came into for a lunch with my husband and the little girl i look after. When i went to order i had to wait as no staff member around than a young girl served me i paid but no receipt given even though i asked just got to replay. we waited about 15mins when food arrived it was warm not pipping hot and my onion rings were missing of my meal and my partner was missing his coleslaw plus our meals came out together but had to wait another five for the childs to arrive. When the waitress came back i told her about the missing items n she just said ok ill ho get them no apology five mins later she came back with missing items n asked if everything was ok(we had only just started eating) i also asked if we could have a spoon for the little girl as the forks were far to big for her and they brought out a baby spoon which for a two year old was far too small so i think it would be great to see some children’s cutlery in future.

after we finished i had to go find a staff member to ask if we could have the childs ice cream as we were in a bit of a rush so couldnt stay to long for a waitress to say o ill see if its ready luckily it was brought out within ten mins. Over all the meal and staff members could of been better wont be rushing back anytime soon

Thought we would give our recently refurbished local another try on a fairly quiet night but was disappointed by several issues 1: had to remind the staff we had ordered about 40 minutes ago for food yet still not been served and yet people who came in after us had been 2: although great to see a dedicated gluten free menu the chef obviously not sure as my meal came minus a poppadom and chutney. Had to ask for these to come. 3: my 13 year old went to the toilet and I noted the one she went in did not have a handle on the outside so she got stuck in the toilet and I struggled to get her out. We were offered drinks or puddings because of the Wait but was pushed for time. Feel sorry for the staff as they were very polite but obviously stretched.

We came here today for food 3 adults and 5 kids waited over 40 mins for food (we were not told on ordering it was a long wait)

When food arrived all the kids meals were cold and 2 pizzas over cooked. The 3 adults meals were supposed to b sizzlers they were not even hot let alone sizzling. 1 of the kids meals never came out we asked a member of staff where it was they said they would go check, we then waited for them to cook the full meal which they had forgotten to make with the original order. I ended up going to the kitchen door to ask where it was as noone had been to inform us they were cooking it. While I was waiting for the kids meal I had to Leave my meal to then get cold!! I asked to see a manager twice she didn’t come and see me. Eventually when a member of staff cleared our table she asked if the manger had been to see me I told her no so she went again to find her.

The duty manager finally came over we explained what happened and she said she would refund the 1 child’s meal. Ended up with £10 refund. Although I was refunded part of the bill I won’t be back anytime soon. Bad customer service and bad food

The table next to us waited 40 mins just for an Ice cream sundae!

Myself my partner and 12 year old daughter came In Thursday tea time around 5 and didn't get any tea because the restaurant area was full to bursting and the over 18s bar was empty. My gripe is they have virtually halved the size of the pub. I understand the need for an over 18s area but surely it could start later ie around 7 or 8 as at tea time it's mostly families that come for In for food and there is not enough room to accommodate them. So we ended up going elsewhere. I've been a local of this pub and want to support it but the new changes are not for the better.
