Very good with my Autistic son, allowed us to queue jump when it was very very busy. We would have had to go home had the staff not been so accommodating, thank you x

User

Took my two children and a friend yesterday , 13,14,15, never been before we live in Lincoln , good parking , what a great day out fantastic value for money , the kids had a great day was busy but not packed , plenty of room for all , did ice skating first , then swimming , adults not charged for watching , food i had was all fine , we will be back , only thing i had to complain about was a couple of so called pro skaters flying around flicking ice at people and trying to cut people up , not needed when youngsters are just learning ,if only Lincoln had something like this

User

Took my son this morning and thought that it was incredible value for money at just £4.00 for parent and toddler admission. I say it was value for money, I actually didn’t pay as the card reader wasn’t working so the lovely lady on reception let us enter for free! We will be returning weekly as paying customers. Very clean, warm and great staff. 5* from me, especially considering the rates of competitors such as the Metrodome who charge a fortune for limited swimming times!

User

Love the Dome <3 Second visit to Skate and Swim. We have decided we HAVE to visit every year at least once. Such a good price for a family of 4 to skate and swim. And free parking! Staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you :)

User

What can I say about this place...to try and do a Prodigy gig here justice in a few words is impossible! Walking in you think you’re going swimming, the smell of chlorine hits you through the doors. Then it turn into a venue for a kids birthday party and a few more steps and you see a salon and think you’re going for a spa weekend away. It’s just bizarre to have a gig there but it works if only for the novelty factor. It’s different. You walk into a sports hall that a few hours earlier could’ve had an indoor five a side and now it’s full of people getting off their tits and dancing to the same music in totally different way. Irish, conga, rave, it had it all! The sound is excellent which is all that matters. Just don’t stand too close to people at the one and only bar who then hear you talk and realise you’re a ‘foreigner’. Get there, go to the craziest gig you’ll probably ever go to and bloody enjoy it 🤟🏻

User

The gym and staff are fantastic! The pool is great, but the changing room layout takes some getting used to. The spa is great, but is in need of a refurb! Only complaint, it is a pain getting between the pool and the spa. Other than that it is a great place.

User

Had lots of fun with the family at the Dome. Was quite disappointed that there was only one person on the reception desk and the wait to get in was quite long, we were waiting outside in the rain. Once inside everything was perfect and we will go there more often, I just hope that next time there will be more staff to avoid a long wait.

User

Great day out swimming and skating, the kids really enjoyed being able to do both. The only downside was the changing room floor. No over shoes meant outdoor shoes are used in the same area as bare foot and generally dirty. If this was changed it would make such a difference

User

We visited the dome today for our boys 10th birthday treat we also had our 2 year old with us so we didn't want to be stuck in ques n frustration

However we called the venue last week and was told if we book online we can go straight into Ice skating and swimming without ques so we booked online went down to Ice skating 1st

1st of all we went to get our skates and was handed skates and she never asked to see tickets or wristbands

We asked for a penguin for our 2 year old as he has never been on the ice to which the lately very rudely replied yes you will av to pay for them I said ok how much and was willing to pay she was very rude and abrupt and said no u need to go que upstairs to pay for penguins

Then I showed my online tickets on my phone and she said "oh what so you haven't even got a wristband ?" And threw wristbands at us and told us to go upstairs if we want a penguin

The lady behind me in the que overheard and said she also needed penguins and she had just qued upstairs to pay entry and get wristbands she told that lady she had to go back upstairs and then the said staff member stormed off in a strip (very unprofessional)

This was making our family day out for our sons birthday very stressful.

So we progressed to go on the ice without the penguin as the ques were ridiculously long and it was only 10am .

So we enjoyed a good hour on the ice which could av been made a lot more fun and safe for our 2 year old if he could av just had a penguin (there was no option online for hiring a penguin)

When we finished and wanted to return our skates and get our shoes back there was a different lady behind the counter she made us join the very long que of customers who were wanting skates so we had to que again and our socks got all wet queing to get our shoes back this lady was also very rude .

Safe to say we will not be returning to the dome to go ice skating ever again unless this is improved

We had our lunch and then went swimming no faults with swimming at all there's lots to do for both our boys we spent a good 2 hours in the pools indoors and outdoors the changing rooms showers and lockers were brilliant clean we will definitely return to swimming very soon .

User

Visited today and was disappointed my little boy couldn’t go on the slide as he was a tiny bit small although he can swim, but what I am confused about is both slides he couldn’t go on went into the pool where the family slide was which he was able to go on.,,, he was only a few cm too small we’d travelled just under an hour so wasn’t happy with this. And the fact we have to pay for him as he’s 5 yet couldn’t go on the slides maybe this needs to be altered to the height restrictions as doesn’t seem fair when he couldn’t go on all the slides.... won’t be hurrying back anytime soon

User

Took my daughter and her 3 friends yesterday, now they are older i just spectate. They loved ice skating and swimming and thats what its about. My only issues are the uncomfortable furniture and the fact the drinks bit didnt open untill 11am when skating starts at 10am. I went to the bar for a hot drink and u don't even get a full cup. Rip off. The furniture in the hot dog place is very dated too. Not sure where all the money went when they refurbished parts of the dome.

On a side note we had paid for skate n swim so didnt queue again after skating but as only one receptionist was taking money at the till furthest away from the door she didnt see us just walk in. Now this means anyone can just walk in with or without paying. No checks to if people gave actually got bands.

User

Had a family day out yesterday swimming. Great value at £4 to get in and toddler free. It needs a good clean. That’s my only criticism. The whole place just felt ackey. The changing room floor was awful as people wear their shoes where you can also walk with bare feet. Otherwise plenty of family changing and a cheap morning out. Great location as walked across to Nando’s for lunch. Staff were lovely too.

User

Very disappointed with our visit here today. Myself, my mum and my 4yr old nephew came to enjoy the swimming however we left early as the pool was cold.

My nephew is only 3yrs old and whilst there was a new addition of a climbing and slide frame in the toddler area since our last visit, we found the pool air temperature to be very cold. My nephew was shivering and to be honest so were myself and my mum. There was a very cold draught/breeze around the pool that made it very uncomfortable and not at all nice.

Many people around us were also leaving early because of the cold.

User

Had a meeting couple of miles away so sent OH and daughters. They arrived at 10.15 but didn't get in until 10.45 due to the queue and lack of till operating staff, even though there were visible staff chatting near by.

I joined my family couple of hours later. I overheard a couple of ladies with their small child saying he had a poorly tummy. We went and discovered that the little pool was closed due to it not being clean. However the staff were too busy cleaning to let people know they shouldn't go in. I am sure there should be a better way of letting people know not to enter a pool. We told some people while we were waiting for our daughters on the slides.

After the shower, mine and my younger daughter's stomachs were covered in black fluff which was not there when we got in the pool.

The floor in the changing rooms, even though there was a lady cleaning it, was disgusting. Even my 8 year old commented on the state of it.

Finally, my neck and my elder daughter's neck was sore and stinging, which again weren't like that before we went in.

I do not intend on returning as the general cleanliness was seriously lacking and the environmental health authority I am sure would be interested in looking at my concerns.

User

Came to the dome for the stamp magic show. Queued at the bar 20 mins in the atrium. Only to be told they didn't have coke or lemonade.it is a very warm day. Too warm for coffee and way too early for alcohol. Staff weren't interested. Sent me upstairs to use the vending machine. Appalling customer service. Was also way too warm in the hall. About time you invested in some air conditioning! Ďoncaster dome. Absolutely rubbish!!! Won't be coming back!

User

Yet again the dome doesn’t fail disappoint! I turn up for a swim to be told only the top pool is open, despite website saying the swim session is in main swimming pool. You need your website to be more accurate. I purposely made a trip with my little boy who can’t swim, so can’t go in the top pool! So we go to the play area instead only to be told that I have to pay too! “For what?” I ask. “To get a headache” was the reply I received from the member of staff! Utter rip off. It’s bad enough that your prices are daylight robbery but to be so bloody blatant about is audacious at best and insulting at worst.

User

Went to the spa at the dome on monday to not enjoy it . There plaster of the walls and look run down in the changing room in the spa was a fun that is full of dust seems to be growning its own eco system . Very disappointed that i pay membership to see it in such a state am surprised no one has been taken ill

User

We travelled from Rotherham so my kids could enjoy a fun pool and slides , I checked the website for any problems timetables before we set off there was nothing , when we got there we were told at reception the main pool and the big waterslides were closed ? I think you should state on your website that in school holidays the main slides close at 4 Disappointed but thought we’ve traveled all this way we can still have fun , when we got inside the toddler slides were also closed and broken and the outside was closed too , what a waste of time and money our local pool provides water we would of been better just going there

User

Doncaster Dome have no awareness of the needs of Autistic children or the safety of ALL children. Today out of the blue they changed their rules for their swimming lessons and stopped parents from watching even those with children in the class with special needs.

They left a 6 year old autistic boy to get out of the pool by himself, get dressed and leave unattended.

His anxious mother went to investigate when he didn’t appear from the changing rooms on time and found him in his swimwear, stood next to the pool with nobody watching him whilst he had a breakdown as he thought he had been abandoned.

He could’ve drowned or been kidnapped. Shame on you Doncaster Dome!

Re-evaluate your policies and educate yourselves on the needs of vulnerable people so this doesn’t happen again.

Went to the spa at the dome on monday to not enjoy it . There plaster of the walls and look run down in the changing room in the spa was a fun that is full of dust seems to be growning its own eco system . Very disappointed that i pay membership to see it in such a state am surprised no one has been taken ill
