User

You will not be disappointed if you come here, lovely cosy pub. Food was delicious & fairly priced. The staff were friendly & welcoming. It's been about 3 years since I last came here, due to moving away, but it's up there now with being one of my new haunts. Oh... dogs are welcome too. 🐶👍🏼🍷🍽

User

We were kindly invited back by the manager and I am so glad we were. Once again the food was excellent (if you go try the onion rings - OMG amazing!) perfectly cooked and the standard of the food is superb. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was completely different. It's actually refreshing to see a business listen to and respond to customer feedback - THANK YOU! We will definitely be back in the future and would recommend The Malt to anyone wanting a posh pub meal at 'Yorkshire' prices.

User

We had a perfect afternoon after our walk stopping here for a drink and to let the kids play on the bouncy castle in the lovely grounds. The only feedback I have is that the kids menu wasn't specific enough over what came with the meals. A burger in a bun came with cheese which wasn't stated on the menu which caused a few problems with our son and a wasted meal. It wasn't a deal breaker for us never returning however because the food wasn't excellent quality and the rest of us hugely enjoyed our meals, the atmosphere and service was superb and we really enjoyed it.

User

Superb food the steak and ale pie was to die for. Staff really friendly and polite. All after a steady if muddy walk which was also good. We will be back

User

Lovely vintage pub with massive beer garden. Fab menu - we've eaten here many times and the food is always delicious.

User

Had the most delicious lunch today (having not visited for food in some time). Kids meal deal options were brilliant and to top it off, they were given an Easter egg when leaving too. Such a lovely touch. Great service and overall value for money. We will most certainly be back again soon. Happy Easter xx

User

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch a few weeks ago, it was so good we booked Christmas Day lunch

User

Had a some lovely meals recently and seems to have become our Sunday regular. Kids love the relaxed atmosphere, parents love the 2 min walk home! Sure we will have more ..... one small piece of feedback would be for The Malt to ensure they are being attentive when it's really busy.

User

Had a lovely lunch here, sat in the sunshine, good value for money, & good service. Will be back.

User

Had a fabulous meal, was tempted by the pie and pint deal and so glad we did!!! The portion was really good and would have paid more for the deal, pie was gorgeous and had dessert of banoffee pie, will be visiting again shortly and hope to be able to get in front of one of the real fires again to let the food settle when we next visit.

User

Food, wine and service excellent. A must if you are in the area

User

After walking round the waterfalls yesterday stopped off to have a deserving lunch I had the hot roast beef sandwich in ciabatta side salad and fries my husband had steak pie it was absolutely beautiful I would definitely recommend it.

User

Was pleased with the meal but the drinks were very expensive.

User

Had a very pleasant lunch on New Years Eve dispute the 3 hour power cut just before opening.

The food was very good and the host was very accommodating. We had my 3 young nephews with us and they gave The Malt 3 big thumbs up.

Will definitely go back!!

User

Had a fantastic salmon and avocado salad which was lovely & fresh. Prosecco and cappuccino sat out in the fab beer garden really enjoyed.

User

A friendly pub in beautiful scenery with sound from a waterfall(?) in the distance=heaven on a sunny afternoon. We visited with the family dog as were many others, She was made welcome being given a water bowl for in the beer garden. An enjoyable hour well spent!

User

We called in at tea time, starving. Staff very friendly. I had the steak and ale pie, my husband had the fish and chips. Both meals were very nice though a little on the cool side, plus, my husbands plate hadn't been warmed at all. This won't stop us from visiting again, we are believers in second chances.

User

One waitress was appalling! No smile, could hardly hear her and she glared at us whilst taking our order!

Pie was a let down and over cooked but got it took off the bill, was sat in the bar area next to a busy door way and the long seat cushion was really loose. Extremely let down
