Well me and my family all had a meal last Wednesday the food was lovely and I have to say loved every minute of it staff was excellent this is the second time we have been here and would definitely be back

Myself and my boyfriend visited here last night, my boyfriend has several allergies and the girl who was serving us was fab! She made sure everything was safe for him to eat and tripled checked what was in the food! Everything we asked for came perfect and came in good timing! We couldn't of asked for better customer service. We have already agreed we will return.

My Partner Surprised Me Today For My 30th Birthday With A Trip To York � (124miles) And We Stumbled Across This Little Jem Of A Restaurant � The Food Was Spot On and The Staff We’re Very Welcoming Too!! Would Highly Recommend This Restaurant!! Thanks Laura and Betty xxx

Lovely place and fantastic food, the steak was cooked to perfection succulent and melted in the mouth, very impressed

Just had our staff Christmas party here on Friday and was fantastic. The organisation right through from booking to the night was top notch. The team were all very friendly and approachable and a pleasure to talk to. The food was all lovely and very tasty. The steak gravy was so packed with flavour. I asked if they could put my steak back on for a bit longer and they were very graceous and helpful. Can not rate it high enough. Will definitely return. The whole team are a credit to the company.

Great food, great service, and a great view of the river. Unlike other Stonegate establishments in the area that let the brand down (i.e The Graduate), this place does it proud, keep up the good work.

Been here a few times with my husband, friendly staff & gorgeous food. We've just been with our kids & decided to let them sample the food & it was a thumbs up from them also. Gorgeous view overlooking the water & sat in comfy chairs.

Staff great, food ok, fish was frozen, not fresh. The wifes steak, ordered medium well done was medium rare, pink through most of it. Limited ale choice (1), great for lager drinkers, which we are not. It says on website no party paraphenalia etc. We were sat next to a group of shouty teenage girls on a birthday night, and there were balloons, oh well. It was ok, but I dont think we will return

It was lovely but disappointed the valentines special menu had two fish dishes on it. There should have been a meat choice so ended up ordering off the main menu

I didn't have a drink in here but those I was with did. The place is nice and open with views over the river which was nice. It was really busy for a Saturday afternoon but not too busy. The atmosphere was good not too loud. I would go again.

Food was ok, lady that served us was very pleasant, nice looking over the river as we Had a window seat. Second visit for us

I often come here after work for 2 4 1 cocktails with my friends. Great value for money and the staff is super too but the place is just not very clean. The tables are always really sticky ditto the bar. Wanted to sit outside overlooking the river yesterday as it was a beautiful afternoon but the outside sofa was filthy and covered in stains and again, the table was sticky and the ashtray was overflowing. Such a shame as I love the place.

Food was ok, nothing earth shattering though! View from our table was great as right on the river but it was freezing. We asked about some heating and were told that they couldn’t put any heating in because it’s a listed building. Really? What was that big heating/air con unit right above our table then?! As I said, food was ok but won’t be returning anytime soon to eat in the cold.

Food ok . Staff lovely . The place was freezing and the toilets were disgusting. .won't go again .far better places to spend your evening in York

Turned away for wearing festive hats and accessories (which we easily could have taken off). Thought it was a fun bar last time I went there but they are clearly against having festive fun...won't be going back.
