we went with family for my birthday and as always the food was perfect, the staff were friendly and professional, and the atmosphere relaxed. Thank you :)

User

We have just been for the first and we loved it. We will definitely be returning.

User

Visited yesterday, the food was enjoyed by all of us, including 3 picky granddaughters, I ordered a smaller plate meal, and it was a good portion size. The dessert menu was tempting, but the children were starting to fidget, although they made good use of the lovely enclosed garden area, so we didn't get tempted, but intend to return next week.

User

This place is amazing, food is unbelievable, staff are so friendly and helpful and the decor and atmosphere is so so lovely x

User

The car park was full when we arrived at 5:30 yesterday so we were not overly optimistic that we would get a table. However after a short wait in the bar area we were shown to a table. We all had the Sunday carvery and it was delicious. Beef melted in the mouth and just how I like it. Everything was tasty, homemade and hot. My trifle dessert was scrumpy and we all left feeling full and happy. The only minor criticism was the table in the bar area wasn't clean but I guess on a busy Sunday service keeping the bar area is difficult. We will be back for sure 👍

User

Lovely place, Decor makes you feel very comfortable and the restaurant looks extremely well looked after. Been here a few times and the foods always been brilliant, service is always friendly and the food is definitely not rushed (in a good way), amazing presentation and delicious. Xxx

User

Had such an amazing time for my mum's 60th (we're the ones who surprised her with the car!)...i just wanted to say how grateful we were for the champagne and your hospitality all night! I wish more places had staff like that! Cannot recommend highly enough, thank you! (Also - the "five hour" pie is to die for)

User

Fantastic place for a Sunday lunch. The carvery is excellent and the staff are always super-friendly. Sometimes it can be difficult to get a table but that's only because it's so popular. It's a good place all year round - lovely garden in the summer with outdoor dining and in winter it's cosy and snug - well worth going when they trim up for Christmas too!

User

Excellent food and service good surroundings thank you

User

Enjoyed Christmas day here I have to say the food was fantastic and we were made to feel at home highly recommend Pilgrim fathers

User

Best Carvery in the area, been a few times and never been let down

Excellent food and a great pint of John Smiths

User

Been here many times for the Sunday carvery. Beautiful food, much better than the usual pub carvery. Food always fresh and always generous on the meat. Busy pub and good atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful. Look forward to going back each time.

User

Amazing food, lovely staff- great setting. Reasonable pricing couldn't asked for more x

User

After a morning spent on a cold rugby pitch the family decided a carvery would be good. They all chose Pilgrim Fathers. Wonderful food as always, great staff and worth a visit just to see the Christmas decorations which are very impressive. But what made it so special was the way my severely disabled daughter with autism was treated. Very accommodating, she even walked out with a singing Santa from the owner.

User

Absolutely delicious food, and more importantly the children’s menu was good quality fresh and all home made. Polite attentive staff. we will definitely be back.

User

Called in on the off chance for midweek lunch, suprised to find this quite busy but take this as a good sign, had two meals off the specials board , service was good and food good, will reuse in the future.

User

Had to wait quite a while for our food, was a little disappointed that we couldn't get a jug of tap water after spending on wine beer etc, waiter just bluntly said bottled sparkling or still, a lot of staff stood about talking, had to get there attention to order another drink, won't be rushing back

User

Well went today for Mother’s Day booked

A table in advance carvery was over priced for what you get not much choice on vegetables plates are tiny to so carnt get much Gravy on them lovely decor stood at the bar for 10mins to be served then to other people came to the bar to to which got served before me as I got the impression the staff member new these people which I find very rude it’s very cramped we won’t be returning nor recommending

User

Turned up after driving from Belton to find a busy car park and followed suit by parked the same way as other cars in there, on entrance to the bar my wife was asked if we had booked and she said " no , do you have to? " and the bar man said no but the went on about our car taking 4 spaces up in the car park and we must go and move it , on which another lady said she had parked the same and he told her the same .

Needless to say we moved the car to another pub down the road for our lunch , very rude !
