Cake is a great way to say thank you and patient Sue Threadgold was so very grateful for the care and support that she received on ward 19 that her daughter Gemma Richardson kindly baked the team a chocolate cake to show their gratitude. Yummy! #ThumbsUpFriday

#ThumbsUpFriday to kitchen staff at Scunthorpe who get through a lot of bread in a year! 148,720 slices of white, 95,680 of brown and a whopping 21, 840 bread buns! They also use a mammoth 56,160 litres of milk! Here's catering store man Steve Cowling who checks the deliveries

Took my poorly daughter to A and E as temp 40 and she was very unwell and she also has had a kidney transplant. The care was amazing I felt very reassured she was in good hands. She was admitted and required IV fluids - staff on CDU and Ward 28 were fantastic - huge thank you I could see how hard you are all working - it really is appreciated x

User

Thanks to Blue Sky ,very prompt and professional when I went for my CT scan .

User

My mum suffered a stroke on 9/5 ...she was treated so quickly in a very busy department..fast decisions & fastracked leading to a good recovery on stroke unit. All staff were absolutely amazing in both areas....proud to nurse in this trust!!

User

My husband was recently in Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for a minor surgical procedure and he couldn't have received better treatment if he had paid privately. He commented the pre and post op treatment was superb, the staff were obviously both enthusiastic and proud of the care they were offering. They were extremely busy but still managed a smile and a kind word. The health care assistants were again super, the food was both fresh and substantial. Whilst he hopes not to have to return, if at some point in the future he required a stay, he is reassured of the care he would receive. Thank-you

User

I would just like to thank all the midwifes I have seen at Mablethorpe, especially Keely and Ann from the Louth centre for all their help and support with my pregnancy and after birth complications, and also everyone on the blueberry ward at Grimsby hospital. Nothing was to much trouble for any of them they were always so positive and friendly and supported me through the birth and afterwards.

User

I just want to say a massive thank you to the midwifery team at Scunthorpe and Gerry in particular who delivered our daughter Elizabeth. She was exemplary with her professionalism and knowledge and allowed me to feel as in control as I could be at such a time. I cannot praise her highly enough. I haven't been able to thank her personally so I hope this message finds its way to her. Thank you.

User

I had to spend a week in ward 23 recently. I cannot thank the staff enough. It didnt matter what the the persons job was, they were always happy, kind and unbelievably caring. Fantastic teamwork. Again many thanks :)

User

I had to attend Accident and Emergency with my dad who is 81 the staff were brilliant and even made sure he had something to eat and drink before discharging him. I wish to thank each and everyone of them for their care and compassion. They deserve the praise and so much more.

User

Big shout out to the radiology dept. Just been for my 3rd MRI in 6 weeks and every visit has been prompt and efficient with friendly welcoming staff. But especially for the MRI staff today a heartfelt thank you. I was a little fed up and worried at having a 3rd not to mention my dislike of needles but it was met with such humour and ease that it was actually a pleasant experience! Keep up the good work guys!

User

Attended MIU Goole today with my daughter, the care she received couldn't have been better. From the moment we booked in with the lovely reception lady followed by the Dr, nursing staff & hca, you were all brilliant. Xx

User

Absolutely fantastic patient care received today at Scunthorpe Hospital.

My daughter underwent a knee arthroscopy under the care of Mr Pacheco.

Mr Pacheco was simply outstanding, his patient interaction has been fabulous in OPD but also throughout her stay today, personally visiting Ebony on the ward & making sure she was fully prepared for the operation.

The advanced health care assistant on Disney - Sasha, went over and above, displaying exemplary care, describing everything & offering reassurance. I believe Sasha is a true asset to the NLAG nursing team.

The anaesthetist Dr Joseph, again carefully explaining everything that would happen & making sure all Ebony's questions were answered before going to theatre, it made her first GA as stress free as possible.

The theatre team whose kindness & calming approach made what could have been a stressful situation reassuring and as a parent I was able to walk away from the anaesthetic room having complete trust in them.

Well done team NLAG, a really positive patient experience a fine example of how fabulous our NHS is!

Ebony and I offer our sincere thanks & I am pleased to say she is recovering well.

User

A big thank you to the Doctor & nurses in A&E yesterday afternoon who looked after my 2 year old little girl after she took a tumble & cut her head open. Was in & out in no time & they were all fantastic with her!

User

Took my son to A&E tonight the wait was long but after a shakey start the radiographer, the Dr and the excellent nurse who completed the treatment by plastering his leg were fantastic- he may not be happy about no football but he was treated like a Prince and his curiosity and questions were answered. Well done.

User

I was taken into a and e in a serious condition I was treated immediately and within 30minutes I was diagnosed and given treatment before being admitted to ward 16. I was treated with respect and couldn't have asked for better care.I'm sure other people who have been patients will strongly disagree but everyone's experience is different from another. I personally think our NHS is a great asset to this country and we should try to uphold it with more positivity than without.

User

Outpatients Department is a joke. Customer Care is non-existent especially with the so called Receptionists.

User

I think it entirely inappropriate to receive a recorded message requesting to speak to a child, taken to A&E, fir customer satisfaction survey to be completed! My telephone number was given as part of medical requirements not for a marketing exercise - especially to a minor!
