Went to shimlas today in the afternoon food was on point and the waiter Mustapha was a big help food was out time and taste very nice lamb chops were on point so was the manager definitely going back soon keep it up guys well done.

We were recommended this place by my friend and the food was absolutely delicious there fish donner was amazing 👌🏽👌🏽 The service was 5* will definitely go there again in future and I would highly recommend this place to all my family and friends 👍🏽

The best food place in Bradford and in UK. The food is just perfect everytime we go. Takeaway side not the best. Maybe a screen to display order no etc will be nice on Takeaway as it's very busy.

Had table for 2 at family floor

food took very long but it was delicious but it was very busy could be more tables but staff served by mariyah was very friendly and kept and eye on each table including others too was very helpful.

Would recommend everyone for food an helpful staff.

Excellent, traditional food. The owner and staff were very courteous and welcoming. Good prices for what is amongst the best curries I've had.

Excellent service, went today 23rd feb 18, the management was very organised and polite! Food was cooked to perfection! Staff were really nice and the atmosphere was great! Food great ! I highly recommend shimlas!

Went in last night at at the Bradford branch and the food was perfect. From starters to mains the quality and the time for food to arrive was great. Most of the staff were nice and friendly too except from one of the waitress that partially served us. I should have asked for her name for this review but she's the girl with glasses on she was extremely rude. With all honesty her facial expression was the same as a bulldog! When she was giving us plates she just left them at the corner edge of the table (We sat on a big table capable of fitting 6 people but we was dining with just 2 of us) she didn't only do this once for the starter plates but for the mains plates too. When she gave the food she didn't even call out the dish name instead she just left it at the corner of the table again and rushed away. I could go on and on as I've never came across such terrible service but I would have given 5 stars but because of her rubbish service I'm giving 4 stars. I couldn't tell whether she's an actual waitress or a slave being forced to there! Besides from that everything was good.

The food was nice but it was very spicy for the children. Next time lower the spice in every food.

First time here and wasn't impressed with the lack of customer service.

No one to greet you at the entrance, when finally someone came we were shown to table.

After placing our order we waited over 40 mins for our food to arrive .

And that wasn't even our complete order , no mocktails or milkshakes where served in the afternoon, only served after 6pm.

Just generally not a nice experience at all.

Rubbish service main course came before the starters �food was cold had to continuously ask for things and then made to wait for double the time for take out and it was the wrong thing.

Every time we come here Our order comes last! Even we place our order first other clients get it first and the order is the same! Very very poor customer service, I feel discriminated.... only good thing is that the food is nice..

Worst Customer Services ever. I visited last Saturday Night with my family. Food was awesome but service was disgusting. Unprofessional attitude person who was at till.

Went today with my sisters to the Bradford Branch, the man was serving raw chicken and claiming it’s a perfectly fine leg piece, and customer service was a complete shambles. Don’t even know how they’re still running. As soon as the chicken was ate stomach pains started and the manager Amat couldn’t care less and when told him to eat it he eventually did and couldn’t even keep a straight face or swallow it yet said it was perfectly fine. Hour later and temp and sickness started. Don’t know how or why people eat this or even go there to get crap service.

We were told just earlier on today that 3 of us friends cannot pay separately and must pay together. This is unacceptable and ridiculous. It might be even illegal. Friends can go together but have separate food so surely you're only liable to pay for your bill legally.



No more Shimlas for me until/unless this policy is reversed...

Very sorry to say (making money) when busy time give food very cold 2/3 time same problem I told the manager still say very busy this is no fare please look the customers no money �......

Most disgusting place ever.

Toilets are disgusting. You have to wait 2 hours for food. I wouldn’t go there even if food was free.

If it was possible to give a zero I would. Terrible service abnoxious food and well below standards unbelieveable. The foods gone down pan recently and the customer service is absolutely disgusting need propper staff not young kids who don't know how to speak to customers.

If I could give a minus review I would..! Been a regular at shimlas for many years, however yesterday with family, amazed to find prices gone up! Food standard and portion size gone down! £7.50 for a mix donner? I mean it’s a bit of chicken with “a” seekh kebab, it’s hardly a mix!



From now on it’s a big no no from me. There’s a limit and you guys have crossed with the right portions and over inflated prices. It’s trying to be one of those all show places! Well it ain’t.

I went to Shimlas on Friday and on Saturday I was rushed into hospital due to severe food poisoning. Everyone that went in my family have the symptoms too except mine were a lot worse. I was admitted into hospital for 4 days. Totally unacceptable

Horrible customer service by Manager Amar may never visit again!!!!

Have been given 1 start by the hygiene rating 2018, check it online. poor

Forgot our order, gave it to someone else, made us wait 45 mins for a standard chicken donner. No apologies had to call over 3 waiters to eventually get our food. And then when our food arrived, they forgot the chips waited a further 5 mins and was told to be patient. Then when we paid showed payment had declined so tried the payment 5 different times, eventually went through. Looked at my balance which showed the money came out all 5 times!

DISGUSTING. Came to eat on 30 March 2018 and all of us came down with severe food poisoning. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Bought our food round it was cold so sent it back come back second time round still wasn’t hot was just warm ish well disappointed

Attened with the family, although service was good on continuously suppling us with jugs of water the food was far too spicy, with a family that likes spice at a meadium heat this was far too spicy!

4 out of the 5 dishes was left due to the spice & only one was eaten due to asking for mild!

Will sertainly give this place a miss next time and will not be returning!
