great service - on time and friendly and informative

Who knew a journey into York would be so hilarious, most taxi drivers of York don't engage or talk to you no matter how hard you try or act like a fool. What banter! Thanks to the driver of the Blue Ford Mondeo Reg KG57*** taking us to see fake Adele at the Opera house. What a guy!

We’ve used Getaway for group bookings and the usual rides. Always on time, great staff on the phones and in he cars. Firm of choice now for taxis in and around York.

Visitors to York and needed a taxi... Fabulous driver and great service. Thank you will use again

Nothing but a big thanks to this company.. always bang on time.. lovely friendly drivers.. good rates.. and even better when a driver pulled up last week in a Leeds shirt MOT.. we use them for our work clientele and they're always spot on.��

Left my keys in the back of the car, man from the office was brilliant at locating the driver and the keys and making sure that I got them back ASAP� always quick and friendly drivers, thanks

Will never ride with them again! Extremely poor costumer service!!! I do not recommend this taxi company to anyone!! Dreadful!!!

One of their delightful drivers allowed and almost encouraged his daughters to litter all over KFC. I emailed the company to make them aware and received the following responds:



"Many thanks Mr Broderick here at Getaway Cars we take this sort of thing very seriously, we have looked into the matter and found that this isnt the only incident with this driver, as we have just had a similar e-mail from a group of Mallard Ducks at York University Lake regarding the same driver and his children littering large quantities of Hovis bread into University Lake. We will make a disciplinary decision in the next few days after consulting our Salt and Pepper Division. Many Thanks."



This clown clearly thinks he's funny. Shame the jokes on him and his poor excuse for a company.
