What a great experience the Santa's Grotto is. The elves are so friendly and jolly taking time to talk to the child regardless of age and as for the man himselfSanta was just terrific. A truly magical experience with my granddaughter on her first visit to Santa. Also the workshop was well thought out with activities for the children and the wait wasn't too bad at all. A big thank you to Santa and all his happy elves

Visited yesterday to buy an artificial Christmas tree, bought a lovely realistic one, a little bit pricey but have just put it up and it looks great and no mess like cheaper ones. Staff are friendly and helpful and you can always find someone to help if need be. The cafe is excellent too, 4th time I’ve been in as many weeks and the food is good quality and very reasonably priced. Food is cooked to order and the presentation of it is good. Spotlessly clean and cutlery is sparkling - a sure sign of good hygiene practice. Would highly recommend both the garden centre and the cafe 5*

Loved everything about it, granddaughter was amazed at the displays and loved Santa and the elves who spent time chatting with her. She followed Santa's Footprint's to the grotto where she coloured pictures with the elf while she waited. The elf asked her name and what she wanted for Xmas which was then told to Santa so he knew who she was,she now believes she has met the real Santa as he knew her name. Well worth the money and she can't wait to go back.

See you next year with a very excited little girl x

Just got back from a fabulous tea with Santa. The 3 Elves were brilliant and we just wanted to say huge thanku for making Liam n Charlotte so happy n festive they r both still buzzing. We all loved every single minute and will definitely be returning every yr. Well done to all involved xxx

User

I was not disappointed got everything we went for. The only thing that lets you down is price of the containers for putting outside so over priced

I came to Coletta & Tyson in need of advice on a rescued Monitor Lizard , the Staff member was so helpful , he gave me advice on what to do with the Lizard and also gave me the right stuff to get the lizard back on its way to health , they did not try to sell me anything they just wanted to help , I am now a repeat customer at this garden centre :)

Got my Brachypelma albopilosum from here yesterday John Paul is awesome he went above and beyond to help us and was really knowledgeable about all the animals, also picked up some hissers and sun beetles. Great guy, keep up the great work

User

Big shout out to John (JP reptile guy ) he really knows his stuff, helped me out with a massive surprise birthday present, not only did he teach me about the snakes he took the time to help me understand what the tank and snake needs also set it all up for me ... credit to your team! Easy to approach no question was to much really made would could of been a disaster, a stress free situation!

My partner is over the moon with his new pet Enchi Royal Python and his tank! Really can’t thank John enough!

Also a little shout of to Dean for helping me when John was with other customers and sharing his knowledge on the animals too

Cant thank these guys enough!

Beautiful Christmas display!

But more than that Big Thank You to the lovely people in the Cafe who checked and double checked that my sandwich was safe for me to eat as I needed a Gluten Free meal as I have coeliac disease. Super service and great knowledge of how important this I'd for some people! Mwah! X

User

We visited on Saturday 11th Nov . I bought my first ever real Christmas tree. The staff member dealing with the trees advised me how to look after it until I want to bring it I to the house and then how to take care of it inside. It's potted. The decoration area is amazing. The day we were there the Donkeys were there too. Gorgeous. Well with a visit

User

Whilst I am very grateful at dogs been allowed in, the water dishes were green & when I asked at the café for fresh water I was told they were not allowed to fill them & it was up to the pet dept. Bit silly really when there's a tap right next to the outside dog area. I'd finished my food & still non had arrived

User

It's a huge place with loads of garden items and plants to choose from. The lady on the toll was very kind, however I asked where an item was and she pointed to where it was but couldn't help any further. So I spent ages trying to find a member of staff (with a smile) who could help me. Prices are quite high for things you can buy way cheaper elsewhere such as trinkets and windmills for your garden. On a plus the plants are well looked after so will be back, even though these are quite expensive too.

User

Very disappointing! Took the children to see Santa today. Paid at 1.30pm and saw Santa at 3.15pm! Our youngest (5) has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and was sat in his wheelchair all that time in freezing conditions and actually should have had some medication at 3pm. The member of staff my husband spoke to, to try and explain our little one needed medication and wanted to know how long we would be was extremely rude and said ‘it’ll be as long as it’ll be!’ [helpful]. Then when we actually went into what we thought was Santa, it was another waiting area! No one told us there was a waiting time of well over an hour when we bought our tickets. The presents where also rubbish and for £7 each I expected a lot more! Disgusting!!

User

Very disappointed with the Christmas opening event. Staff were miserable and it was very dark even with the Xmas lights on. Expected some complimentary wine or a mince pie but nothing. Other Christmas opening events at other garden centres are much better. Only good thing was the lady on the till on the way out said goodbye to my one year old. She was pleasant.

User

how disappointing it was taking my children to see Santa.we went to pay and then saw a smallish queue thinking it wasn't too bad but we thought wrong we was stood with 3 youngest children for over an hour & a half by time we got to a grotto the elf invited us inside to be told sit at one of the 5 tables and sit and wait to see Santa we by this time my youngest who is 6 got really fed up,when we finally went in there we was rushed out,the elves we were miserable too.i expect to wait for a short while but not the time we did maybe you should start booking like every where else so people aren't queuing up so long never coming back at Christmas very dis organised

User

Terrible. Display was good but that was all. Paid to see santa was told there was a que but nothing was said about the 2 HOUR wait in the freezing cold with children. Only to be then told by an assistant that they aren't seeing anymore. So went to get our refund only to be told that wasn't true and we could wait but it could be another hour! And because I decided I still wanted a refund they got argumentative about it and tried pushing us to still go see santa. No thanks. And we won't be back.

User

Really disappointed with my experience this afternoon. I was informed that they stocked stage 2 Royal Canin cat food in packs of 12 so made a special trip there to get there before 6 pm when they close, as my cat is very poorly and needs this particular food. When I got there, the manager said that they don't stock it and all he could say to me was that he had a word with the person who gave me the false information ... as if I haven't got anything better to do ... this has really put me off ever going there for anything ever again

She was pleasant.

how disappointing it was taking my children to see Santa.we went to pay and then saw a smallish queue thinking it wasn't too bad but we thought wrong we was stood with 3 youngest children for over an hour & a half by time we got to a grotto the elf invited us inside to be told sit at one of the 5 tables and sit and wait to see Santa we by this time my youngest who is 6 got really fed up,when we finally went in there we was rushed out,the elves we were miserable too.i expect to wait for a short while but not the time we did maybe you should start booking like every where else so people aren't queuing up so long never coming back at Christmas very dis organised
