We stopped off for a £3 lunch meal deal on the way to Flamborough Head. Perfectly lovely store with beautiful ornate metalwork on the portico.

Autism hour today was amazing.

I have a daughter who refers to herself as being socially awkward and who also has numerous sensory issues. Usually shopping is a harrowing experience and I end up stressed to the max. The combination of music, sudden tannoy announcements, noisy trolleys being wheeled around and unloaded, staff shouting at each other and bright lights is usually a recipe for disaster. Today, however, despite having just been for hair cuts (another sensory experience) we managed to shop peacefully and without stress.

The tannoys are off, the music is off, the lights are dimmed, there are few staff doing chores and those who are there are taking quietly or whispering to each other. The whole atmosphere was calm.

Please please can we make these a regular thing, especially over the school holidays, as it will make life that little bit easier for families with autistic children, autistic adults and I am sure lots of other groups in society.

Thank you

Our weekly main shop is at Morrison's, what can I say, it's a supermarket and everything you'd expect from one.

Me & my husband love your create your own pizzas, buying a few times a month. They are gorgeous, BUT lately some of the staff @ our local Scunthorpe store making them are being very measly & frugal with the toppings! They say they have to use “the scoop” & if we want a bit more, we have to pay extra!.....now, don’t get me wrong, the pizzas are delicious & I understand you need portion control, BUT the size of “the scoop” is bloody ridiculous!.....We haven’t had a problem in the past, as staff have always put an acceptable amount of topping without using “the scoop”! We shop every 2 weeks at our local store, but lately, the pizza toppings with certain staff are beyond a joke! So, dear Morrison’s, please review your ridiculous scoop portion control! Even if you have to raise the price a little to allow for an acceptable portion, the pizzas would still be great value! What happened to pleasing the customer? Your scoop portion idea is ridiculous as different toppings are chopped different sizes meaning you get more or less of a chosen topping! We wouldn’t want to go elsewhere for our Pizzas, so please think about sending a memo to ALL staff a revised, reasonable portion control of toppings! We enjoy your pizzas, but it’s getting beyond a joke now with “the scoop”!!

This evening I visited your scunthorpe Lake side store to only leave feeling disappointed and disgusted at the service I received at the “make your own” pizza counter. My boyfriend had already decided he was having pizza so he made his way over to the lady serving and placed his order, as it was later in the day there wasn't much selection from the ready made pizzas. I stood and watched her make his pizza. The staff member put her ungloved hand from the pulled ham to the sweetcorn I turned to look at my boyfriend and he knew straight away what I was thinking. After she had finshed making his pizza she looked at me and I said “I was going to get a pizza but I'm a vegetarian and I've just seen you put your bare hand in the ham and then into the non meat products with out using a spoon” her response was that the spoons were for measuring and she shrugged her shoulders.

I would like a response to the following:

1. if the spoon are for measuring why weren’t they used for measuring?

2. Is it Morrison policy to use bare hands to handle fresh food produce?

3. What is the Morrison’s policy to ensure that vegetarians are able to feel secure that meat does not touch non-meat products? I can only think that you do not have such policies OR your Scunthorpe staff require extra training!

Overall I am appalled by the general way in which this food was prepared, if I had not of noticed her flippant approach to food preparation, I would have eaten food that had touched meat which takes away my right to choose to be vegetarian and quite frankly that concerns me deeply and furthermore the very low level of customer service I was then faced with.

I am disappointed with the service in this store, I have been shopping so many times and it was not a problem until today. My partner today has been racistly treated as an ID card from another country.
