This is my Warrior II this morning. After struggling with asthma and hay fever all week, in addition to jumping back on the HIIT bandwagon, everything is hurting and every part of my body is tired. Virahabdrasana II has many benefits. It stretches the legs, ankles and groin, opens the chest and shoulders, improves digestion and stamina & promotes peace and courage. It’s a strong asana and this morning, for the first ten or so breaths my legs were shaking. As it started to ease, the pose felt more restorative so I stayed here for around 5 minutes each side. This is what felt good for my body in that present moment. 🧘‍♀️Accept and breathe. #virahabdrasana #accept #breathe #bepresent #dowhatfeelsright #yourbodyyouryoga

‘Yoga meets you where you are’. I’ve heard this quote several times over the last week- which seems strange, but maybe I’ve never tuned into it before. Yoga does meet you where you are. It meets you when your happy, content, strong, tired, sad, worn out, stressed, relaxed or lost and it expects nothing from you. Yoga calms, strengthens, supports and empowers those who arrive on their mat. All you’ve got to do is show up and be honest with yourself- do what is right for you and your body in the present moment. 🙏 thank you to my teachers for continuing to guide me in the right direction 🌎 Yoga meets you where you are.
