Such a great Easter Lunch today at Park Hill Hospital after a very generous donation from a recent inpatient. Mrs Thorpe was extremely happy with the service she received during her stay. A former nurse for over 30 years, she felt that everyone’s hard work needed to be recognised as she was extremely thankful for everyone’s hard work and dedication! Well done everyone and Happy Easter! #teamwork #dedication #ramsayhealth

Some people may think this is false but I can assure you it is Gospel I did not know about parkhill hospital until I got my appointment to go in on Friday the 19th of May I would just like to say from start to finish I have not got a bad word to say the entire staff and facilities were faultless and I am not just saying that because I feel my surgery went well so far I do not know how the surgery will end up but that does not matter I was in a single room with ensuite facilities and a remote controlled wall mounted TV I was looked after and cared for by all concerned really well and considering I can be a bit of a pain I am told they put up with me really well would like to mention Brian the physio who no doubt has heard it all before many times yet he listened to me inane drivel without batting an eyelid I am going to try and take every bit of advice seriously and do my utmost to help my recovery process hoping that the surgery performed by Mr panicker and his team will be a total success if I have anything to do with it it will be and it is all thanks to the staff and facilities at Park Hill thank you Ian Forbes

User

Nothing was too much trouble. Kirsty was lovely and so helpful.

Mr Wilkinson and his team are expextional, I've had 3 procedures done and all of them have been took great care of. Thankyou for everything

User

My husband Mark was an in patient and had total knee replacement on 6.8.15 as an nhs patient. We cannot fault the staff, from the lovely cleaners, tea ladies to the nurses and physios, you are all amazing. Even though he is now at home, your support is still there at the end of the phone, that reassurance is very much appreciated. Have just been to collect some additional pain relief, thank you. Special thanks to Joe the student Nurse who was particularly lovely, even though he was a Blackburn rovers fan! Thanks all x

User

It was a wonderful experience the staff was very friendly and professional definitely 5 * wouldn't hesitate if I had to have another operation to book in to park Hill though not in a rush lol thank you ladies and gentlemen for taking very good care of me

User

I was very in pressed every one are so friendly nice and clean the staff are helpful they've done a wonderful job to my foot I'll be back to have my other one done in a few years a lovely hospital.

User

I really hope the nurses at Park Hill see this - I came in for an arthroscopy yesterday and the nurses were absolutely amazing!!!! Tina and the Polish nurse (sorry forgot your name) were so kind. Kath - a personal favorite absolutely hilarious lady! The male nurse in the recovery section was great too - thanks for not putting my slippers on ebay while I was in the surgery! Loved you all to bits thanks so much everyone!

User

I had a arthroscopic procedure done under Mr Haslam care, service from the very beginning fantastic runs like clock work staff are so friendly and happy to help can't say enough good things about the whole hospital and team. And so far think my knee is already feeling better thank your Haslam.

User

I came for my gall bladder to be removed yesterday (paid for by the NHS) very nervous as had never had any surgery before. From my pre op check on Monday to being discharged yesterday afternoon every member of staff that had to deal with me was great ( think I may not even be so scared of needles now). The room I had was lovely and my partner was comfortably watching telly until I returned. When it was time to have something to eat they accommodated my needs very well too as I have food allergies. This morning as I write this I am feeling all the things that were advised would happen both before and after my surgery but I know this is the only way to get pain free......I have been in pain and feeling sick every day sine August so what's a few more days when you know this is how it is.

Wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone from the pre op nurse on Monday, all the nurses, the catering lady, the anaesthetists, the surgeon and everyone I may not have seen due to my little sleep.

Sorry that we both sat on the buzzer a few times had you running around unnecessarily xx

Thank you again and I will certainly hope that if I ever need any surgery again that I come see you guys again.

User

Having just been a patient at park hill hospital I have nothing but praise for everyone there , from surgeon , anaesthetist , theatre staff to ward staff , catering staff and physio a Brian and barbera , all wonderful can't thank them enough !!! Would highly recommend this hospital to anyone ! X

User

Had treatment here under Mr Panikkar numerous times and had a spinal fusion with instrumentation yesterday. As usual all the staff have been brilliant and put me at ease at a very stressful time. The care from Mr Panikkar and his team in theatre was top notch and the aftercare on the ward was superb and Nicola has been a wonderful nurse. It feels like you are in a hotel with private facilities and really tasty food served by lovely people. Definitely recommend.

User

Had my gallbladder removed yesterday as nhs patient. Treatment was fab from start to finish. Room was lovely and was never made to feel different as I was an nhs patient. I was incredibly anxious as I had never had a general anaesthetic before and they were all brill. No rushing me to get up and about afterwards all done at my own pace. Thank you all

User

I was very happy with the operation. By Mr HariKhumar for total hip replacement.I had my own room and bathroom and tried to do as much as I could for myself .Physio was provided to enable this. I enjoyed food .I could watch a little tv.I was wheeled to my lift on leaving. The staff were courteous on the whole .

User

Brilliant hospital. Had an ACL reconstruction by Dr Haslam and yes he is as good as everyone says. Had my own room which made things better but the bathroom was freezing. No heating in the bathroom. The set up is very similar to a hotel and the food isn't bad either. Nurses are great and you can certainly tell the difference between this hotel and DRI itself.

User

All the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough . The only down side was physio hadn't left any crutches so had a mismatch pair they managed to find which were uneven . Had to exchange them the next day . Never having used crutches before I had no idea how to use them and wasn't shown .

All in all though a good stay .

User

I went yesterday for facet injections my appointment was for 16.30 my only issue was the wait is didn't go to theatre till 18.15 and after that it was about 25 mins from going to theatre to leaving as my room was needed by another patient so felt a little bit rushed so that my room could be sorted for the next person other than that my experience there was good.

User

The hospital, nurses and procedures are fine. Couldn't fault them.

But be warned if you are placed there as an NHS patient then you are only afforded 3 hours of visiting time from your friends and family compared to a whole 12 hours for private patients.

I understand it is a private hospital but this is completely unfair as NHS patients don't get to choose which hospital they are placed in for an operation especially when that operation is urgently needed.

Visiting hours should not be based on the finances of a patient.

For clarification the NHS ward that would have provided the operation provides 9 hours of visiting.

User

I had a bad experience with a member of staff I have had total knee replasment and needed help out of bed female senior nurse was very rude and found it amusing to see me struggle after 2 day post op I didn't want to make a formal complaint and the rest of the staff team were exelant I had a total knee replaced last July in basitlaw hospital on the NHS and I feel I had better testament there

User

I came into this hospital thinking wow the NHS has paid for me to go private to have my gall bladder out and I should get great care. How wrong I was, initially I thought yes the care will be good when I first entered.

After my operation in recovery my throat was really dry and the nurse asked if I would like a drink of water I nodded yes, she bought me a glass with a straw but didn't help me drink it just put the straw in my mouth while I am laid flat and expected me to drink didn't help that I couldn't. Got back to the room and I must admit the young girl who initially was looking after was good until she finished her shift. Not one doctor or nurse came and informed me how my operation went or to see how I was feeling. I needed the toilet and the young nurse who was stood at the side of my bed didn't even help me get out of bed I had to do that myself. When it was time for me to leave at 9pm the same day,my husband asked would I be wheeled down to the reception and the answer was NO she will have to walk and with this the nurse walks off leaving us thinking right can we leave. In the end we walked out of the room and saw the same nurse and my husband asked if it was ok for us to leave. She was shocked that we was still there but at no time was I told. My problem is the NHS paid them for my surgery so I expected the same service ppl get who paid privately. I will never go to that hospital again

My problem is the NHS paid them for my surgery so I expected the same service ppl get who paid privately. I will never go to that hospital again
