About Kinesisdance
We offer regular STREET, CONTEMPORARY, LYRICAL & MUSICAL THEATRE Dance classes from age *4yrs up to Adults* in York. We also provide Dance in Education (School-based) & private Wedding First Dance Tuition.
Kinesisdance Description
The Street Dance class involves learning authentic techniques in all areas of Street Dance: Popping, Locking, Hip Hop and Breakdance. Each week we build on skills and work towards a completed routine.
The Contemporary Dance class also works on developing techniques and choreography and we aim to work creatively and collaboratively towards a completed dance to a variety of music.
The NEW Dance Fitness class is suitable for all ages and abilities and comprises of an energetic warm up, followed by a complete dance routine to popular music learnt each week. As each week is different, this class would suit people who cannot commit to attend each week (although you are more than welcome to! )
In addition to dance classes, I also teach bespoke Wedding First Dances, Hen Parties and Special Occasion Dances.

A big well done to the 4 new additions to 'Reflection' this term - it was time to move up from 'Vision' and they've already stepped up to the challenge!

So excited to be involved again in this awesome event! Working with some amazing youngsters from Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy this year!
Woww what an amazing woman Helen is we carnt thank you enough for all your hard work with me and Rob. me and my husband wanted to do a surprise first dance for our wedding and we came to Helen with no experience of dancing at all. Helen was amazing and she was so patient and very professional. My husband wasn't to sure on the idea at first but meeting Helen made him feel at ease because she made us feel so relaxed. She did a alot with the songs we had chosen and she put all the music together for us which takes some time to do. The dance routine was just amazing and perfect. You made our wedding day that bit more fantastic and special because of all your hard work and help all the way threw. We would 100 percent recommend Helen such a lovely genuine person. Thank you so much again all our love the new Mr & MRS Pallister (Charlotte and rob) xxx
Ruby really enjoys the classes and also loved the summer workshop she can't wait for the next one thank you Helen and janine
My daughter was desperate to have a dance party for her 6th birthday. Helen was able to come and do this. My daughter got to choose her favourite song and Helen taught the children a dance routine to this. She mixed up the dancing with some games which we provided the prizes for. She was able to keep the kids engaged and my daughter loves it!
My daughter has just done a three day workshop with these guys and loved every minute last day performance was fantastic saw them at the appolo festival were they did a workshop there and were brilliant with the kids
Monday night is the best night of my week, hitting the week off with contemporary dancing, energises me for the week ahead. Helen is a great teacher and very patient. Not having ever done group dancing before I was a bit sceptical but absolutely love it, Helen works extra hard keeping us all together as we are different levels and it's amazing when it comes together. The class has a good vibe and everyone is friendly and welcoming.
Joining Helen's contemporary dance class is the best thing I've done in 2016. Beautiful routines to Take Me to Church and Elastic Heart. Even the warm ups are choreographed and fun. Anyone can pick it up yet there's enough challenge to improve. Thanks Helen!! xx
Helen's Monday night Contemporary class is brilliant, I love the choreography and she is a really patient and skilled teacher. I always have a good time whilst feeling I've learnt something too. Would definitely recommend!
Helen is so great with all the girls & boys. My 2 girls love going to their street dance classes !!
