Coach Sam and Kixx have been in for taster sessions at a few of our settings recently and it was a resounding thumbs up from our Rascals! We are putting plans in action for Sam to come back regularly and will keep you all updated - watch this space!

Have you heard about 'Loose Parts'? The Busy Bumblebees at Tadcaster Road have started introducing loose parts into our play; as you can see the possibilities are endless...and this is just the beginning!
Loose parts are open ended resources that to the untrained eye are just 'junk' or 'scrap' but to the open mind of a child can be anything and everything! They allow for deep engagement in play as children experiment, create and explore in their own unique ways and on their o...wn terms!

Wow! 20 years of The Gruffalo and now he's going global!! Keep your eyes peeled......

The rascals in Cheeky Hens at Elvington helped paint coloured tubes using different sized paintbrushes to practice and develop their fine motor skills. As they did this we talked about the size and shape of the tubes. Once they had dried we stuck them to the wall and encouraged the children to sort the pom poms into colours and drop them down the correct colour tube. The rascals all had so much fun.

Wonderful nursery with lovely staff and brilliant facilities. Amazing food, forest school and yoga lessons easily make this the best nursery in York!!

We are new to the area and our daughter was originally at another nursery. For various reasons, we moved her here. Only wish she had been here from day one. Never seen her so happy.

We are at the newer Flaxton addition, taken over a year ago by LGR and it’s a fabulous place. The place has been transformed into a stunning setting, which my girls love. The staff go above and beyond for each child, there is no messing, the child comes first every single time. My eldest leaves and goes to big school this September, and I was told today they are managing the full transition, even taking her on her first visit, with a return visit for observation from the school. They have it sorted, and we can not praise enough.

We are absolutely thrilled with Little Green Rascals, the staff are all amazing and our little girl genuinely loves going to nursery and she's developed so much going there. The variety of things they do everyday amaze me, there is no way I could do all of this at home, couldn't recommend highly enough.

Totally amazing nursery, team and setting. My lb has been there since he was 10 months old and graduates for school this summer. The teams loving nature and ethos is second to non. Our lb has progressed so much, has a great time with some great friends and has such a strong bond with them all. With forest school, art, music, and lots of learn through play and out door activities this really is an fantastic nursery. And... The food is amazing !!!

I cannot praise LGR Tadcaster Road enough. My two girls have both attended since they were one and love it.



LGR has with fantastic facilities, a focus on child-led play, terrific organic food, plenty of additional activities and forest school. However, by far the most important element has been the staff, who routinely go above and beyond to provide tailored care and develop a real, meaningful bond with the children they care for.



My oldest girl is now on her way to school in September and LGR have taken an active and supportive approach to the transition. She's been so happy at LGR for the past three years, and we could not have asked for a better start for her. Thank you.

I can't praise this nursery enough! My little girl loves it.the staff are just fantastic and genuinely care, they put me at ease from day one of leaving her. The food sounds and smells amazing, and I love the weekly emails that send a recipe out too.i honestly wish I could join my little girl most days instead of having to go to work!

Fab nursery one of the best!!. Could not ask for a better place to work it's like my second family!!. ❤️
