Reviews
It must be a bank holiday weekend, hope tomorrow is better, we are open at 10
Starting tomorrow we are open 7days a week throughout the school holidays
Still blue skies on the Bingley Riviera
Please be aware that the cafe is closed Tuesday and Wednesday this week, apologies for any inconvenience this may cause but we felt the need to investigate cafe culture on the greek island of Crete,
David 'poirot' Suchet just passing through the five rise
Just another normal day at the five rise, super heroes on tour
We are open on May Day, Bank Holiday Monday 10-5, it's going to be a lovely spring day so come for a walk to the Five Rise locks
Lovely Simnal cake for Easter, we are open all weekend including Easter Monday, regardless of the weather!
Excellent photograph, it's worth getting out walking in all weather's, especially when there is a cafe at the top.
We've made it down and are open for business
We are open today, and so are the locks

Fair point
great cups of tea and nice friendly staff great views so tranquil foods great too
delicious food and beautiful setting
Visited here on Sunday for a cuppa and cake with the kids. Having delivered here many times for miller food service, it was high time we had a proper visit. Absolutely gem of a cafe, lovely friendly staff and what an amazing location to boot. Next visit will definitely spend more time here.
The best bacon and fried egg sarnies in the world. My daughter aged 10 says the same about the sausage version.
And they do proper Yorkshire tea which, as an expat now living in Oslo, is more important than you will ever know. :)
Super cafe caters for gluten free lovely sandwiches and cakes
Popped in for tea and cake. What a lovely cafe and in a great location. Befor a walk down the locks to bingley
Our first visit and a nice surprise in a nice setting for a coffee and a sticky bun. The only criticism was the music too loud, we were sat at the far end from the counter. We met by accident someone the my wife worked with who go quite often and they said that the music is not normally that loud.
We will call again next time we are in the area.
I love walking down to the five rise locks cafe with Rafferty and having a flat white coffee and bacon sanie to die for, nice people and you always get chatting to another dog owner
Had a nice cup of coffee and a lovely Yorkshire Scallywag (think that's what they were called). Nice friendly staff. Great to sit out and watch the world go by on the canals.
Great little cafe on top of five rise. Made most of outside area with seating. Food nice. Always a treat after bike ride or walk.
Fab cappuccino, very relaxing, friendly staff x
Due to my love of canals I thought this place was perfect. Lovely location for a cafe. Only had a drink, so can't comment on the food- but the meals & cakes looked mouthwatering! If ever this place is up for sale it would be my dream job . Lovely chat with the owner about our trip to see Barry Manilow that evening! If we are ever in the area again will definitely come back!
As I only had a brew, I can't really give a proper review..... But if I was to rate this place on the quality of its pot of Yorkshire tea, it gets 5 stars. I hate it when you get a mug of dishwater and a plastic pot of UHT s**t.
Here you get a teapot (2 teabags) so you can allow it to brew, and its proper Yorkshire blend, not the cheap tea bags that taste of dust. Fresh milk. Perfect.
A welcome bacon butty, latte and cake after cycling in the cold, disappointed not to see my lovely friend Anne
A great find! Cosy, great location, friendly owners, good food and dog friendly. And I mean properly dog friendly - you don't have to sit shivering outside when it's wet and cold, yes they let you come inside - hurrah for the Five Rise Locks Cafe!
A brilliant cafe with a brilliant team
Great hope of good quality food and drinks
Wonderful to stop after a good walk
Would recommend this cafe to anyone
The best in Bingley / Crossflatts
Love going here as it’s a nice walk from my daughter’s with her dog and the fact that we’re all welcome inside for food and drink makes it a perfect stop. Also has outside seating, but with this hot weather we’ve tended to give the dog an escape from the sun and a chance to cool off inside on the stone flooring! Meals and cakes always very acceptable.
Dog friendly nice staff and reasonable prices right next to canal.Outside seating when its warm enough. Try the latte with gingerbread flavour!
Beautiful location, would recommend a large teapot between two rather than individuals and a review of sandwich prices, other than that great customer service.
