Tonight we discovered The Fisherman's steak night deal! And what a great deal it was! Huge beautifully cooked steaks served with fluffy centered chunky chips and salad, with jugs of peppercorn sauce to share ANDDD a bottle of wine between two people for just £25!! Excellent value, slick but friendly service and in a lovely location..with parking too! What a great evening..in the words of Arnold Schwarzenneger ...'I'll be back' #lovingtuesdays

Had the steak & ale pie here a couple of weeks ago & it was to die for! The pieces of steak were huge & really tender & the chips & veg were cooked to perfection. It was also a very generous portion & even I who never leaves a morsel had to leave a bit. Definitely coming here again! �

Had a birthday there staff food and atmosphere brilliant thanks to all will certainly be going again recommend to anyone

Been multiple times, lovely pub with a great atmosphere perfect whether you’re going for a drink or a meal. Staff are eager to please and will go out of their way to ensure everything is catered for.

A warm welcome awaits in the Fisherman's, we had 15 for New Year's Eve family meal, all the food came out together, hot, tasty and huge portions. Traditional pub food and all made on site. Happily eat here again.

Was a busy evening...arrived 6.45 with no booking and the 2 guys were helpful and found us space. We had a big dog and a little dog which were no bother, they gave us water when we we asked. They were not phased and welcomed us. We did have to wait a while but we expected to when we saw how busy it was. There were 2 young guys working their socks off. Our food was tasty and I liked the menu choices. Not sure if 2 staff is the norm or even if the place is always busy but I'd go back as it's fab after a good walk on the canal

Warm welcome, nice surroundings, nice food with large portions even for the early bird special menu Monday to Friday 5pm to 7.30pm! Try the steak and ale pie and I promise you'll be asking for a doggie bag! Would recommend!

Called for coffee during a lovely canal walk. Sadly the Coffee wasn't brilliant. Just wet and warm basically with no flavour ..... shame could be great. Didn't order food so can't comment

Been quite a few times and normally it's good. Tonight meal was ok but the dinning experience was spoilt by other dinners and their DOGS. I realise the pub is a dog friendly pub but could they not have a section for dinners and their dogs to site so they don't disturb other diners. Trying to eat while smelling wet dog was of putting. Won't be going again

So under staffed, it was a joke, ordered salmon @ £14, so over priced, and nothing special, plate was swimming in unseasoned sauce, owner, get your finger out and get some more staff on, tables full of empty plates, expect far more at these restaurant prices, will give it a miss in future.

went for a meal with my hubby at 2.45pm today .After 35minutes we still didn't have our order No one came near us.The bar man took my empty glass and never spoke.He knew we wanted a meal because he got his staff to clean our table.Wont be going back no food and staff were ignorant
