Went for a birthday celebration. I had pate, followed by duck, and then Elton Mess sundae for dessert. Two large glasses of Chardonnay. Four of us ate. Two of us had starters, two had extra sides. We all had dessert, and we all had drinks. Bill came to just over £100. I was so impressed by everything. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was all delicious. Servings were just the right size - we left feeling we’d eaten well but weren’t over full. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

We held our art group party there yesterday and it was very good - we were well looked after and the buffet food was plentiful and lovely and fresh. The room was dressed for Christmas which added to the atmosphere - thank you very much to all concerned!!

We had a fabulous meal. The staff are efficient and friendly. The meal was tasty, generous, cooked the way you would like it. The burgers were huge and the chips amazing. We would have loved a pudding but we were so full there was no where to fill. The men enjoyed the beers especially the Stella Black. I was the driver this evening but did have a tasty sip of the lager-quite nice! The decor is dark which creates a cosy ambience. Really pleased to have rediscovered this great venue again after so many years. See you again.

We booked our wedding reception here and definitely highly recommend this venue. Our guests loved it just as much as we did and julie did everything possible to make our day perfect. She helped us so much not only in the planning but making sure the day went smoothly and both herself and Julia helped decorate the room perfectly, we were so pleased we booked this venue and the food was perfect xx

Visited on Sunday the 4th of June and ordered the beef! I wasn't disappointed probably the tastiest beef i have ever eaten in my 37 years, they cooked it to perfection it was absolutely stunning fantastic food, great place, great ales!

Our first but definitely not last visit here. We arrived without making a reservation and just managed to get a table. Very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful food and a lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit, but will make a reservation, so we're not disappointed as it appears to be a very popular place (which I'm not surprised) �

My wife has left a review as well but I had to leave some positive words to all the staff at Ferguson Fawcitt. We chose Fergie's as the venue for our wedding reception and it was the most perfect and magical place to have the celebrations. The service staff were so friendly and helpful and unbelievably patient at all points in the day. The food deserves a 5 page review in and of itself but I cannot compliment it high enough. Every single person rated the food very highly and we had a number of high level chefs dining with us and they were all very impressed and well satisfied.

I just cannot find the words to express my sincerest gratitude to all at Ferguson Fawcitt for their hard work. They should be incredibly proud of all their staff. If you need a venue for a wedding or celebration of any kind. Pick fergies.

Without a doubt one of the greatest treasures in East Yorkshire, and one that will now always be a special place to me and my wife.

Just returned from a lovely 4 day break, just me and the hubby. We loved the hotel, loved how we did not have to stay in the actual pub but had the lodge to go to, it was so quiet and very peaceful. Couple wee points I didn't like was the menu, first night got fish and chips unfortunately the skin was left on the fish before it was battered leading to slimey skin and there really wasn't anything else on menu I would have ate, but that was my fussy eating. We were in room 8 which was lovely apart from the curtains which were not heavy enough to keep out the dawn light. Staff I honestly could not fault they were brilliant. So attentive and friendly. All in all I had a fab time and if I'm down that way again I would not hesitate to book this hotel. So thank you guys for a lovely holiday.

We dropped in on the spur of the moment on Saturday night , they we're extremely busy with a wedding party . However the staff were great , found us a table that was reserved but not until later in the evening .

Both my wife & myself had the Steak , absolutely spot on & very prompt service despite them being busy .

We booked a table here last Sunday for 9 people, 3 of which were small children. There was so much to choose from on the menu for us and the children and when the food came it was lovely, and plenty of it. The staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them, we requested 3 small bowls of custard for the children's pudding as they had all managed a roast dinner and it was no problem at all. It is a lovely atmosphere, very welcoming and we all left saying we would certainly return and recommend it to our friends. Keep up the good work and thank you to all your lovely staff.

Nice village. Room was ok and clean. Tv was terrible,kept changing channels on its own and it was very small. Was a bit noisy as there was a wedding so I never slept to well.Breakfast was good. Check in and out very simple and quick.

Not at all child friendly. Visited for a special family occasion and left before the main course arrived after being ' told' by the waitress Julie that we were in the way. Service was slow.
