Went on a wed night for 2 steaks n bottle of wine. The steak was cooked perfectly and just delicious and melted in my mouth. Lovely peppercorn sauce too with a big fat juicy mushroom served with gorgeous home made chips . Deffo be back for more food and drinks..... great deal too. Well done guys ��

We visited the Bistro for Mother's Day today and were so impressed. The food was divine. The decor and ambience is perfect and the service was excellent. This restaurant will definitely become an asset to the town. We will 100% be back and will be raving about it to friends.

We ate here on Wednesday.. it was my second time...

The first time was a few weeks ago, just me and a friend, we thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food and the great gin selection �

Second time, I managed to persuade my husband to come along with our children.

He’s a fussy eater and turned his nose up when I mentioned going, but to his surprise he loved his meal... he had a bread starter, fillet steak with garlic spinach (which he requested) and some chunky chips.. his steak was cooked to perfection just as he’d requested..

my children had the chicken kebabs with a portion of chips to share, my eldest said they were the best chips he’d ever had.

This restaurant is now our family favourite as we had no waste, I had a cheeky Gin and my husband did not moan.

He even complemented the owner on how amazing the food and service was when we left..

Gemma was our waitress for the night and she was very helpful and efficient.

Only 1 thing I had a little issue with... I have a 1 year old with me who required a nappy change but there is no changing facilities so I had to change him on the disabled toilet floor.. I did mention this to Gemma (our waitress) who said she would pass on to the management.

Can’t wait for the cocktail bar to open ��

Treated my mum yesterday and it was very nice. Friendly waitress. Very good portions (those onion rings were massive). We got the chicken and lamb kebabs, sweet potato fries and halloumi. I love the decor very contemporary traditional. Nice revamp to the George that's always been in Cleck.

The new owners have done an amazing job.... I can’t wait to see the rest of the building, excellent taste!

The food was amazing and clearly all freshly prepared to order, I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Really over exceeded our expectations having not been in since becoming the bistro! Really well presented, great atmosphere and some decent beers on the taps! We had the tapas and while the place isn’t a tapas restaurant there was a good selection, the food was really tasty and perfectly portioned. The waitress who served us tonight was spot on from the minute we came in, nice manner, timely and not overbearing. Looking forward to going back and trying other parts of the menu. The brioche donuts....food porn!

Met with friends for dinner last night and decided to try here as seen some reviews since it’s opened, we were not disappointed. Food was amazing..!! Great menu, not loads of items to pick from (much prefer less options..!) but quality is definitely order of the day here. Prices really reasonable, including drinks prices and lovely service. We’ll definitely be back.

I won a voucher towards valentines meal. It was amazing we had payed to start was gorgeous, just one little point just need a little more bread. Then we had the steak it melted in your mouth was beautiful. Then desert sticky toffee creme brûlée oh my word it was heaven!!! Think I had a meg Ryan moment. Thank you for a wonderful evening x

Food was very nice service was good venue is lovely had no expense spared developing this place. Sat outside and had a few drinks after our meal didnt even think we were in Cleckheaton it is that nice and chilled. Well in creating such a nice place.

Excellent food, good value and a lovely environment - the renovations are superb. we really enjoyed our 3 courses from the set menu. The choices were varied and good for veggies too - we will be back and would recommend to others

Can't recommend enough! The place looks really good inside, it has been renovated to a high standard. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food absolutely beautiful and the prices competitive. Great selection of drinks. Will definitely be back! �

After a lovely, sunny day out with friends to hebdon bridge we ended up back local with an unplanned stop here for tea , knowing it had been refurbished recently. I had never been in before , didn't like the look of it but now it looks amazing. Fantastic job done of the bistro with a lovely old building & the wine bar hopefully opening soon. The large outside area was great on a lovely sunny day & i'm sure will be very popular this summer.

The food we had was lovely. 2 had steak & 2 had fish & chips. The homemade chips were some of the best I've had dining out. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they do tapas , including my all time favourite padron peppers, couldn't resist a portion alongside my fish & chips, fab !!!

A great asset to cleckheaton, they also have live music so I'm sure we will become frequent visitors.

What a transformation! Very nice bar and the tapas was delicious! The only reason I’ve given 4 and not 5 stars is that they don’t do cocktails which is a shame. Lovely outdoor area too, need to invest in more tables! Will definitely be going again

We ate here Sat 31st in between shows at the town hall two kids three adults menu was spot on for all our needs ,and food excellent piping hot and all appeared to be home made, staff were all pleasant and helpful well done we will be back.

Overall we had a lovely evening. The only faults I could mention are that we waited 35 minutes for someone to take our first drinks order and the desserts are very overpriced for such a small portion. The main meals however were really tasty and well sized for the money and the waitresses were friendly.

Lovely food love the decor inside and garden is lovely too. Only thing that I think could be improved is we ate outside and had to go inside to order drinks and food every time. It was a nice evening and everyone was sat outside and all the staff were inside just didn’t make sense to me. But wouldn’t stop me returning.

Booked a table for 2 , first visit to eat , lovely warm surroundings , we both ordered the ribeye steaks , they were absolutely delicious 😋, however if I’m eating I really didn’t like that there was a singer on Matty , it was very loud! , lots of people cheering clapping , couldn’t hear each other , that was the only let down for us ,sort of ruined the nice atmosphere, but the food was spot on !

We had Sunday lunch. For the money we paid (£14 per head for one course) I would have expected more for my money. One type of potato, choice of 2 meats, and very little veg. The food itself was lovely but no way was it worth £14. Not somewhere to go if you’re really hungry

I don’t drink wine, so I was disappointed that no wine alternative was available for the steak night. A swap for a pint of lager would’ve been fine - not everyone drinks wine!
