This is great. Well done South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue. We hope to see more public services doing this.

Some of our secondary school pupils had a fantastic day out at Leeds University recently.
The adventure day was full of fun outdoors activities and our pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day.
Huge thanks to the university students who worked hard organising activities including den building, team problem-solving games, orienteering and kayaking to ensure our pupils had fun learning new skills.
... We had some great feedback from the university lecturer Ashley, who said:
"It was good to see you all again yesterday. Everyone had a great day. My students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gained immeasurably from sharing time with you all. Thank you for the opportunity to share this day together.
"I was proud of my students and their achievements yesterday and I was really impressed with the effort and engagement shown by all your students on the day. Each day is only as good as its participants and Doncaster is always a great school to work with."
Well done everyone!

Here’s a Happy Christmas from one of our pupils. We’ll be sharing a few more Christmas signs over the next few days.
You can practice them at home.

Our pupils had a great trip to the Moon at Doncaster Minster this week.
All Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 pupils had a fantastic experience at Luke Jerram's amazing "Museum of the Moon" art sculpture.
They walked under and around the impressive artwork, marvelling at the size, pretending to hold it above their heads or laying on rugs below it.
... Afterwards everyone was entertained by a presentation by Dennis Ashton, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, talking about the history of exploring the moon.
We were all fascinated and full of questions for Dennis.
A wonderful visit which we will be discussing for a long time to come.

Keira and Seth have signed sections of their poems for us. Their monster based poems are among some of those published in a new book.
Well done!
Keira's poem is called, Bloody Slimy Monster
... What does my monster look like, Well, It's slimy and scary He has dripping, dribbling blood It is as green as grass That's what my monster looks like.
Seth's poem is called, Horror
How does my monster move? Dances weirdly Walks forwards not backwards As slow as a snail That's how my monster moves!
