This is a great hotel. The rooms are a good size. The staff are friendly. The breakfast was great . The pool and spa area are nice and family friendly. We stayed here for a night with family as we were having a big family gathering for Easter . We will be back and definitely recommend it.

User

The course is fantastic and I had a fantastic time, however my 5 star rating is for the blonde behind the bar, I bottled asking your name so if you see this please add me and I’ll be first to take you for a drink xxx

User

Thank you for making my hen weekend amazing , the spa , food and hotel was amazing and couldn’t fault anything apart from , would be a really good idea to have a noisy part of the hotel so people can celebrate and have fun without disturbing people

Organising the first ever Mrs Philippines UK-Lincolnshire 2018 pageant was a very daunting, albeit challenging and exhausting task. The events team did everything they could to ensure the event will be a huge success. I couldn't thank you enough, especially the staff on duty and the ever supportive and genuine care that Jasmine (events duty manager) did. Going beyond that extra mile, Jasmine did a fantastic job! Here's to hoping for future events at Forest Pines Hotel! Congratulations on being one of best!!! Highly recommended to everyone!

User

Just back from a fantastic couple of days. The golf course is a real test of golf but very enjoyable. I loved the course and can't wait to go back. Staff are extremely pleasant and the young lady who was in charge of the restaurant was a great advert for high level customer service. Breakfast was excellent and the facilities in general were very good. Only little complaint was price of the wine. £12 for a large glass and £36 for a bottle of wine is ridiculous. A great deal for golfers in general but this isn't reflected in wine and actually that price stopped us buying it so not sure it's a great piece of marketing. That aside I absolutely loved my stay and cant wait to go back

User

I would like to thank all the staff at the Hotel/golf course. The RAF Regiment Golf Champs were a great success. The course/s were amazing and the help and advice from the staff was 5*. Would recommend to any golf enthusiast, it's a must play course.

User

Absolutely one of the best Golf Courses to play in and around Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.. Fabulous tree lined fairways, beautiful greens and a smart clubhouse overlooking the course..

3 nine hole courses to test your skills, Pines being the most challenging..

A must play venue for any serious golfer..

User

Lovely visit loves the hotel and how attentive the staff were only bad thing to say is we wanted to check out but had to que for 15 minutes at reception until we have up and just put our key card on the desk and left. Should have more staff on reception but I would definitely stay again!

User

Loved the spa day. 'A little slice of heaven'

Spa staff were friendly but the bar staff were miserable as sin. Would it really hurt them to crack a smile! Training course in smiling may be needed! Food was ok.. burger was a bit bland, chips were overcooked and chocolate cake was a bit dry, but all in all a lovely day thankyou. Will definitely be back but probably without the food.

User

Just had a great golf, two rounds, one night stay. The room was very nice, food good, 20% discount on drinks was much appreciated. The staff worked very hard to make everything good, particularly as we were a group of 44 golfers. We are planning to come back soon as it’s a great course and good value. Many thanks to all the staff from the Stratford Oaks golf club.

I visited Forest Pines Hotel yesterday for an overnight stay. I was greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very welcoming. My boyfriend, who was playing golf, had booked it as a surprise for my birthday. When I was checked in I went to use the spa facilities, I knew it may be busy as it's Easter weekend. It wasn't overly busy and I managed to use the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. I also managed to get a lounger. I had a nice lunch in the hotel which was slightly confused as I went to the Pines Bar just before 2pm who told me I had to have lunch there. I got there just before they stopped serving so did manage to eat but feel it could be clearer where you can eat and at what times etc

I had the Relaxing Face and Body Ritual with ESPA with Pearl. She was lovely & I had a great treatment, feeling relaxed afterwards. My only critism would be that there was quite a lot of noise from outside the room.

We ate in The Grill restaurant last night where the food was amazing. The staff were great and even brought me a birthday treat. Grace was one of the girls who served us who was pleasant, efficient and lovely.

With weddings and hen dos there I thought it may be loud in the hotel but it was quiet & I had a comfortable & pleasant sleep.

Breakfast this morning was nice & the staff throughout our stay were welcoming, friendly and pleasant.

My partner played golf Good Friday and Saturday on all 3 courses and really enjoyed it. Thanks for an overall lovely stay.

User

Great weekend. Golf could have been better but everything else was great. Great courses, great food, great wine, great rooms, great staff ( John, Matt, Dan, Kevin and the gang in the golf area along with Mary in the Pines bar particularly). Topped off by great company. Enjoyed every minute. We will be back.

User

We spent the evening in the Pines Bar. The drinks were nice, and the staff were friendly, but I found the atmosphere cold. One of the staff switched off the air conditioning. I don't really understand why air conditioning needed to be on when the weather was cool at best.

User

We came for spa day today for my daughter 20th birthday and the spa it self was lovely the girls were fantastic but unfornately the bar staff put a big damper on the day and made my daughter and friend feel very uncomfortable! as my daughter went to get her drink from the bar my daughter came back with them and sat waiting for her meal and then with that the manager she came up and said could i see your id !! very rudely and in front of everyone around !! My daughter got her id out but her friend had forgot her as she didnt think she needed it as she was 20 and the spa day had been booked well in advanced and never she been ask before, we find it very rude how she came over and to ask in front of everyone she could of been abit more friendly and discerete about it and if there been a concern she should of ask her before selling her the drink !! and to tell me i have to drink it instead and walked off they payed 17 pound for two drinks and it was dicusting manner of her !! Then she walked off telling all the staff to watch us which they all did by starring over making us all feel very uncomfortable while we was there !! This is not away to treat customers, i myself have worked in hotels and i have never once made customers feel like this, it was done in a very unprofessional manner and spoiled my daughter 20th birthday !!very disappointed that your bar staff treat paying honest customer this way!!

User

Stayed before, been okay in the past.

Had room 312 think it was above kitchens ,couldn’t have window open as a steam vent outside and noisy until very late.

Kettle lid in room filthy on outside, shower hose damaged, curtain came partially off when i trued to close them and spot lights on all night.

Plus they’ve stopped doing specials on food in bar as they are trying to get more people to walk around to the golf club house, last thing you want after along day.

At £107 a night may try somewhere else next time.

User

Was bought a spa day As a gift and it took me three weeks to try and book the spa day as no one answers the phone on the reception. When I tried to book treatments two weeks in advance it also took me several attempts to get through and was told they only had time for one treatment only. When we arrived we did not get the expected service and was told to ‘just sit there’. The spa facilities were not what I would class as normal standard for a spa day, the sauna and steam room can only fit around 6 people in and it felt overcrowded. The jacuzzi was the same and the pool was cold. Not enough seats for everyone using the spa. Unfortunately was let down and wouldn’t choose to go again for a spa day.

User

Me and my partner traveled from Hull to visit forest pines in the hope for a relaxing day using the spa facilities with the use of a wowcher offer I purchased in January. I purchased it in the hope for a Valentine’s Day treat but they emailed to say they had no available spaces until April. I had already complained about this therefore they managed to fit us in for the 4th March. The offer should not be available if there is over crowding and no available slots sooner than 3 months. The offer included a spa day experience with refreshments and a cake. We imagined the spa facilities to have a relaxing atmosphere. I knew it may have been busy as you did state about squeezing us in but was unaware that children’s swimming lessons was taking place which meant a whole pool of kids screaming, splashing around therefore making it impossible for adults to swim and hear one another. Also adding to the fact that children where using the jacuzzi meant lack of space for us to use it and other members on their spa day.

While sat in the sauna we also overheard and then discussed with other users that they were also unhappy about their experience.

Unfortunately we did not feel the experience was relaxing and peaceful. It lacked background music and adults only which is what we and others would imagine a spa day to be despite not having any treatments the facilities should be enjoyable. We felt uncomfortable to get in the pool as there was no room to swim and enjoy ourselves. The loungers were also taken up by children’s swimming bags, clothes and floaties.

We spent 1 hours out of our 4 hour slot in the “spa” as we had already had enough of it all.

Straight after we went for our refreshments which was nice but overall our visit was disappointing which i say in great regret.

User

Lovely hotel, great facilities. Drinks very expensive. The forest and the pines 9 holes very good and challenging, the beeches 9 holes not so good. Went with 47 others in a society, we had booked based on a certain menu but the hotel decided last minute that that would change to a carvery which to be honest wasn’t very good. Breakfast however was there was plenty of choice from a full English to cereals and fruit etc.

User
