We went to Red Sails on Tuesday for tea. We have a daughter with ASD and ADHD and a son waiting to be assessed. My daughter is quite picky in what she likes to eat. The man behind the bar was brilliant with her. She insisted in ordering her own food and drink and he listened and did what she asked all the while checking it was ok with me. She chose a carvery it was so funny to watch the chefs face as she ordered her meat but asking for the fat off the joints. He gave her just what she asked for. We don’t go out very often because it can be quite difficult due to her sensory issues but Red Sails made it a lovely time for us all. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you.

We often go in a party of 8 or 9 and get really brilliant service every time, bar staff are very patient with some awkward people, the other staff around serving delicious food are fun, friendly & very willing to help you enjoy tasty superb food.

We will be going again VERY soon !

Seems to be a new menu sinse the last time I went around a year ago and the food is delicious, great service, can not fault it.

I won a competition for a free meal up to 4 people, myself my husband my daughter and my son in law with there 4 month old son came this evening, we was greeted at the doors and taken across to a table that would accommodate us having a pram.

ALL STAFF were lovely, polite friendly and extremely welcoming.

The food was beautiful really really lovely food, absolutely cooked to perfection (my husband always finds somthing wrong with everything! But not this time he loved it). The establishment with the new refurbishment looks fantastic, we all had such a lovely evening and would like to thank all staff,

5 stars from us all!

Came up to Hull for the weekend and went here with friends had mixed grill was cooked to perfection loved it and the staff were so polite thank you so much can't wait to see the photo that a member of staff took of our group x

User

As always food and service excellent. After visiting a few times the staff recognised us, so when waiting for table we could relax n not worry about missing them call out. If I had to complain about anything it would be that we have been Sat down in the kids area on a few occasions and we don't have kids.

After a busy day in Hull and Withernsea we decided to stop off for food on our way home to Bradford. What a find!! Polite staff, lovely warm atmosphere and fab food. My yorkshire pud wrap was immense, my husband had steak n ale pie and my teenage son had a chicken burger. Large portions and well worth the money. We'll be back.

I've been about 6 times now and can honestly say I've only fully enjoyed the food once and almost enjoyed it once. We have a girls night every month and out of all the pub meals we've had this is the most expensive and the alcohol matches in price, 2 x coke and 1 shandy nearly £10 but hey ho we came yet again, we ate and drank yet again but hopefully won't be coming back soon.

On the plus side the staff were brilliant

Went yesterday thought would be a good choice, well I was wrong we was placed near fire doors were flor was uneven nearly fell from chair, the carvery was a disaster was unorganised then they told me I'll bring your pigs in blankets to the table to which they forgot until I reminded them which them came nearly raw and was only given my £1back I'd paid extra for with hardly no apology it's a shame because this could be a great place I just think they need to think a bit more of what the customer may like and not just how many they can get served so quick

User

Went there for a carvery with the family, completely disappointed. Yorkshire pudding was mostly burnt and flavourless. I actually found a vein in my piece of turkey, and after telling the waitress about it she told me there was nothing she could do and came back asking me if i wanted another piece. Not going there again.

Went into red sails tonight with the girls for a work tea, carvery was lovely, ordered the chocolate eclair cake, the eclair was stale! Complained to the waitress who told the manager, 2 minutes later the manager came over, told me that I was wrong and that the eclair was not stale as he had just EATEN the one off my plate and it was fresh to him! Err ok... that's disgusting and poor customer service when we had just spent a fortune in there!! He ate my pudding! Who eats off a strangers plate and tells a paying customer that they are wrong?

User

We visited during Easter holidays.. won’t be returning in a hurry! Me kids and hubby got the carvery it was rubbish no taste at all the gravy was thin and tasteless considering it cost us £35 for two small plates and a large felt like a waste of money the only think that was nice about it was the meat apart from my bit of roast beef been fatty as hell! Shame really as iv heard of other people it was a nice place to eat..

User

This is the second time ive been to red sail and its no better in fact it was rank, chef gave all the hard fatty gammon that was the dregs when asking for some fresh one with no fat he said no if i give you it every one will want it he managed to scrape some of the gammon fat off the old bits and give us that, Turkey was so dry even the gravy did not help! Not much veg to choose from and NO mash! Yorkshire puds dint have no taste at all was like eating air! Got back to our table and our hot drinks was cold and so was the food ate half of it as we was all hungry, waitress collected our plates and did not even ask if food was ok plus mam had to sit with coat on as it was cold (sat away from the door because of this) WILL NOT BE COMING BACK

User

My two daughters came here yesterday for the carvery, and they said they wouldn't be returning again,to pay 8 pound odd for a few slices of fat and a very poor selection of veg,to which wasn't even cooked properly, wasn't worth the money one bit
