What a gem of a find this place is!!!!

We stumbled upon it by pure chance and we're so glad we did. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff were warm, welcoming and only too happy to go above and beyond!

I even got a candle and a rendition of happy birthday with my slice of cake (which was yummy by the way!!!!).

This is a fab place. Found it when we were looking for a kid friendly cafe to have lunch with a 2 year old. Now she's 6 and still loves coming here. Always make a b-line to this place for lunch and cake. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Sat having tea and cake with my partner and baby boy plenty of high chairs loads of toys to keep my boy happy lovely friendly staff great food all round friendly place.

Popped in today after seeing recommendations online and my little girl needed feeding and i will definitely be back. Couldnt have been more friendly and accomodating. Even put the sugar in my coffee as i was feeding my daughter and brought her a toy over. Will definitely be back and will be eating next time food looked lovely from what i saw.

My little Girl loves the little treasure of a place. The staff are brilliant with little people. Always welcoming and friendly. The food and drinks are very nice. Always a enjoyable time when we go. Thank you

My daughter and I popped in here today while on a day trip to York. She ordered a hot chocolate, which turned out to be much larger than expected, and I had a very nice pot of tea. The cafe itself is lovely, nice decor and a relaxed atmosphere, obviously popular with locals, which is always a good sign! I'd definitely recommend this place.

Love how friendly this cafe is. Thank you for being 'breastfeeding friendly' and waiting for my daughter to finish feeding (even though it was past closing time!) We really appreciated you understanding and allowing her the time she needed. Food was also delicious!! Tried to pop back a few times but you've been super busy... just goes to show how popular and fantastic you are. Thank you. We will be back! Xx

Iove this place, called in with my aunty the staff are lovely and the food is tasty and fresh . And i love the little biscuit's you get with the hot drink's. Look forward to my next visit

I brought my daughter (3) here for lunch today (our first 'girly day' just us, following the birth of my son in December) the service, atmosphere, food (esp. the cake!) - the whole experience was amazing! We were provided with colouring in whilst we waited for our food (which didn't take long to arrive!) & felt really looked after. There is also a box of children's toys & she even got sprinkles on her ice cream. Wonderful - thank you. We will def be back! :) xx

I absolutely adore Bruks. I was first introduced by a friend at Slimming World due to the soup and jacket potato options available but have often eaten other things from the menu.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The whole look and vibe of the place is lovely (I particularly adore the cute salt and pepper shakers!) and the food is fantastic - if you can be tempted into a cake, you won’t be disappointed.

I take all my friends and family when they visit York and they love it just as much. Keep up the good work guys!

Had a wonderful experience here today when visiting with my 2 year old. Really helpful staff, plenty to keep my little one occupied, lovely food and to top it all of, candles on my daughter's cake as I'd mentioned it was her birthday! Thank you! Xx

Favourite coffee / tea shop in York. Friendly and welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble.

The food is well presented and a good selection. Home made cakes to finish, so delicious.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Great milkshake, awesome food and my daughter loves playing with the toys.

I had a fit in there at 33 weeks pregnant with my 19month old daughter with me and they could not have been more helpful and supportive.

Will definitely be back x

Came for lunch today 3 adults and a 5 year old the service was excellent food was amazing so great With the children my son calls it the connect 4 cafe definitely our favourite cafe in York �

Called in while visiting the Xmas market so the cafe was very busy, yet the staff were very welcoming and efficient. Didn’t wait long for our drinks or food, the full English breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Cooked to perfection with quality ingredients, look forward to dining here again.

Called in here for the first time visiting York on Wednesday absolutely loved it were made to feel welcome by the two ladies when we sat down they took our drink order and then came back to get our food order nothing was too much trouble food was wonderful will definitely be back next time

Amazing food, excellent service and very refreshing to go to a cafe that are so clued up on allergies and have so much choice on offer! Will be back for sure!
