Isle Choral Singers Description

The Isle Choral Society was founded in 1981 as an evening class by Peter Carter with a group of around twenty singers who came together about three times a year to give performances for friends and subscribers. Since then there have been a number of musical directors and more regular rehearsals and performances.

The Society has grown both in numbers and stature and 35 years later we have approximately 40 members.

The Choral Society has four main concert venues, namely the parish churches of St Nicholas at Haxey, St Martin’s at Owston Ferry, St Andrew’s at Epworth and also the All Saints Church, Belton.

The Isle Choral Society meets every Monday evening during term-time in the Imperial Hall, Chapel Street, Epworth. Rehearsals are from 7. 00 pm until 9. 00 pm.

No audition is required and membership is open to all ages and abilities – with an ability to read music helpful but not essential.

If you enjoy singing a wide variety of music this is the Choir for you! ! !

Ours is a friendly and welcoming society with a range of social activities throughout the year. We are always aiming to increase our membership particularly men [both bass and tenor]

We aim to produce at least three Concerts per year, with dates arranged near Easter, mid-summer and near Christmas.
