This was our first year at Camper Jam. Great family festival, lots to see, great food and weather was amazing all weekend. Me, my husband and our 2 kids had a fantastic time here. As we have 5 year old and 3 year old and kids their age get board very easy we would have welcomed more free entertainment and play activities for kids. Other than that the whole weekend was fantastic. Thank u to the Camper Jam team to make this weekend to remember. We will be definitely back.

User

Our first Camper Jam and we loved it. As we expected it to be mega busy and pricey food etc, we catered for that, therefore didn't diminish our enjoyment. Loved the music in the big top for 80s night and was pleasantly surprised with Musical Youth...fab! Loved all the Vdubs everywhere...we will return again with no hesitation.

User

Our 3rd camper jam, loved it again! Food we had was delicious! One thing I would like to mention is the toilets where clean which is great but there was a lack of them in the middle, last year there where some both sides of where everything’s happening but a block missing this year so seemed a bit far apart. Had an amazing time, will be back next year, great time had by the 18 of us! Alan is a lengend! I hope to meet him one day! 😂🥂

User

Just home from our very first ever CJ - brilliant family weekend we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I have to point out only because I was so impressed, the portaloos were spotless that’s a massive thing for me so full marks for that. Who ever was doing the pizzas by the waltzers, my son is your biggest fan. New love for rhubarb custard cider has been found and I can’t wait for 2019

User

Just got back from our fifth camperjam. What an amazing atmosphere. The show continues to get better each year toilets and showers were brilliant and the fact that 000's of people were wanting to watch the England game very well managed. As with all large events there will be the odd one or two.people that spoil it for the rest but the family vibe was very strong this year and very enjoyable. Good work and will see in 2019 for sure.

User

Just got back from a great weekend at CamperJam. It was hot, busy, noisy, a bit pricey at times, but that’s exactly what we expected! Fantastic staff, traders, entertainment and let’s not forget the amazingly clean loos (cleaned constantly by the staff) ...including free toilet rolls stacked up outside with a sign saying help yourself, don’t pinch from inside the cubicle! We’ll be back!

User

It was our first time and it was brilliant. We're definitely going again next yr. Stuff for kids in the day in the tents. Food was good, a little pricey so money is def needed but lots of choices for all. The only thing really is (I could of missed it) but a water tanker could of been put around near the food to fill up the juice bottles, especially in the heat as it was a killer but that's the only thing I can suggest.

Staff were great and I needed help with my daughter in the football crowd as she was overwhelmed when we went to get a snow cone and I was struggling to get the wheelchair through the back. We had great help off people and staff to get us out straight away. The organisation was brilliant and staff were always happy to help.

Great and def recommend to anyone with children or without xx

User

Fab weekend once again, I do agree with some comments about the food being overpriced, but this is to expected as they have to pay a high price for being at the show. The cleanliness off the showers and especially the toilets were brilliant, well done to all the staff, also how quickly the large bins for emptyed. Security seemed a bit scarce though!! And didn't seem to be as many stalls as last year. Thoroughly enjoyable weekend though and yes maybe an open air stage might be a thing to look at for future CJ. Football seemed to take over a lot too!! But hey ho can't please everyone. We'll be back again

User

Excellent weekend . Some valid points already said about the quality and price of some of the food available but not all of it was like that. Normally take our own but due to weather being so hot we decided against it. Toilets , although smell wasnt pleasant mostly due to being so hot, were well cleaned at all times and always loo roll available. We got there at about 1.30pm and Were very surprised at the amount of people already set up when we arrived seeing as it wasnt supposed to open til 2pm. Good atmosphere and friendly people as always. Loved it.

User

This was our third year in family camping to Camper Jam. Have to admit it was the busiest I have ever seen it and we did have a great weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised by the showers in the family camping area as this was a very welcome addition and also thought the toilets were very good and always had loo roll and hand gel. I thought with the weather they could have more sunshades to sit under as there were only three. I also thought the tents could have been opened up a bit more as they were boiling. We did stay clear of the football because it was so busy around that area and did notice quite a few more drunken people this year than previous years.

After going to Camper Calling last year (I know not really a VW festival), we found this 100% better for the children. There was a free playground, loads of activities during the day and a circus tent. You needed something like that at Camper Jam - the painting activity and superhero mask was not really enough to keep the children entertained for more than an hour - it would have been good to have some more performers and perhaps something a little more lively in the brothers tent as the glo zone disco (in the daylight) really was a bit boring for some of the children. Also although you had a lot of fairground rides (which were expensive) we had already spent quite a lot of money on the tickets and was hoping more children's activities were included for free (like at Camper Calling) but unfortunately this was not the case.

Absolutely loved the Brit Pop Boys and the Disco Shed was great!

User

Thank you Camper Jam for a FAB weekend, im sure we will be back next year :) only two tiny gripes..... the idiot who took 'home is where you park it' to another level by completely blocking an entrance/exit route, could of been huge disaster if there was a field fire, and the big screen location, so many people wanted to see the match but even getting there 2hrs before kick off we didnt stand a chance of seeing anything.

User

My second time at CamperJam. 1st year was the very 1st and 2018 as a family and wow has it grown! I think all in all it was a great weekend. We have a 5 and a 3 year old and a dog and I think my only criticism would be the volume of the music in the family field, it kept a few awake. We found you could hear it louder at our bus than you could when walking around the stalls. Having said that it meant we could sit at the bus and listen to the music so not really that bad

It was very busy when we arrived around 7pm on the Friday and we had to cruise around for a while to find a decent spot but we found a good one and as per our other festivals we had lovely neighbours.

I thought the toilets were kept clean (having been to DubFest at Alnwick 3 weeks earlier they were positively immaculate!) and I really liked the tankers of drinking water, there could have been one down near the food though.

Only found the showers on the Sunday morning but was told there was “lovely warm water”.

The kids enjoyed the activities, I think you make your own fun if you want to. The food was expensive but we try and take as much of our own as we can so we weren’t really affected by the prices.

Nobody could have predicted the heat and I feel there was lots of shade provided if you wanted it.

We will be going back next year for sure !

User

Great all round after my 2nd time attending and although the football area was a great atmosphere it was bit of a let down to and wasn't really well thought out especially in the scorching weather... it was way to overcrowded as the barriers where moved back by staff which then caused the passage way at the back near the stalls to be inaccessible for people to move threw, it also wasn't properly staffed security wise as there was people just pitching up anywhere and everywhere with no consideration for others and one of the little ones we had with us had a beer can thrown at his head from some very stupid inconsiderate moron at the back (so I hope who ever it was is very pleased with themselves that they hurt a small child). But all in all we had a great time other than that

User

Got a day pass for Saturday as camping was sold out , going to try it again next year . Far to hot had to keep hiding in the shade under the trees , advise more refreshment areas and chill out tents struggled to find something to drink around the sellers pitches apart from the cocktail van . Did meet up with friends who were complaining about the noise late at night and advised family camping next time we go .

User

We went to Camper Jam last year and loved it, I can agree with a lot of the other reviews stating it was too overcrowded this year, I think Camper Jam are getting too greedy packing too many people in and for £240 for the weekend, feel people should have a little more space. Also my main concern was that a young boy had his hand trapped in the rail of the yankee flyer and parents had to scream at the woman on the controls to stop the ride. The poor boy was screaming in pain, she just released him and carried on with the ride! My Son looked at him as he has first aid experience and urged his parents to take him straight to hospital but unfortunately beer won their decision. My 2 grandsons were removed straight off the ride and as far as I know nothing else was done, had this ride been allowed to carry on god knows how much worse it could have been. It has put me off and don't think we'll go again

User

Was excited about this weekend. Had a great time with our friends. Was much busier than we could of imagined. Most vw festivals have an outdoor stage and this sadly was lacking at cJ.

Toilets were clean at all times well done, but time to think how much you charge the food traders to be there as their prices were way over the top and some food quality was truly awful, like they didn't care what they put out.

Getting a lager was a challenge as most seemed to be cider bars for some reason?

Football afternoon was amazing atmosphere.

We enjoyed but event way too big for us and what with food prices/quality and no outdoor stage we won't be back as it's not the best event on the calendar

User

Our 1st time at CJ, found it OK but no more than that. Disappointing for a few reasons - no security to keep the camping fields quiet after 'curfew' hours, there were some really annoying inconsiderate scousers in the club camping field who thought it was ok to shout & scream until 2.30-3.00am on both Fri & Sat nights, pee-ing off a lot of people. When security were phoned on Sat night about it, they said they'd radio it in, but I don't think anything was done about it. They should've been told to shut up or leave on Fri night, but no they did the same again on Sat. Supposed to be a family friendly show, this would put us off coming again, as it kept our 2 yr old up crying all night, so none of us got any sleep. If we came again we'd try the family field, hopefully that'd be quieter?

I think there should've been water points in every field, as there wasn't one in club camping, especially with the heat we had this weekend.

The toilets were kept pretty clean, although they did get a bit 'Glastonbury like' towards the end of the weekend, where you didn't want to look down, and the hand gels kept running out.

There didn't seem much to entertain little ones - one face painter who was queued out, and not much else, our little one was pretty bored around the main festival areas, so we ended up sitting by our van most of the weekend - again not the 'family friendly' festival we were hoping for, we can go to a regular campsite and get more to entertain him.

The trading stalls were ok and we bought a few accessories for the van. The food seemed ok but fairly pricy, you expect that at a festival though as it's a captive market, better to bring your own food.

For the price you pay, we didn't get a lot out of the fest itself, what made it fun for us was the company we went with, but we could do that without going to a festival.

User

Bit of a mixed review this year. This will be our 5th or 6th visit to Camper Jam & as someone who isn't keen on camping all that much, one of the only places I look forward to going each year. One of the reasons for this is the family oriented atmosphere that makes CJ really popular. However, this year it didnt feel the same. It was by far the busiest it's ever been which led to it being a bit too peoply ha! That coupled with the big focus on the football, for us on the family field, led to the roudiness associated with lots of sun & beer. I know in previous years there has been security patrolling at night, but this year there didn't seem to be - although, in fairness the issues we faced were in part due to where we parked. On the positive note though, we really enjoyed the bands! Fully Funktional were fantastic! The toilet facilities this year were a vast improvement on last year & the food was great!

Thinking we may break tradition and try a new festival next year? Maybe give Camper Calling a try xx xx

Fab weekend once again, I do agree with some comments about the food being overpriced, but this is to expected as they have to pay a high price for being at the show. The cleanliness off the showers and especially the toilets were brilliant, well done to all the staff, also how quickly the large bins for emptyed. Security seemed a bit scarce though!! And didn't seem to be as many stalls as last year. Thoroughly enjoyable weekend though and yes maybe an open air stage might be a thing to look at for future CJ. Football seemed to take over a lot too!! But hey ho can't please everyone. We'll be back again

Loved it.

Been coming to The Camperjam since it began but I'm sorry to say I think you've lost the 'essence' of what it originally started out as....We arrived at around 5.30pm on the Friday and struggled to find anywhere to camp in our vdub, never known it so busy, but we managed to find somewhere between all the non vdubs......somethings gone and I can't quite put my finger on it...
