Yorks very own version of Basil and Sybil Fawltey (Dave & Lorraine Clark) will be celebrating 18 years of running The Edinburgh Arms together TODAY!!! Where has the time gone???? We are lucky enough to run a pub that has fantastic customers that over the years have become great friends and are now seen as an extention to our family. Sadly we've also lost some of our much loved customers, friends & family over the last 18 years but their memories & stories are told throughout... the years over a drink & a smile. THANK YOU to our FANTASTIC TEAM that also help to run the Eddy's which are ELLIE, YVONNE, LEWIS & ELLA. Without these we wouldn't be able to do what we do. THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over these years we really do appreciate your loyalty, friendship & of course your hard earned wages in our till 😉 Here's to another few years

We stay here a lot at least once a month. It's great value for £60 a night & it's near everything. Dave & Lorraine are lovely. Be back again in a couple of weeks to stay for 3 nights when we go to see Lisa Stansfield at the York Barbican

User

Very friendly staff great atmosphere a great place to enjoy yourself small is great

User

Top staff and we was made to feel really welcome and to top it off the owner was sound as a pound and the beer was top notch. Well done to all involved xxxx also big shout out to the boss top man

User

The Edinburgh Arms and every other pub we visited in England (at least one every day during our stay) was great. Forget the myth that you can't get a cold beer in England...we had at least one pint of frosty lager every day and in every pub we visited!

User

Possibly the friendliest pub in York. Fantastic hosts, good food, with live music at the weekend.

Unfortunately there is someone with a vendetta posting bad reviews on here and trip advisor both in his name and using false accounts all because he couldn't get a seat on the busiest night of the year which shows how popular the pub really is.

User

Had a really good night came to see melody makes who were really good

User

Great pub that puts on music. Always great to see a pub supporting live music as much as this one does. Great atmosphere, would definitely recommend to all

User

Great pub music nights some great band's.Nice friendly staff & regulars who make you feel welcome.

User

Great pub located just a stones throw from york city centre with onsite accommodation. There is something behind the bar for everyone from real ales to wine. Live sports and local bands often playing too, check out the what’s on guide. Dave and Lorraine do a great job

User

Great pub friendly staff and quick service even on busy nights. Live music...seen Glamrockz there a few times. Always had a good night and will return whenever in York.

User

Fantastic night, few old friends, decent beer and cracking music.

User

Fabulous food(the burgers are amazing!) great atmosphere and a very warm welcome, music nights are also not to be missed. A great all round place

User

Always a warm and friendly reception from the staff and hosts Dave and Lorraine. Great spirit not only in the pub but in the community too! Plenty to keep people occupied with most sports shown, darts and pool and jam sessions/live bands for those who have musical aspirations not to mention well priced menu and well kept beers,a fantastic pub!

User

A Superb public house catering for a wide range of people. A venue that supports live music with the Thursday Jam night to the Saturday night gigs and the Nashville Sessions. The Land Lord and Land Lady are always obliging and helpful. a great place.

User

Well just visited and had a sunday dinner all i can say i am never cooking another sunday dinner it was great thankyou xxx

User

Stayed 2 nights here it's No frills accommodation which is fantastic value at £60 per night for its location near to the town centre, be back in a few weeks

User

Proper pub sport and beer. Decent prices. Hopefully back for clash tribute

User

Good was gorgeous ...those home made chips!! Very good value and a proper pub deffo recommend

User

Clean appearance tables polished not beer stained, we only had a soft drink but the barman was polite and friendly.

It's not a city centre "flashy type" more a traditional drinking mans pub - not being sexist as women seldom if ever went to the pub - certainly would revisit!
