Fleetways Taxis, York's Premier Private Hire Company. We will be competing in 'The York Bid Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge' on Monday 27th August 2018 to raise money for an exemplary national charity; Guide Dog's UK, which supports Blind Children UK.
The reason for our choice is that one of our drivers' grandchildren was recently diagnosed, at the age of only five months, with Nystagmus, a serious and incurable visual impairment.

So tonight me and my partner got a taxi with Paula. She was an absolute star! Paula made us feel comfortable, welcomed in the vehicle and overall super pleased with the experience. I offered Paula a tip but she preferred a review and this just shows how Fleetways want to focus on customer experience. I highly recommend Fleetways for any travel, whether it be home or elsewhere. (Ask for Paula, she has a open view roof and is a great chat!) this is my second experience with Fleetways and both have been fantastic and satisfying! 110% effort from the guys!

In -4 conditions with snow all around nobody else would pick us up. Alas, Paula from Fleetway’s saved us from the bitter cold. Not only was she on time but she was delightful company to both my friend and I. A true credit to the company, request Paula for both a great journey and a great time.

Booked a taxi to the Theatre with quite a lot of music gear to take with me. Taxi driver Andy (I believe that was his name) couldn’t have been more helpful. Best taxi driver and service I’ve ever had. 😀

Very disappointed by the service yesterday, especially after giving specific detailed directions to our house on ordering the cab over 24 hours in advance. The taxi driver got lost (in york) and arrived half an hour late, which meant we were late in arriving at a wedding. We got a text saying he was arriving, but didn't for another 30 minutes, so we stood outside for that length of time waiting. His excuse was he didn't know where it was and went to another location, despite the fact I told the lady on booking 'exactly' where we lived. We were compensated by a free journey but would have far rather had less stress and got to our destination in time.

Well where to start, pre booked a taxi on Friday morning for 1.30 Saturday afternoon to the races. We'd travelled 2 hours to get to york at 1.45 we rang to see where the taxi was and were told 10 15 minutes away. Half an hour later still no sign, rang numerous other taxi companies in the meantime but obviously with it being race day nobody could get us! After a few more phone calls we were told we didn't have to pay the fare when the taxi did arrive, which is all well and good but it was 3 o'clock by the time to got to the races and had missed half of what we had paid for! Very disappointing to say the least! However The driver was a really lovely man and could see why we were so angry. This Completely ruined what we had left of our day�

Taxi booked by phone on previous evening for 08:15 from central York. It was critical that we would be at our destination 2 miles away by 09:00 so allowed ourselves plenty of time. To be sure we told the operator of our deadlines& they confirmed we had allowed sufficient time. With no taxi in sight at 08:25 I called to be told that as there was a lot of traffic taxi would be with us in 5-10 minutes. At 08:45 called again to be told another 10-12 minutes. So for a journey of about 2 miles the taxi was going to be 45 minutes late and would not arrive until the time that we had stated that we needed to be at our destination. We genuinely could have walked in that time. Completely unacceptable.



Suffice it to say that UBER saved the day.

I booked a taxi a few weekends ago, it arrived on time but actually smelled really bad. I think someone had been sick in the car and I think the seats were still a bit damp from being recently cleaned. Not a pleasant experience. Driver was friendly enough, but I won't be using again.

Booked a taxi to the Theatre with quite a lot of music gear to take with me. Taxi driver Andy (I believe that was his name) couldn’t have been more helpful. Best taxi driver and service I’ve ever had. 😀

Very disappointed by the service yesterday, especially after giving specific detailed directions to our house on ordering the cab over 24 hours in advance. The taxi driver got lost (in york) and arrived half an hour late, which meant we were late in arriving at a wedding. We got a text saying he was arriving, but didn't for another 30 minutes, so we stood outside for that length of time waiting. His excuse was he didn't know where it was and went to another location, despite the fact I told the lady on booking 'exactly' where we lived. We were compensated by a free journey but would have far rather had less stress and got to our destination in time.

Well where to start, pre booked a taxi on Friday morning for 1.30 Saturday afternoon to the races. We'd travelled 2 hours to get to york at 1.45 we rang to see where the taxi was and were told 10 15 minutes away. Half an hour later still no sign, rang numerous other taxi companies in the meantime but obviously with it being race day nobody could get us! After a few more phone calls we were told we didn't have to pay the fare when the taxi did arrive, which is all well and good but it was 3 o'clock by the time to got to the races and had missed half of what we had paid for! Very disappointing to say the least! However The driver was a really lovely man and could see why we were so angry. This Completely ruined what we had left of our day�

Taxi booked by phone on previous evening for 08:15 from central York. It was critical that we would be at our destination 2 miles away by 09:00 so allowed ourselves plenty of time. To be sure we told the operator of our deadlines& they confirmed we had allowed sufficient time. With no taxi in sight at 08:25 I called to be told that as there was a lot of traffic taxi would be with us in 5-10 minutes. At 08:45 called again to be told another 10-12 minutes. So for a journey of about 2 miles the taxi was going to be 45 minutes late and would not arrive until the time that we had stated that we needed to be at our destination. We genuinely could have walked in that time. Completely unacceptable.



Suffice it to say that UBER saved the day.

I booked a taxi a few weekends ago, it arrived on time but actually smelled really bad. I think someone had been sick in the car and I think the seats were still a bit damp from being recently cleaned. Not a pleasant experience. Driver was friendly enough, but I won't be using again.

Used the app to book taxi home. The driver, Wendy, was lovely- made such a difference booking online, being able to track car, & paying by card. Will definitely be using again �

This firm is very reliable and punctual and the drivers are always professional and courteous - usually friendly to boot! I have never had a problem with their service and they always leave enough time to get you to where you need to go - and when!

Thanks so much to fleetways for sending a wheelchair taxi so quickly to the hospital to take my mum back to the nursing home yesterday. And the driver was lovely with my mum. And chatted to me all the way there

So tonight me and my partner got a taxi with Paula. She was an absolute star! Paula made us feel comfortable, welcomed in the vehicle and overall super pleased with the experience. I offered Paula a tip but she preferred a review and this just shows how Fleetways want to focus on customer experience. I highly recommend Fleetways for any travel, whether it be home or elsewhere. (Ask for Paula, she has a open view roof and is a great chat!) this is my second experience with Fleetways and both have been fantastic and satisfying! 110% effort from the guys!

In -4 conditions with snow all around nobody else would pick us up. Alas, Paula from Fleetway’s saved us from the bitter cold. Not only was she on time but she was delightful company to both my friend and I. A true credit to the company, request Paula for both a great journey and a great time.

Great service yesterday for a big family get together in York. Booked two cars for separate jobs and both were on time. Booked on the app with the reassurance of being able to track our cars once dispatched. Friendly and helpful. The perfect start to our celebrations!
