Thought I'd review here as it has many mixed reviews.. Tried it for the first time today. I had a carvery, gammon and turkey were very nice.. My girlfriend had a kids ham and mushroom pizza.. Half of which we had to ask for a box for as filled herself up with the unlimited chips! Obviously due to a customer, the mayonnaise at the salad bar had bits of salad in it.. Would suggest sachets of mayonnaise to prevent happening again.. But still a lovely affordable meal with staff always smiling.. We'll be back!!

My daughter and I went 3 /9/18 very nice friendly welcome from Rich who took our orders,also the chef that served our meal at the carvery lovely happy atmosphere.

Just been for carvery with my husband and our children for our wedding anniversary ,gorgeous food we love coming here ,lovely staff and service we will be back soon �

It was my daughters birthday yesterday, there was 8 of us with my grandchildren. We all enjoyed the carvery, even my grandchildren enjoyed it. I took a cake for my daughter which a member of staff brought out with candles on after the meal. The staff are very polite and friendly. Thank you so much we will be coming again x

First time for me and my husband. Was lovely and staff very helpful and friendly. Only minor pick is the salad was a bit rubbery but wasn’t a massive problem. Will be coming back with my daughter to take advantage of the ice cream station

Food was OK, Cheesy Garlic Bread varies in quality each time we come (x2 this week) more like cheese on toast (is there a shortage of garlic this week?�)



The Meats on both occasions nice and plenty of variety, The Mash lovely as always.



Only Gripe is the waitressy staff don't seem very happy? Also our plate wasn't cleared after starters on either occasion and then following main course plates remained in situ for a good 40 mins staff just walked past.....

Good food nice and hot , service at ordering not enough staff on , had slow movement waiting to be served , heard one of your table ladies comment on a young mans food , she said ooow you've got a big plateful hope your going to clear your plate , I couldn't believe my ears , how rude of her , I turned round to the young man and asked if I heard right , he said yes you did , I answered by saying how rude she was to say this to him , he just smiled , I would have told her off if she said it to me and I would have reported her to manager ,

Went for a breakfast the other morning, wish I hadn’t!

After waiting nearly 10 minutes I finally got a plate. Whilst waiting I decided to get my cup of tea, I found there was no milk, or white sugar, still I put my tea bag in the cup and went to fill it up with hot water, only to find coffee going into the cup. Two hot water tanks, 1 with hot water in, and the other with coffee in. But no label (so it’s a 50/50 guess) must be too simple to just label them.

After waiting to find a member of staff walking around after having a natter, I finally got some milk and sugar. Once getting my breakfast finally, I was handed a fruit bowl of mushrooms (14 I counted). 14 mushrooms �, usually just have 2/3 with a breakfast. I then discovered I was charged extra for these mushrooms without being told. I did look for a member of staff to ask but yet again they was in the back having a natter..... I know this cos it was clear to hear them.

So I paid nearly £7.50 for a terrible breakfast, service and tea/coffee mixture. I could have the worst hangover in the world, and not eaten for a week...... I still would never return here for a breakfast again!

Very disappointed, as I drink in here socially time to time. Anyone wanting a good, cheap breakfast with a great service, I recommend the little cafe on chants Ave corner of Perth street �.

We went to West bulls today, main well was nice, just waited for 15 minutes for gravy and by time it arrived our food was cold. No cutlery on our table. Dessert was nice just slightly cold on a apple pie and custard, out the meals would of just had dessert. Not the first time we have had problems here, give them the benefit of doubt. I won't be coming here no more, goodfellowship from now on.

So far waited 50 minutes for 2 chicken burgers to be told sorry really busy but we were three of only maybe a dozen in the place and not too busy to do peoples who came in after us incredibly bad service no mention of a waiting time and others been eaten and gone before we’ve seen sight of our order

Poor service only one person serving for food and drink! Waited half hour for the veggie option and food very dry and bland. A couple were complaing that they had been served there carvery and had been waiting for gravy for ages and there food was going cold. After waiting again for a few minutes someone reluctantly came out to serve us. I asked for sausages for my son as that's all he'll eat and they said they had none ready. I asked how long they would take and she said 10 minutes! I went back round to the bar to complain about the poor service this place gives, to find no member of staff at the bar once again !! When someone finally came, i asked to speak to the manager to which she replied, thats me. Which i know she wasnt as i know the manager as we come here often. I expressed my concerns to be told i should have ordered the sausages at the bar which is pretty much bollocks! So basically i have to order my food in advance? Doubt it ! She was rude, didnt care less about my complaint. The chef was rude to us, and the quality of this place has just totally gone down hill. Everytime we come there seems to be a problem so from now on i'll be staying away !.

Carvery was so dried out, meat was hard and tough and don’t know how they were still serving the beef!!. eating at 4pm, we would have expected it to be fresh but it had clearly all been sat there a very long time. Same for the salad bar, looked awful, dried out appeared stale. Crudités were soft. Kids ordered pizza which were ok but despite ordering 3 different ones they pretty much tasted the same and certainly not worth nearly £8 each!! Used to love this place, not been in quite a while. Won’t be back.

Had to wait for food to be replaced while we were waiting the food we had on out plates were getting cold..mash was flavourless and sloppy, scaps of roasted potatoes , stuffing..well what can I say!! Got youngest bottomless icecream disapointed really if you wanted coco pops or coco pops crushed on icecream .. use to be really nice gone down the pan! NO organisation ay all .. staff no were to be seen . Paid and went.. don't think we will go there again!!

All but the chef was very rude not only was he rude to me and my partner but also the way he spoke to other customers. .... its not the first time this as happened but the last time he was rude I just didn't think anything of it but this time he was so rude all because the lady who taken our money didn't give us a recipe for our mushrooms which we had paid for and wasn't our fault she didn't give us it.... rail don't think we will be coming back for our breakfast anymore ..
