What can I say... We had a fantastic time. I won the Facebook competition of the 10 free childrenвАЩs meals and we went today for my daughters 6th birthday. 6 adults and 8 children. The food was excellent and the cake was amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you again. See you soon Xxx

Went today at 2pm for the £6.99 2 course special. Not much choice but had a starter garlic mushrooms (soup other alternative) and the small carvery (only choice). Other desert option ice cream or hot pudding of the day. Starter arrived about 5 mins after ordering and was fresh and hot. I had ham beef and had the salad bar option as it was 24 deg outside. Really nice meal Good service and value for money. Also tried the midweek set breakfast last week it was really good. Like most places they can't be 100% perfect every time but I have only good feedback from this outlet.

Went to the Birkenshaw location for dinner with my wife and our close friend. We all got the Carvery, and it was fabulous. The various carved meats were excellent, and the assortment of sides was both plentiful and delicious. And the price was incredibly reasonable. And then there was desert!! To say incredible doesn't do it justice, and the size of the deserts was enormous, you will bring some home. The staff was a pleasure and very helpful.

Went for breakfast with my sisters and mom. I was breastfeeding my baby when a waitress came over and told me that they offer free lattes to breastfeeding mothers. Very lovely waitress and great visit as always. пњљ

We visited for the 1st time last week. Large pub/restaurant with seperate areas for families with children & all adult groups which as a parent I love to know the kids are away from adult conversations & ideal if you ever get out without the kids in toe.



The food was lovely, good sized portions at a good price; we were so full we couldn't finish our meals.



During our visit my newborn needed feeding & not long after I started breastfeeding I was approached by a member of staff but not to ask me to stop or direct me to the toilets but to offer me a free drink & basically was very supportive.



We got a cake-away to share with our elder child when we collected her from preschool. which was big enough to share between 3 & tasted amazing. Her reaction to the size of the cake was "wow, biggest cake ever" she now wants us to visit again with her.

Pretty decent service every time I've been, regardless of the time of day.



I have honestly not got a bad thing to say about the place, and that's rare for me. Staff are polite and professional while still being down-to-earth, food is consistently good quality and well cooked, and there's a fantastic kids area (not that I use it, honest). I've never had to laugh at a bartender for pulling a short pint (well known in other places), the table surfaces and cutlery are kept to a high level of cleanliness, and the facilities are always well maintained.



I suppose if there's one observation (still not a bad thing) that I could make is that there's a lack of motorcycle parking. Not that I care as I'm more than happy to take a car space, which does seem slightly wasteful.

Love enjoying the meal with my family but that last 3 times we have noticed the carrots are a bit chunky and not cooked through properly would be nice if they did some roasted parsnips as well but I will be back as the cake are just Hevanly and that just finished the meal spot on x

Another lovely visit to the Heathfield, a slight mix up with our booking but it was sorted out in an instant with no trouble at all so a big thumbs up ~ these things happen it's how it's dealt with that counts. We were a large family group visting for a special birthday and were made to feel very welcome and we all received great service and lovely food. Big thank you to the Heathfield team and we'll be back soon xx

Really disappointed that they only accept Defence Discount Service Cards on a weekday (good job the forces and emergency services don't only work weekdays). Not today, but I have found the management here a bit arrogant and aggressive and too readily to pass you the head office email address if you wish to complain and that didn't get a response either!!

Had breakfast & carvery, lovely food, nice staff. Puddings are great. We took home a giant chocolate eclair, it had cream & custard in it. It was so big it took two days to eat. One negative- cold plates for breakfast.& gravy should be made with meat juices. & no pork crackling available. These are just minor comments, as the meals are good value.

Great food as usual. Did have half hour wait for food though due to a large party who also needed looking after. Second round of drinks on the house ( which we didnвАЩt ask for). We were told it was due to food delay. Will definitely be going back again, love this place.

Sorry to say was disappointed with the carvery meal. Meat was fine, vegetables were hot but most of it had gone soggy. Especially the roast potatoes, and the cauliflower cheese lacked any cheese and the florets were hard. Not edible, eat meat and carrots but left the rest.

Was really looking forward to visiting as I've been looking at the fb posts for weeks but gotta say not impressed and to top it off they didn't bring my pudding out with my partners so just ended up getting a refund, I don't think I'll be rushing back in a hurry

Very disappointed .... had minted lamb shank, (I was more minted,)totally tasteless, no mint .

Gravy added, I would have preferred to put it on myself . Mashed potatoes no salt added, I cook with salt but hate it on my food.

Got a cake to take away, very large .... very sweet so...... salt. Nil. Sugar too much

i went for a 70th birthday and got left with NO FOOD everyone else where fine just left me out. spoken to assistant manager and bear in mind it wasnt busy at all he just wasnt bothered at all really not happy. the point is the service there was a disgrace just let me sit there like a twat.

Such a shame the food is really nice at this pub however the staff arenвАЩt which doesnвАЩt surprise me as the manages customer service was shocking we booked a table for a family leaving dinner for 13 people we turned up the manager said weвАЩve give your table away as you where meant to come an hour ago I said no we booked it for 6.30 he said all we can offer you is 2 tables back to back I said this is a family meal we donвАЩt want to sit back to back so he placed us somewhere else my husband went to the bar and then heard him saying to a staff member I donвАЩt know what she wanted me to do she came an hour late my husband said if your going slag my family off at least do it in the back and we wasnвАЩt late but the way your staff member put the wrong time down we spent over ¬£130 and believe me it wasnвАЩt worth it the managers need more training пњљпњљпњљпњљ ruined our family meal

The meat was very dry and fatty the stuffing was processed dough,mash was dried up the roast potatoes was that hard they couldnвАЩt be cut let alone eaten and the gravy had more lumps in than it would have had had they of added peas to it, we normally come and normally no problems however tonightвАЩs was just shocking when mentioned to staff was told there was nothing they could do as they was busy absolutely appalling service and defo wonвАЩt be recommending you anymore

Arrived for breakfast at 10.35 greeted by a not so cheerful man to be told it was finished an we had to wait for the menu to start at 11. Ordered all day breakfasts at 10.59 for it to arrive at 11.03...... clearly not freshly cooked presumably left over from the breakfast buffet that finished 30 mins previously. Bacon very fatty ( asked for well done) an cold. Sausages cooked to within an inch of its life, bottom of the pan beans an the toast must have been shown the toaster but not put in. Overall very disappointed. Told the waitress when she came to ask but she didnвАЩt seem overly concerned wonвАЩt be coming back in a hurry
