Merit Taxis in Wickersley, Rotherham was established January 2016 with the aim to improve the standard currently on offer and to become one of the best taxi companies in Rotherham.
The taxi industry in Rotherham was in the spotlight due to the Child Sexual Exploitation case and the council had to make some tough new changes in order to try and increase the overall standard. We saw this as a great opportunity to launch a new company with high standards that was reliable and honest which all came really easy to us as these are already our core values.
We use quality, clean and modern vehicles with a competative pricing policy and believe we have got the mix just right as customers expect a certain standard at a reasonable price which they are struggling to achieve elsewhere.
We were also the first company to comply with the council policy on CCTV and was interviewed and featured in the Rotherham Advertiser.
We are rapidly growing every day and one of our main issues is finding the right drivers with the right vehicles to continue to grow our business without compromising on our values so please bear with us in our early stages if we are unable to fulfil last minute bookings. Were possible always try and book early to avoid disappointment.
All of our drivers at Merit Taxis in Wickersley hold a full U. K driving licence, a Rotherham Council Taxi badge and have had an extended DBS check carried out on them. They are undertaking or in most circumstances have already completed the NVQ or BTEC course in Taxi driving and attended a Safeguarding course.
They are all insured and covered by Public Liability Insurance.
