My name is Sam and I have been an Ofsted Registered Child Minder for 3 Years.

I have 3 children of my own. Harrison is 10 years old; Charley is 8 years old and Darcey who is 3. Charley and Harrison attend St Johns CE Primary School. My Partner is called Anson and he is a HGV driver.

I work with my two assistant Leanne Kirton and Laura Kowalik, Who have been checked and approved by Ofsted to be suitable candidates to work with children.
I am currently studying my level 3 in childcare and hope to have this completed by November 2013. Leanne and Laura are studying Level 2 in childcare and will be moving onto Level 3 in September. We are all dedicated to providing the best possible childcare for all the children who attend our setting and attend regular training course put on by our local authority to ensure we can do this.

I offer a homely setting where children can feel relaxed and comfortable whilst in a learning environment. We work hard to ensure each child's individual needs are met and there for have flexible routines in place so we can adjust to the needs of the children.

Whilst working with an assistants, we are each registered to mind 6 children under the age of 8; of these no more than 3 in the early yearŌĆÖs age group and no more the 1 under the age of 1.

We have 2 dedicated playrooms and a large back garden for the children to enjoy. One playroom is focused on children aged from birth to 2 depending on stage of development. This room is filled with lots of sensory toys and equipment to enable young babies to progress and enjoy their surroundings. The other playroom is dedicated for 2 year olds and over and again is equip with toys for this age range.

Each child will have a dedicated key worker (either myself Laura or Leanne) and will have a development folder which will be available for you to view at any time. Before childcare commences we will ask you to complete a settling in summery which will able us to gather information about your child. We will then agree a settling in routine.

We regularly observe each child and record this in there folder and make suggestions on how we can help them progress their skills further. We welcome parentŌĆÖs ideas and encourage their support whilst at home.

We like the children to get out and about and enjoy the fresh air. so we have lots of outdoor activities and we often plan trips to different places and attend local parks.

We aim to provide a varied selection of Healthy meals to encourage the children to try different foods. We will try our best to accommodate parents food preferences. We often discuss with the children the benefits of making healthy choices.

Opening hours are; 7. 30 am to 6. 30 pm early starts and late finishes are available at addition cost
We also offer free 15 hours per week for 2& 3 year olds
