bar to order our food and stopped a member of staff to ask if the food could be ordered at the table given the que at the bar (and the fact that I am on crutches) the member of staff huffed and said they would go check. Luckily a different member of staff came to take the order. The quality of service and standard of food have dropped considerably at this establishment and I have to say it will be a good long while before any of us visit again. We were thoroughly disgusted with the standards we saw here tonight and on one of the busiest nights of the week! You should be ashamed.

Not a reflection on the staff as they were brilliant sent my steak back one as I as medium rare and It come back well done brought my second steak order ribeye and it look like they give me a lump of fat awful

It was shocking �dried up peas and microwave frozen mash gravy like water and the burgers had a fried fish taste won’t be goin there again !!

Firstly the costa coffee machine was not working but they did not tell you that they charged you for 2 costas then when you went to the machine there was a sign on it saying not working & sashets of coffee & teabags next to the machine. Then when the meal came the chips where inedible they were cold & hard the coleslaw was missing of the meal so had to ask for some. Then we asked for salad cream for our salad only to be told they did not have any & i do not like salad without salad cream. So all in all it was our first & last time there.

We are regulars here as the food is great value for money and the staff are always accommodating and friendly. Working in Retail myself you can see the staff running around, multi-tasking and clearly needing more help but they keep smiling and always make us feel welcome. A credit to your staff but you could do with more people helping at the bar. From a customer point of view it's hard to know where to go for drinks and where to order food, it seems to be a free-for-all and not very organised. I don't feel this is the restaurants fault, this to me is down to the layout.

The staff here were absolutely fantastic! I was worried about trying to get breakfast while controlling a 1 year old alone but the staff made it a breeze, seating me so I could constantly see him while getting food and offering to bring me anything I needed.

Evening meal for my husband, son and myself was a little expensive but expect as with any 'motorway restaurant', but the service really did make up for this.

Highly recommend if you are staying in this area.

Had my daughter's 18th surprise meal here today. The staff were extremely helpful, the food was delicious and everyone had a fantastic afternoon. I would highly recommend.

Four of us ordered the curry. Buffet style. We went to get our food when the rest of the meals arrived. It was a bit of a disappoint to find only a few samosas left. Three dried up onion Bhajis and one lonely poppadom. No sauces to go with the starters. One of the young waitresses said some more food would be along in a moment. It never arrived.

Went back for main course, most of the dishes were just a few slops left. We asked the chef what was on offer, as there are no labels on anything. He was beyond rude. The duty manager is lovely and apologised over and over. She came to tell us when more food had been served up. Sadly most of it was barely warm. The Naan breads were dried out and hard. I then had a stand up argument with the Chef. Totally bizarre. Once again the duty manager was left to apologise. She even deducted the price of the four meals.

Overall staff attitude, from one of the Chefs is chronic.
