We’re in the middle of vintage train season on the The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (official): on Sundays 22nd, 29th July and 5th August you can ride on some of the railways older rolling stock, much of which dates back to Victorian times. Alight at Haworth and within a few minutes you can be enjoying tea at The Cookhouse.
A tip for visitors to Haworth - Main Street is quieter earlier in the day and The Cookhouse serves a great breakfast from 9:30am!
Have you tried our tasty vegan cakes by Kay’s Kitchen in Keighley? Try great flavours like lotus biscuit cheesecake, coconut flapjack and gluten free lemon drizzle! There's something for everyone.
The first ever mention of a traditional ploughman’s meal of bread, cheese and beer was in the medieval poem Pierce the Ploughman’s Crede (c.1394), and the tradition is still going. We serve a proper English ploughman’s lunch made with only the best locally sourced ingredients!
If you're a cyclist or biker looking for a way to enjoy the weather, there are some great roads with brilliant views around Haworth. Then why not finish of your day with a coffee at The Cookhouse!
Did you know our Casa Espresso coffee is available to buy? If you love our coffee pick up a bag on your next visit!
We serve a full traditional breakfast everyday, using only the best ingredients - all sourced locally. Our meat, for example, comes from Ellisons Butchers! #haworth
It's #NationalCreamTeaDay today! Come in and celebrate with an afternoon tea at The Cookhouse. The scones are fresh and homemade. Top them with cream followed by jam, in the true Devonshire way!
We are now open 7 days a week, so you’ll never miss out. Drop by and see us! #haworth
Why not make the most of the glorious weather we’re having and visit Haworth for the day?
There are plenty of things to do, including the 50th anniversary gala for the The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (official) – 24th June - 1st July! http://kwvr.co.uk/50th/
Then pop in and see us for a bite to eat and a refreshing drink!
It’s our first anniversary!!
Today marks our first year in Haworth, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has supported us over the last 12 months, our regulars old and new, our lovely neighbours, our fantastic suppliers, all of our hardworking staff, and every single person who has joined us, be it for a quick coffee stop or a pre booked lunch for 30- without you guys it wouldn’t have been possible, so thank you.
Onwards and upwards, we’...ve set a stable base, now it’s time to see what we can build upon it, here’s to year 2!
Matt and Stacey x

What a cracking place !!! Great food and excellent service. The staff ( who I’m sorry I don’t know your names ) were so helpful and cheerful. The choice for both meat eaters and vegan/vegetarian was spot on.
Good luck for the future guys !!
We went for late lunch/ afternoon tea today what an exceptional place fresh food cooked well served with polite friendly waitress and the cakes unbelievable - thought there wasn't any cafes left like this - giving Bettys a run for its money we will be back BigRedCurtain
Thank you very much for a lovely meal today, great food and great service
Popped in as I liked the sound of the Upside down Plum cake, overheard a lady ask for the "famous" breakfast hash so had that too... It was delish.... Staff were lovely... Setting lovely... Worth a visit if your in Haworth....
Not usually one for writing reviews, but felt that I must as this place is excellent!! Stopped in today on a busy bank holiday; food and service both fantastic. Lovely waitressing staff who seemed to take a genuine interest in the customers. Couldn't do enough to help. Food is very good quality and reasonably priced for a tourist hotspot. Yorkshire rarebit was superb and the 'side' salad substantial instead of just garnish. Will definitely return! X
Matt and Stacey are lovely and so welcoming! The service was fantastic and the food delicious! They can’t do enough to help you. Will definitely be coming back here!
Lovely place. Fab and friendly service. Gorgeous food. We visited for lunch yesterday and it was just as good as the first time we came last year. Well worth a visit. I know I will certainly visit again next time we are there.
Lovely cafe with friendly staff and the food was delicious. Very reasonably priced and a cosy little spot!
Looked after really well when I dropped by. Open on a Monday which is more than some of the other places in Howarth. Clean and tidy, good menu and the cakes were great too :-)
Just popped in here. Lovely welcome from friendly staff. Seated immediately. We all had the soup and half sandwich deal. Fantastic value. Hot home made soup with a cream swirl and doorstop butties filled to the Bridge. Absolutely fabulous. Would i go again! Hell yeah!! Would i recommend the cookhouse? Of course without hesitation. Thanks to all concerned xz
Had a fabulous breakfast and the owner opened early as we were stood in the rain! I would highly recommend the quality food and service.

A really classy cafe with good quality well cooked food, excellent coffee and really friendly service. We visited twice during our 3 day stay in Haworth, the breakfast is fantastic - highly recommended!
A lovely cafe/ restaurant that serves great food. Excellent staff and very friendly. Very clean and tasteful decor. There are many eateries in Haworth but this remains a favourite because it’s so good!
