This is a charming street with plenty of character and history. One of the best central areas to be in York. There is an abundance of restaurants, cafes and a pub or two also. The regular Fossgate Festivals highlight the best that this street has to offer and are a welcome and popular addition to the already full calendar of events around the city. Well done to Zoe,Tim, Ambiente and all the other community spirited traders and charities who take the time to organise these very enjoyable occasions. Long may they continue!

Fossgate is a beautiful part of York's center, with a wonderful community. One of the best things about the street is, it's completely made up of small businesses not a tescos in sight :D x
