Went last night and had a steak and my partner had a burger. Both meals were served piping hot and were lovely. The staff are friendly and we enjoy going here for a meal! Thank you for looking after us

We were lucky enough to try the new menu tonight for free! From start to finish the meal was lovely, freshly cooked and tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly and the portions were huge! A massive thank you to the manager for great service and to the chefs who cooked our meals�

We held my Mother in Law's wake here yesterday and the service and kindness I received from all staff was amazing.

From the minute I messaged they were so helpful and friendly. The room was a great size for a small gathering - we had around 30. The buffet food was fantastic and many of the guests commented on the quality of it.

All in all, the staff were very attentive throughout the time we were there. I would certainly use this venue again for any occasions in the future.

Called in on my way to the theatre for tea with a friend . Had the meal deal of 2 for £7.50 , we both had the fish and chips , it was a very generous portion and lovely and hot ( very good value for money )

A party of 16 (plus high chair) of us have just been in for my son's 6th Birthday tea. The staff really looked after us since our first call to book. All meals came out quickly even though it was busy. Great service & food! Thank you to all of you x ��

Menu looked tempting and the place was quite busy it was new years day also. Ordered the chicken steak combo . The steak was lovely and cooked just right but the chicken didn't look appealing it was quite dry and was only just warm. Chips were very tasty I asked for peas as an extra amd this was no trouble . Staff were polite and helpful and a great atmosphere all round we had a pudding and that was really nice too. My 3 star rating is because of the chicken and the pudding came in a massive flat tin dish thing and didn't get much custard but overall would visit again if in the area

Eaten here a few times.....not bad pub food...had the chick tasic....or what ever it was called yesterday.....the half chicken was very tasty and moist....the chicken kebab was nice if a little dry...the southern fried chicken was edible...the chips and onion rings were ok...the gravy was tasteless and the corn on the cob was stone cold. But besides that it’s all average will eat there again but wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there when there’s a lot of other pubs doing it better

We went yesterday for Sunday afternoon lunch and a couple of drinks we ordered our food and was waiting 45 minutes for it to arrive even though it wasn't busy and wen the food did arrive it was not very nice my stepdaughters sizzling skillet was not even sizzling and the rest of our meals was not very warm and it was very dry and the peas wer all shrivelled up

We also found it a little hit and miss. The rump steak my wife got looked like a burnt meat ball. I know we like it well done but it was black. It’s very clean. The staff are very kind. Just need consistency 😊

But would bring some more, when they finally brought some 10 minutes later I had already eaten my food as didn't want it cold. AND we definitely did not get a full portion judging by the 2 portions they brought out later....it's a no from me!

But last night was by far the worst, never in my life have i had to send food back to the chef because its unedible. The steak tasted of burnt plastic, the taste is still in my mouth a day later. It was awful. The onions nearly make me vomit because they tasted that bad. Normally i will eat it because im hungry but last night it was just awful, i physically couldnt do it. I ordered a starter,a steak and a side of onion rings. I sent back the steak as it was unedible and i received a 50% refund from the cost of the steak because i got £5 off my entire order, even though i ordered more than just my steak they thought making me pay £5 for my meal was an effiecient enough way to deal with it even though i didnt eat it and i sent it back. I still paid £5 for that pleasure. And the skillet wasnt even sizzling.

She tried to blame it on the skillet why it tasted so bad. But one of our friends had it on a plate. And it was still just as bad. So her response was just ‘oh i dunno then i dont like the skillets’ really professional.

I am absolutely appauled they think they can decide that because the meal was just shocking. I will not be returning to this place for food again. Absolutely disgusting.

The table behind us had dirty dishes and glasses all over it for atleast 30 minutes before anyone decided to clear it away. Even though people had walked by and seen it. Nothing was done.

We wasnt asked how our starters were as my friends who we went with had chicken drumsticks and they were rock solid. Food was awful last night.

Then the ‘pub quiz’ came on just when i thought the night couldnt get any worse, even though we was sat in the back, they had the loudest speaker behind us just to make sure we couldnt hear each other speak. Its just rude not everyone goes to the pub for a bloody quiz. We was in the back room. They should have quiet spaces for people who want to talk to their company.

Then when we went to the toilet one of the ladies toilets didnt even have a bloody toilet seat. It was like being in a run down club in town that cant be bothered to fix things. Its meant to be a family fun pub! I was ashamed to of taken my friends there, never mind a family.

Management needs a reality check on their standards as it was just attrocious.
