Wow wow Wow!!!!Vegan Fish and Chips!!....my daughter recommended coming as she and her hubby had it and loves it!!!....very highly reccomend!!!♡♡....too full otherwise I would've treat myself and my son to the vegan Bakewell tart-And it comes with vegan ice cream!!!....wonderful!��

Was my first visit and was worried about what I could have as I'm on slimming world but the woman taking my order was very accomadating as I asked too swap some foods around.had the large gammon gridled. Pineapple peas. and swapped chips for plain jkt,and onion rings for side salad.well impressed.service was swift and meal was delicious. Will definitely returnnn

Visited last night with a friend for tea. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised with both the food and surroundings. Food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh. Had cheese and onion pie-was the best pastry I have had in a while and I give bonus points for peas that weren't boiled to within an inch of their life as at most chain pubs! Great value for money. Will be back �

Came for food and drinks last night for belated Xmas do, it was busy but food came out quickly and was hot. The cheeseburger was probably the best pub burger I’ve had! Nice and juicy with burger sauce! Only criticism is I’d like more fries as they were lovely and I paid for an extra burger that I didn’t ask for but over all very good and still deserves 5 �

Been here as a family for dinner as well as to start a day out drinking and can honestly say we get great service every time! Friendly staff who are keen to help where possible as well as amazing prices and tasty food! � ����

Always have a good experience when we come here. Food is always good and staff are great. The value for money is a welcome bonus too �

After been to wood field farm and getting a very disappointing meal. I was given a voucher witch i used today but after haveing trouble with the voucher the managers were very helpful and sorted the meal out the food was excellent staff were excellent especially the main manager could not be happier puts wood field farm to shame � thank you again

Food and beer were good but place could do with better heating I know it was cold outside but didn't expect to eat in my coat as it was cold inside.

The service was good to say very busy, I ordered the chicken baguette ,there was hardly any filling in it which made it dry so would not reccomend this

Popped in yesterday for something to eat with my partner n 2yo son.No ice for the 2 glasses of coke n got a fruit shoot for my son.Why are they not kept in a fridge? Ordered food well tried to wanted the porky platter but unfortunately wasn't available so went for the gammon instead.Asked for a onion ring horse shoe but apparently not enough onion rings can only order it as a side order.Without sounding tight why pay just over £2 for 5 when you can get 20 for a fiver to share.Anyway food came my gammon was over cooked,not much point in complaining as it would of ment waiting around for another while the others ate.My partners chicken skewers were nice even though you didn't have the BBQ sauce she wanted so had the sweet chilli.On the plus side my son ate all his lasagne plus cheesy garlic bread and the lad who brought the food offered to return the chicken skewers to the kitchen or stand holding them till my partner cut up my son's food

Visited the Hungry Horse today after shopping around Doncaster with my partner. My parents visit here at least once a week and actually love it and this is why I was surprised by the outcome. The pub and staff are both very pleasant and can't fault the layout and how clean the inside is. However and it is big however the food or drink was not up to scratch. It's probably our fault as I'm sure if we had complained about all this at the end the problem would had been rectified. To start with I ordered a pint of coke to be served a partially filled glass of flat coke (it was worse than Taybarns). I did take the glass back and the gentleman behind the bar was happy to Re pour me another - I did ask for a bottle instead which they gave me no problem (I was given diet coke strangely). Sits back down with my partner to have found the coffee she had ordered was luke warm and was drank within seconds. We didn't complain and both shared my coke. Our starters came out, two portions of bacon popcorn, it was fine, nothing to rave about but ok. Atleast 30% of my popcorn had no inners to it and had burnt but this isn't a problem - I'm starving. Again I can't moan just how quick the food was cleared from the table and onto the mains we went. I had the new York chicken, it was not too bad but the fries were cold. Moving onto the bacon burger that what ordered, my partner was revolted by how greasy it was, to the point were the bottom of the bread is soggy. I mean I understand beef and bacon are fatty meats but this looked like it had been popped straight on the bun from the pan. The side of coleslaw that came with this meal was laughable and would have fit on a tea spoon. On the bright side the dressed side salad we ordered to share was delightful. We did leave before our plates were removed as to not cause embarrassment for ourselves or the waiting staff that quite frankly were perfect throughout. Extremely disappointed in the food that was served to us today.

Normally love it in here and go in 3 times a week due to having meetings in that area. Went in Sunday I had steak sizzler and a friend had the all day breakfast, the breakfast was dry as if it had been under a heat lamp since breakfast. The place as had no heating all of last week so we had to sit with our coats on just to keep warm, very uncomfortable. Our meals we're cold within minutes due to the building being cold. I've worked in the hospitality industry all my life and if our heating went down we provided back up heaters or closed down. We had only had 2 bites of food before we had a check back ( too soon ) didn't complain because they obviously weren't going to do anything about the chill in the air. Disappointed this time sorry. Will return when you sort your heating system out, not fair on customers or staff. On a positive note my steak was cooked to perfection bit went cold very quickly.

Called in for lunch yesterday,my order was wrong after confirming twice at the till when ordering,my husband's serlion take had what I can only describe as a teaspoon of tiny mushrooms (I did ask the waitress about this but was told"oh I'm new so I don't know"� then my 5year old daughter order rice with her kids meal,the menu didn't say it contained carrots so she left it all! Disappointing as we do visit fairly regular.

Called in for a few drinks and then some food but all menus were sticky and stuck together it’s also more expensive for food than my local hungry horse? We ended up going elsewhere for food but to be fair the others around Doncaster were even worse so we ended up going home for food instead! It would have been a 1 star but gave it 2 as it’s better than the other pubs........

absolutely atrocious customer service . called in for breakfast. scrambled eggs slimey and eggs on my breakfast not cooked burnt toast. was told by the guy who fetched our food that the manage liked the eggs cooked that way. shocked at his reply. as previous food in there been great

Not that I don't like the place but certain members of staff need to remember its a family friendly pub so shouting across the bar to each other about STDs an how they make there own tuna an cheese then pointing at there genitals an laughing about it disgusting this was alound to go on for an hour before I said something about it the shift manager or who ever he was wasn't that boverd either as he was joining in think his name was Kenny the waitress was called Courtney when I eventually complained the shift manager or supervisor what ever he was denied been involved and didn't give a stuff basically !! I doubt we would eat here again but may have drinks after all I'd dread to think we're the cheese is from not to mention the tuna also after complaining the group of lads who were sat at a table with your waitress Courtney had passed comment on how they were going to jump me when I left ( ie attack me) not that they did I'm glad we changed our mind and left the kids with a sitter and didn't bring them after the behaviour we witnessed !! This happend on Thursday 8th march between 8 and half 9 if you'd like to check your camera's to back up my story you'll see me put my head between the wall an table to ask which 1 of them would like to come an jump me first as I thought they were all mouth !!

I went for a meal on Wednesday and ordered 5 meals at 1843hrs i got a txt from my daughter saying she is running late minutes after it went through the till so at 1846hrs i went to the member of staff that served me to explain this i asked how long the food was going to be the reply was about 15 mins so i then asked if we could have the food at 1915hrs to give a little time for my daughter to arrive the member of staff said I'll go and tell the kitchen now do you want all 5 meals to come at the same time he asked to which i replied yes we want to all eat together i then returned to my table then at 1858hrs all 5 dishes were served thats 15 minutes from paying for it at the till to the senior staff who served it at the table i went about explaining that i had asked if it could not be ready until 1915hrs she just was not interesred stating we can't do anything about it after the order has gone through the till and she knew nothing about it i approached the member of staff who went to the kitchen and he said the chef said NO but didn't come over to me to say as such well the staff just didn't care finally the senior staff member begrudgingly said we can put the dish under the heat lamp to keep it warm but i explained we wanted to eat together so all 5 dishes would of had to go there i declined the offer as this just dries everything out. My point being 3 minutes after ordering the food the chef was NOT willing to delay my food order for 15 mins no communication came back to myself that this couldn't be done until the food was served and talk about a total lack of customer skills the senior staff who brought out the meals just didn't care and proceeded to engage in a raised voice attitude that i am sure the Hungry Horse chain would just be embarrassed to witness ���.

I got very ill after eating here so bad I had to have a gp out made the company aware so unhelpful all I kept getting if we look forward to seeing you in our pub again I will never go here again I was so ill and no help after very disappointing
