About Elvington Fisheries
Elvington Fisheries is situated just 8 miles from York city centre. The lake holds good stocks of Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd and if you are really lucky you may bag a catfish. We are a family run business established for over 35 years.

Hi everyone, something is wrong with the directions to get here, so when you click on the google maps directions it will take you somewhere else, the address is Lake Cottage Wheldrake Lane York YO41 4AZ. Dont go onto the get directions, i have tried to change it but its not doing it so will sort it all out properly very soon, sorry for any of you that has clicked it and gone wrong.

lovely lake lost 3 cats 1st day and fishing was a struggle at times but thats fishing for ya will definetly be making regular visits
love this place all sorts of fish but the carp and cats are top of the league for this part of country -- see yous soon

Lovely lake, great site, very friendly owners.
Visited here bank holiday Monday to try my hand at a catfish. Probably wasn't prepared enough to catch one but got some valuable tips and info of the owner who was super helpful and even sorted me out with some chicken liver. Will definitely be back soon. Top place.
Me and my mate stayed for 2 nights really well run family business and really nice people and other people on site was nice too will be back soon my mate managed a 24.14 cat and I add a 8lb carp

Great place lovely people
Great lake, lovely owners, kept immaculate and loads of fish to go at, including Carp to 20+ if you can single a better one out and ofcourse the big Catfish. Can be busy, especially in summer and on a weekend. Caravaners can sometimes take pegs before day anglers can get on, but they pay for the privilege so it is what it is. Definitely fishes better midweek when not as busy, can be hard work if busy. Go early season or back end when it's quietest for best results, or when warm and smash em off the top ��
Great fishery had a great day very friendly and helpful will go again
Fishing here today with my misses, we shared a peg as it was her first day on the rods. Well what can I say lovely place spotless for one the peg we choose was nice and solid even when it rain it didn’t turn to a mud bath. Fishing wasn’t the easyiest but owner came round and what a lovely chap stood spoke to me for over a hour put me on a couple of spots my end day result was one bream 3.5lb 3 carp to 24lb I’ve fished all over york and most the country’s u won’t get 3 rods for £7 anywhere better then this place with 60lb+ cats to have a go at too
