What a find this place is, my husband and I were out for a drive and came upon this Inn. Walking in to a warm welcome and pleasant surroundings we decided to eat whilst there. The food is first class and plenty to choose from whilst also being excellent value. The wine list was also plentiful, we will be returning. To find somewhere that ticks all the boxes is getting more rare, this place definitely does.

We've been a couple of times & enjoyed it the staff are very friendly & the food is perfect we was there yesterday for my partners mums birthday rather expensive but u don't mind when it's nice we will be going again

We got a new camper and decided to take it on a test run we did not go far ( we live in Farsley) and decided to go to any random pub we have not been to before . Wow we were so glad we found this place . It was done out so nice and relaxing. We decided to order food I got the chicken bacon tomato roll . And the wife got a menzzine platter and the kids got pizza �. I have to say every bite was amazing ( I tried everything) and the staff were great . They actually had a conversation with the kids which was nice . We will be back very soon with friends. Just cannot decide what to order next

We came for tea last night, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. The lady who served us was so good with my 2 year old little girl! We will be returning very soon.

Warm environment, courteous staff and quick service. I arrived with my husband and another couple, we ordered the sticky sharing platter and the prawn and mushroom platter to start. I ordered the lamb shank with all the trimmings (amazing), my friend had the trio of roast beef with all the trimmings and our husbands had the burger with chips..... we left nothing.... the food was beautiful. We will definitely recommend and visit again soon.

Stumbled across this place after a walk and was so suprised how nice it was when we entered ...lovely lighting ..so relaxed and great bar staff...we've booked our Valentine's meal here...the menu is tip top...get ya sens down...lovely place x

I have eaten at the George and Dragon inn several times and I have never been disappointed with the food, drinks nor the service here! It is one of my favourite places to come for a steak and the lamb duo is also amazing! I recommended everyone to come here, a nice relaxed meal with great service all round! Thank you to the servers Paige and Lucas who were very helpful on our most recent visit, I am looking forward to returning again in the near future!

Had a fabulous Roast Platter here on Sunday, lots to eat and really delicious. Service is great with really friendly people.

Always our first choice for a walk and lunch. The food and service never disappoint us and it's great that dogs are welcome both inside and out!

The starter was lobster and prawn then followed by steak and the pudding was apple with extras .£18.50 for 3 courses . Mine was fish with caper sauce and finished with crime bulee .. blooming amazing with a crispy top just right . I have deducted 1 star as Keith's steak was medium rare not medium . But that's a bit mean as the food all home made was fantastic .. will be back next week as it's our anniversary and it's a 2 hour drive but so worth it .

The George and Dragon has been beautifully refurbished but each time we've been its been a bit quiet, don't know why. Saturday evening it was very quiet but had a nice meal. Started with a melted Camembert in a box to share, nice enough but a bit pricey at £10.95, I had wanted salmon or lamb but unfortunately both had sold out so settled for veggie tart which was very nice. Alex had sausage and mash but he wasn't too impressed. One complaint though, the Proseco, at £3.95 a glass was lacking in bubbles, so disappointing. Why cant they serve the small bottles rather than have a full size bottle sat waiting? only reason I can think of is that they make more profit that way - shame to spoil a nice drink that way. All in all Ok, but better with more people to get a buzz going.

Although we visit frequently as it's our local I'm majorly disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options. The menu is exactly the same at xmas, Father's Day, Mother's Day etc etc. I noticed on our visit at weekend the pizzas have being removed from the menu and there was no vegetarian special only 4 meat dishes... so I won't be eating here again. Please change your menus once in a while and give us veggies some choice other than a bland veggie burger or pea risotto.

Went for a Christmas meal with friends food was great and the service was brilliant. Returned last night with a 20% off all food voucher. The menu is Quite extensive and portions were generous. Food quality was good and nothing seems to much trouble for the attentive staff. Will definitely be going back. Nice atmosphere too
