About Cleethorpes Boating Lake Cafe -Taphouse

Cleethorpes TapHouse & Kitchen has taken over but will continue to provide a warm welcome. During busy times there will be a wait for food.

Cleethorpes Boating Lake Cafe -Taphouse Description

Cleethorpes Discovery Centre offers a welcoming environment nestled in the beautiful scenery of the lakeside, a perfect place for families to enjoy all year round.

It’s free to enter the centre and enjoy our latest art exhibitions and displays by local talented artists or discover what’s happening out at sea from the ABP Humber Observatory.

Take in the stunning views of the lake whilst dining in our Lakeside Café, or unwind in our sandpit café designed with kids in mind both serving a delicious selection of homemade food and freshly made cakes, we guarantee something for everyone’s budget.

Step outside and admire the stunning lakeside, feed the resident ducks and take to the water on a pedalo or rowing boat. Visit our sandpit and build a sandcastle fit for a king and let the kids run wild on the shipwreck adventure playground, or make a splash at the nearby paddling pool.

Good morning folks today will be our last day of operating for the foreseeable this is a collective decision by all.
We are liaising with suppliers to arrange food trucks for the weeks ahead and aim to support our community in the weeks ahead as best we can.
... Our pizza takeaway will be assessed on a day by day basis.

Hi guys, We are open for takeaway service only, with limited menu, snacks, hot and cold drinks and duck food... the ducks still need feeding even at this sad time

Following the recent announcement from the government we are now closed with immediate effect for the foreseeable future. Any bookings which have paid deposits can contact us via email on cleethorpestaphouseandkitchen@yahoo. com
We will be offering a takeout service but please allows us tonight to absorb the impact of this news.

Wow guys our rep Lee Belton from Pilgrim Foodservice has put this together for us after we spoke this morning, it might not be everything but its a start and something we can build on together, if you have a vulnerable friend, if you don't want to risk the supermarket here is another option for you, if there's things you want but not on here pop along ans tell them and maybe next time they can add them on the van.
Lee is local chap and passionate about helping our in this time so big thanks to Pilgrim Foodservice for this generous offer so far.
prices will be available on the day and are extremely competitive to supermarkets, sorry its a bit cobbled together but over time it will improve.

UPDATE
We believe you should be able to make your own mind up about going out, we are still 100% free in this area, so for now we are staying open and business as normal with some changes. Our cleaning has not changed we use the best quality cleaning products supplied by Peter Hogarth & Sons Ltd who are doing their very best to get products out as quickly as possible. Current advice is to wash wash wash, if there are no washing facilities then use a sanitize spray.
We are cha...nging the way we serve you for the interim period.
1 A full Table service will be done from drinks to food. ie no ordering at the counter this is to protect you as all our staff are fit and healthy and do not fall in the at risk category.
2 We will offer contact less payment and cash, each time hands and machines will be cleaned.
3 Tables will be arranged so we allow for the social distancing
4 Staff will continue to carry out their normal every day cleaning routines we don't see any reason to change what we do already we are a 5* food hygiene rated premises..
Are we worried to be honest no we are not worried about the virus we are confident we have done all we can to make our premises as safe as possible without closing, would it have a greater impact if we closed. Without doubt the closure of our premises would in our opinion have a far greater impact on many fronts.
You may have heard that we will be offered an amount of money, yes this is true, but the guidelines are not clear, the timescale if we close now is simply too long to wait for the money.
Can you help us ?
If your unwell in the slightest don't take the risk stay at home. Please ask your finds or family to get a slice of cake for you or a coffee.
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water - if you cant get hold of soap and water use a sanitizer.
Do you have a vulnerable relative or at risk relative friend, buy them a takeaway we have plenty of options to choose from, please don't bring them here as much as we would welcome them its simply not worth the risk for them.
We believe with the current advice available and not being told to close we have carried out all we can do to make your experience as safe and as pleasant we can.
We hope to see all your lovely faces over the next few days and will update if we are forced to close by the central government.
Any bookings for events, tables ect will be refunded should any get cancelled.
