Love our volunteers :)
'Faberoo' Marshal Katie has finished decorating her support team jacket to help make your day extra special at the upcoming Run for Wildlife 5k... we've supplied her with a camel outfit, a loud speaker and a microphone to go with it :)
She'll be at the 1.5k mark...just before the camels, although you may hear her before you see her ;)
... (ps all our volunteers are awesome btw and our team and you athletes!...trying not to make anyone feel left out! and a slight internal competition may be appearing with the marshal jackets!)

We’re pretty sure we mentioned that you will be graced with cake at the finish line of The Doncaster Half Marathon, but did we mention there’ll be 4 aid stations on your run round and not only will there be water, but there’ll also be energy snacks ready and waiting for you? Always a bonus when you don’t have to carry them yourself! 😊
Oh and did we mention that all Event photos will be free....don’t forget to smile! 😬

There will be lots of different journeys, stories and tales of inspiration on the road to the start line of The Doncaster Half Marathon, here’s one of them..............over to you, Pastor Eric Simpson!! 😊
“The Rossington Methodist church building is a well loved building within Rossington and is part of its DNA. Unfortunately in February the last service was held and the door was locked, with a for sale sign soon appearing ☹️ Our Church, Rossington Community Baptist church, ...has been in existence for 16 years, moving from place to place as we have grown and with what we do in the community of Rossington. At the announcement of the closing, there was an outcry to keep the building intact and for village use, both as a church and for the hall (dancers, uniformed groups etc). We want to make a bid for the building to keep in IN Rossington and FOR Rossington.
Our church has 4 runners signed up for The Doncaster Half Marathon and we invite your support via the crowdfunding site listed below”
We’ve popped the link in the comments, Facebook doesn’t like links in text! 😉 And good luck with the training folks! 💪🏻

The Normanby Hall 10k 2019(or the Norman Bee) on June 30th is hosted from the amazing grounds of Normanby Hall Country Park in North Lincolnshire.
The 10k route will take you past your adoring crowd before heading out through local villages during the annual Burton in Bloom festival. 🌺🌸🌷
Local villages make their gardens look in their best possible shape and get decked out with flags and bunting ready for the runners and there’s support galore!! 🚩
... This event, linking in with the Burton in Bloom theme, helps to raise awareness for Bumblebees (wildlife is another passion of the Curly’s team) so expect Bee based updates, Bee themed t-shirts as an option and many athletes deciding to go “full bee”, dressing up for the occasion. This has led to a special best dressed Bee trophy! 🐝🐝🐝🐝
And in conjunction with the team at Habitat Aid we‘re giving away a packet of Bee friendly wildflower seeds to every competitor (which is a first for goodie bags!)
The event is fully chip timed, with some road closures and some open roads. Free parking, access to the park for the day, finish line cake and a Bee themed medal plus special Worker Bees, helping to make the event great for everyone involved. 😊 Find out more by following the link in comments and we’ll See you in June!

Thanks Curry's didn't think I'd finish the 5km course after an operation 2wks ago but I did and only 40 seconds slower than last year :-) Also thinking along the way I'm glad there's no water parts like the adventure course in March! Will definitely be participating again. Thank you for a fantastic atmosphere topped off by a rhino charge at the beginning with a lion keeping pace, followed by seeing the tiger, polar bears and painted African dogs n baboons x

User

Thank you for putting on such a good event in which I got to surprise myself and do quite well. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
