When we came up from Bristol to visit my sister we came here on our last day. My daughter loved it! Such a great place for all ages and had to make a special mention of this - my daughter left her very special bunny comforter here by accident and thankfully it had been found and was posted back to us by the museum with an amazing letter with various photos of bunny enjoying the museum but missing his owner. Totally above and beyond. Thank you National Science and Media Museum, we love you and will be visiting everytime we come back and will tell all our friends about you as well.

When as a family. Was great fun and interesting to my son who’s doing media gcse. Well worth a visit. Take some change for the retro games room!

User

We took a 10 year old and a 2 year old and they both really enjoyed there day there. Plenty to see and do for all ages. In fact we spent far longer inside than we expected too. Would definitely recommend as a good family day out

User

Very very hot, maybe cool it down a bit? Not for the tall either. Leg room a challenge but spotless and a great view!! Definitely be returning

Took my 4 year old daughter for the first time and spent 3 happy hours here, literally having to drag her out of the internet section because I had lost the ability to carry on explaining new concepts to her. It’s a stimulating day out, the Wonderlab section caught her attention as was all about sound and light, I re- learnt stuff I’d forgotten years ago plus loads of new stuff too. Good cafe, healthy snacks. We got the bus pretty much right to it. And it’s free. We donated because who would want this to disappear. We will come back soon!

This was my first ever visit to this museum.

I went with my husband and 9 year old daughter who is autistic and loves science internet gaming and history. It was fantastic. Loads to do touch and feel. Well laid out on different levels and rooms giving the feeling of space with some privacy. Best bits and most surprising were the history of photography, gaming with old game consoles and machines which you could play on, and life online. We spent 5 hours in the museum with a lovely lunch. Food was very good and seating arrangements was made easy as they showed you to a table. Reasonable priced and a good choice.

They don't have their own parking so council car parks near by. Sunday £2 all day behind museum. We were so impressed we have a £10 donation to keep this little Yorkshire gem alive.

Well stocked gift shop and sweet/drink stand.

Three Imax/wrap round cinemas which we did not visit but will deffo do next time.

Bradford looks beautiful on a night with all the attractive lights. We also loved the Baby of The North outside if you can spot it.

I took my son to see Early man today at the pictureville and had a little time to walk about before the film started, we made a pre historic hogs from the film out of plasticine. When going in there were 2 young men helping out directing people what to do and they we’re really polite, friendly and helpful it’s really nice when people smile and actually care about what they’re doing. After we had finished we went to get some popcorn and drinks but the card machine had broken so I was taken to another part of the building to pay for it all and again the staff so polite and friendly.

When we got into the pictureville we was seated and met by a lovely girl called Siobhan who did a presentation and explanation of now the film was made which was absolutely brilliant she was happy cheery and very confident in what she was saying and doing and even chose my little boy to help out in the dinosaur dance off : )

Overall very happy visit today and can not wait to come back for the next exhibit you’ve got on x

User

Great day out today with my 6 & 4 year olds...the Wonderlab was fab! Will deffo be back to look at the other exhibitions in more detail...had a browse round the animation one and loved seeing some old favourite tv characters like Zippy & George and The Wombles! The Internet exhibition looked good too especially all the old computers thru the years. And I loved the gaming bit...never thought my girls would play those old games! Oh and the food was good too!

User

Fabulous place. We stayed for 6 hours...Still more to see! Amazing to have such a resource with free entry. There were some technical glitches when we arrived in the morning (11 Feb) but they were dealt with by a very efficient duty manager. Thank you - it meant my two boys got to see Andy from Aardman which they absolutely loved!

User

Came with my 3 children (9 months, 4 years and 5 years) and the eldest 2 had a fantastic time in the wonder lab exhibition. We spent at least an hour in that 1 room. They were also fascinated by the old computers and telephones. Staff really friendly and helpful when we needed them. I was surprised at how long we ended up staying.

An amazing visit to the Museum's Gamers Festival. The festival fell on the weekend of my son's 9th birthday so we decided to take him and his friends as his 'party'. While taking part in the Minecraft session (which they all LOVED!), I happened to mention we were there for my son's birthday as I was concerned that we wouldn't find a space in the allocated picnic area for our big group. They were so accommodating to our needs in terms of where we could have our lunch, and in the middle of lunch Rosie returned not only with festival goody bags and tickets to the Wonderlab and Space Show for my son and his friends, but also a birthday card and birthday present for my son! All the staff in the Wonderlab also knew the situation and were happy to talk to him and wish him a Happy Birthday, and Shannon got him involved with the show.

What an amazing team to go above and beyond to make my son's day so special. Thank you to you all, but a special huge thank you to the amazing Rosie!

All that on top of what was already an awesome visit with loads to do and see!!!

It’s been a long time since I visited as a child and took my children for the first time. Wonderlab and the games arcade were our favourite areas. I think more interactive exhibitions like this would be great. We enjoyed the clay model making. Catapult making was a little busy (half term). Next time we’d love to do a movie too. My kids are 5 & 3. I think 6/7+ would get the full benefit of all the floors as a many of exhibitions involve lots of reading boards. We will be coming back.

User

It was good but please bring back some sort of TV studio and magic carpet! That was my childhood memory and my husbands and the whole reason we brought our daughter here

User

Son used to love it here but since got rid of the old things not enjoyed it as much. Was very dissapointed yesterday to find the magic factory is now a picnic area. Would be nice for some more hands on areas. Wonderlab and the games room are fab but just too busy in the games room. We were in and out of museum within half an hour previously would stay hours. Would gladly pay a fee to see some new interacting exhibitions

User

Free entry is always a bonus! Nice museum but probably more suitable for children aged 5+ as there’s not much for younger ones to do. Only takes about an hour of the day up walking around so it wouldn’t be worth travelling far. It’s nice and clean (even the toilets!) and there’s always staff around to talk to if you ever had any problems.

User

A return visit. Came when it first opened, and have returned 3 times since. Changed a lot over the years. Used to be more emphasis on still photography and film. Wonderlab is a great hands on experience, but sad that the tv studio and special effects no longer exist. Wanted to show my daughter IMAX, but no short films after 12, which was a pity as we didn't want to sit through a 11/2 hour action film.

User

Wasn't much to see. My 6 year old enjoyed the wonderlab but that was about it, he was quite disappointed and bored. Was free to get in so shouldn't really complain. The fun floor has gone and been replaced with a pointless picnic area.

User

Load of rubbish. Why have they got rid of the magic room with all the mirrors? That was the best bit!! And to replace it with a picnic area? Seriously!? We visited with our 1 year old and were so disappointed. Will not be wasting our time again.

User

There is a big issue with disabled parking. All the disabled spaces in the front are owned by the council and were all full the disabled ones at the very front can’t be used until after 6pm. Spoilt the visit.
